What do YOU think?

  1. lookinforacity says:

    When you said
“I have joined this forum in order to have a better understanding of your religion and I hope you could enlighten me on the following points:”

Is it only a better understanding you are seeking?
Or do you want this enlightenment in order to become a Christian?
    Are you now a Muslim?
I am not asking these questions to offend you. But to let you know that there are some answers to your questions, that you personally will never know, or understand until you “DO” become a Christian, because they can only be spiritually discerned. In other words, without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, you cannot understand the Spiritual things of God. If you have never been born of God (“born again”) you cannot see
    or enter into these truths.

Jesus, and Paul have said it better than I ever could.

    John 3:3-12
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he CANNOT SEE the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he CANNOT ENTER into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; AND THAT WHICH IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT IS SPIRIT.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: SO IS EVERYONE THAT IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, WE SPEAK THAT WE DO KNOW, AND TESTIFY THAT WE HAVE SEEN; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, HOW SHALL YE BELIEVE, IF I TELL YOU OF HEAVENLY THINGS?

As I said before, I’m not trying to offend you, I want you to know there are questions that you will ask, that you can never understand the answer to, until you become a Christian.

I pray that God will open the eyes, and ears of your understanding, that He will soften your heart, allowing you to come to the full knowledge of His Son Jesus Christ, and the salvation that He has supplied for you.

    • Thank you lookinforacity,

I am a Muslim, and as a Muslim I love God and love Jesus more than myself, wife, parents, family and friends, as this is what the Quran and the prophet Mohamed tell us to do. For me to become a christian I have to make sure that this religion offers me something better, however you ask me to become a christian and then understand, when usually it should be to other way around. Islam answers all the questions that comes about god, the prophets, angels, life, death, judgment day, heave, hell, etc.

When someone says that God is the creator of heaven and earth, and then say that God was killed by humans his creations, don’t you find that to be even a little bit inconsistent?

      • Timothy Luke says:

Thank you And for your patience. You have asked five questions and allowed me to be distracted in the middle of replying.

Let me address the mystery of Jesus Christ crucified.

Genesis 1 tells us the God created the heavens and the earth. “God said, let us make man in our image…” This is the account of creation. God is one, yet we see plurality in the words, “let us”

John 1 answers that mystery showing, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” This is the revelation of God as Father and Son. Jesus was the Word. He is the one who “spoke and it was done.” The Father did not come to this earth when Jesus came. Jesus had to lift his eyes to heaven when He prayed because the Father was in heaven.

Jesus died completely on the cross, but the Father who implanted him in the virgin Mary, is also the one who retained the full power of the Godhead to raise Jesus from the dead. He raised Jesus as the first fruits of many brethren.

Now, And, you believe in an afterlife, but have you ever had fellowship with someone who was raised from the dead? The fact that Jesus is NOT dead is evident to me. His sheep hear His voice today. He personally is alive and well on the throne in heaven. He shall return from there and His reward will be with Him. So, it is a mistake to think I serve a dead God.

Please take a moment and read Our Story and you will read of how the Lord spoke audibly to my wife as he began her healing, and a year later when her healing was completed.

        Have a blessed day!

  2. Timothy Luke says:

    1) Who is God?

    2) What is the difference between a christian and any other person?

God is the author and creator of all that is. He created the heavens and the earth we see. He also created all that we cannot see. This includes the spirit world. We find this in scripture. “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” Colossians 1:15-17

God created all things good. However, when it came to people, God gave all living spirits the capacity to think for themselves and choose for themselves. Deuteronomy 30:19 and 20 is an example of this, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days….”

Lucifer, becoming prideful of the beauty and wisdom which the Lord endowed him with, went into rebellion, seeking the adoration and worship due to the Creator of all. In Ezekiel chapter 28 we read of this…

“Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

“Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

“By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

” Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.”

We find ourselves in the middle of this set of scripture. Satan, formerly Lucifer, is currently in charge of this world. Ephesians 2:1-6 reveals this:

” And you hath he quickened (made eternally alive)*, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation (conduct) in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened (made us alive to eternity) us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:”

When we speak of God as Christians, we understand God to be one in nature and purpose, but distinct in the persons of the Father, and the Son – Jesus Christ.

    John 1:1-2 tells us this:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

“In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”

Every single human being has the same Creator. This Creator is our common heritage. However, as we have seen, Satan is the prince of the power of the air. The “god of this world”. Satan often does things even in the name of Jesus Christ that are evil. It would be like me dressing up as you, with false identification that I was you. I commit a crime and leave a calling card saying I was you and I did this. This brings much confusion and accomplishes the devil’s purpose of accusing God and making God and Christ look evil. The only way to see past the deception is to know the Bible and what God says about who He is and what love is and what love isn’t. For “God is love.” scripture says.

In Eden, Adam and Eve forsook the covering and protection and authority of God and chose to see ‘good and evil’ for themselves. They were deceived, but Satan became the god of this world by their choice. The world since has been born into sin under this oppressor. There is only one who could redeem, or purchase back, mankind from the hand of the adversary. That one was the Word, who created all men, male and female, in His image.

