Metal rock god James Ronnie Dio dies

The Sydney Morning herald reports:

Ronnie James Dio, the metal god who replaced OzzyOsbourne in Black Sabbath and later piloted the bands Heaven & Hell and Dio, has died aged 67, his wife and manager say.

Dio announced last (northern) autumn he was suffering from stomach cancer. He was being treated at a Houston hospital, according to his website.

“My heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am,” said a statement by Wendy Dio posted on Sunday on the site and confirmed by publicist Maureen O’Connor.

Wendy Dio said friends and family were able to say their goodbyes to her husband, and asked for privacy. She concluded: “Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever.”

My Comments: You may observe in this picture (taken from smh.com.au) this man flashing the “Il Cornutu” signal of allegiance to the devil. Its the same sign that many world leaders like George W. Bush and others have flashed around over recent history. They all serve the same devil, but in different ways and in different guises.

I never listened to Dio’s music but I saw some of his album covers which totally glorified the devil and manifested a total contempt for our God and His servants on earth.

Be assured: God is not mocked. Once upon a time this man was a young man able to command the adulation of thousands and sell lots of records, make lots of money and enjoy what this world offers. Now where is his eternal soul? Would he really be enjoying power in Satan’s kingdom, or is it just possible that the devil – who recommends and inspires lying and deception – would lie to his followers also?

I found these lyrics from Dio’s song “Time To Burn” and I think they may be an appropriate reminder for God mockers today:

Someone told me I would never be free

The way you are is the way you’ll always be

But its all wrong

Just never say never

We’re gonna live forever

Cause you’ve got Time to Burn

Time to Burn

Young person: do you believe you have got “time to burn”? In the words of Led Zeppelin, in the song “Stairway to Heaven”, “Sometimes words have two meanings”. Think about it.

Regarding satanic music. These are the kind of tracks that when listened to intently, open the door for demons to possess and destroy the hearers.

This man may have been a rock “god” but he has just died of stomach cancer like any other man. Only Jesus Christ has defeated death by coming back physcially resurrected after a cruel death on the cross. The detractors and mockers of Christ cannot repeat his crowning achievement. Nor can they die to take away your sins. And if they end up in hell, where there is plenty of time to “live forever” and plenty of “time to burn” they will NEVER be able to rescue themselves from that place. Don’t join them.

A correction if you please, lets not use so broad of a brush stroke. This judgement (accusation), about Bush is, wrong on both counts, first it isn’t what you think it means, and second judging is wrong.

I know it would be very easy to say what you have about G. W. Bush, in relation to a lot of the other things he has done, but you can’t say the man is that blatant of an IDIOT. The sign he made that looks like the one this “IDOL” of rock made, does not have the same meaning.
You first have to understand the culture of the U.S., Bush is from Texas, where Texas football is very big, I mean “very, very big”. The sign Bush made is the gesture ‘Hook ’em, horns,” the salute of the University of Texas Longhorns.

    Luk 6:37
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

    Joh 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

The man G.W. Bush has made an open profession of faith, that makes him one of the brethren.
The truth of his salvation is only known to God, and himself.

    Jas 4:11
Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

    Matt.

As Casanova, the famous philanderer and womanizer was dying, he lifted his hands to heaven and said “I am a Christian!” Does that mean he was saved?

When I preached in Romania, everyone said that they were Christians. In fact, they told me, “We’ve been Christians for 2000 years! Go home and don’t preach to us!”

Barack Obama talks about his Christian faith. Does that make him a Christian?

Or is it Bush’s association with the Republican Party that makes his testimony credible?

      • a friend of God says:

“Assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” John 3:3.

…..”that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus & believe with your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, & with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9 – 10.

Please note: it does not say, “Give mental assent with your mind that God raised Christ from the dead.” You have to really believe God raised Jesus from the dead in the core of your being, or your confession means very little. The Bible makes it clear what heartfelt faith is and does. It results in a deep inner change.

Furthermore, Jesus himself taught, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but He who does the will of My Father in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21). Jesus also said in Luke 6:46, “Why do you call me Lord and you do not do what I say?” I can almost hear the response of some modern evangelicals here, “Because calling you Lord is enough for salvation, we know you never expected us to take your commands seriously as if we were to actually do them or anything”.

I suggest you read any of the books of the New Testament from start to finish and get from it a picture of what a person belonging to Jesus actually looks like. Don’t cherry pick. Just start from the beginning of Matthew, or John, or Acts or Romans, or Galatians, or 1 John or 2 Peter and read right through to the end of that back, to get a picture of the commitment of anyone who is a Christian such as God will recognise as HIS on the Last Day.