The Word became flesh. God became man. That he might take the penalty of man upon Himself. He humbled himself and took our lowly estate upon himself in the person of Jesus Christ. He did not wield earthly or political power, but he confronted Satan’s kingdom head on and cast out devils, healing the sick and those oppressed by the devil.

Jesus Christ who created you And, is the only one who’s life was great enough to pay for your sins, as well as mine, because he created both you and I. It is only through accepting Him for who He is and receiving his gift of salvation for what it is, that saves us. When we are saved, we are now empowered to confront the works of the devil and cast out demons and heal the sick. I have received these works in my life and family. See Our Story to see how the natural course of our lives was changed and we were set free from the power of sin and the sickness it tormented us with. I now work to cast out devils and heal the sick today. I see others set free. Jesus Christ’s power to heal proves to me He is the one who made me in the first place. He has given sight to the blind – who else can do that but the one who gave sight in the first place?

In healing, Jesus proves He is Creator. In proving He is Creator, He proves I owe my life to Him alone. It proves He has a right to expect me to behave according to His desires. Thankfully my Creator is good and there is no evil in him.

I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. The “Lord” part is often ignored by the vast majority of those who call themselves Christians. Jesus warned that when He comes back at the end of this world “Many” will say they know Him, but He will judge us on whether we walk in love with God and man, or whether we just lived life for ourselves using his name as a form of illegal identification to mask our own selfish ways.

So, to answer your questions friend.

    Who is God?

He is Father and Son who created all things by their Holy Spirit and who through the Holy Spirit breathe eternal life into all who believe in the Son, Jesus Christ, who created all things for Himself and by whom all things exist. The same Jesus Christ who took on the form of His creation and subjected himself willingly to die that we might be purchased back by God, IF we so choose. Without Jesus, we are without hope of eternal life. With Him, we have that life in us today so that when we die, we are not dead forever but awaiting the coming of our Lord when the dead shall rise, some to everlasting life, and others to contempt.

God is the Judge of all the earth and every man, woman and child will stand before Him in judgement one day. He has the right to judge the earth because He created it.

In any event where judging occurs, there is a set of standards given on what is being looked for. What makes something acceptable, and what disqualifies it. If you take a dog to a dog show, there are very clear guidelines as to what the breed should look like. What makes it good and what makes it evil.

What is the difference between a Christian and any other person?

The God of the Bible gives clear guidelines called the law of God. God is love. God’s law is love. The New Testament is the law Christians are bound to live by. This calls us to surrender our lives in service to others, even to our own death. When we can love our enemies to the point of forgiving them even while they beat us and abuse us and kill us, we will have shown the love of Christ.

You can see the difference between Christian martyrdom and Muslim martyrdom in this.

Christians know when they die that their reward awaits them. They know they have salvation if they follow the Lord and keep His commandments. God’s love is not based on a fancy, or a whim or whether he happens to feel good on the day you die. Jesus Christ offers salvation to all who believe and keep the law of love, laying down our lives for one another, proclaiming the good news that we can live forever and be set free from the power of sin in our lives. We can overcome addictions and hatreds and lusts of the flesh that pollute us and bind us to sin.

Jesus came to set the captives free. give sight to the blind, set at liberty them that are bruised. Christians receive the benefits of that in this life and the next. Please do not judge Christianity on the people who keep it imperfectly, or claim to keep it but don’t even try. Please read the Bible, especially the new testament, and judge Jesus Christ and His way on what He has to say about Himself, not what others have to say about Him.

Blessings and peace to you as you seek to know more about Him.

    • Thank you, but I still cant understand certain issues:

      1) Is it fair for someone to be considered sinful even though he/she didn’t commit any sin? a child for example. Why isn’t everyone responsible for their own sins?

      2) What I also understand is that a christian could commit any sin and still be forgiven as Jesus has paid with his life for this. Why do they still have to pray? Is this the reason for the small number of people attending prayers?

      3) How can Jesus watch over you if his dead?

      4) Why God took humans limited form when he is the almighty?

      5) As you mentioned he created the heavens and earth, including Satan, why he has to confront his creation, when he is already in control?

These are some of the questions that came to my mind while reading.

Thank you again for your patience.

      • These are very good questions and they are all answered in God’s Word.

I don’t know how to begin answering them at this point as it is late for me and I a bit tired. Also I need to spend some time in the Bible to ensure my answers were accurate plus to give you the verses from which I got them.

I would just like to say at this point the best thing for you would be to read the Gospels. These are the first four books of what is known in the Bible as the New Testament. They are titled Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. These four accounts of Jesus Life and Ministry answer all the questions you ask her to some degree.

I need to head off and rest up for now. If I can I will come back and take a stab at one or two of these questions. I’m sure someone else may come by soon and begin answering some of these for you.

Praying that you will continue to serach for the Truth and for God and He will reveal Himself to you. Amen

The Bible tells us the following about seeking God.

PR 8:17 I love those who love me,
and those who seek me find me.

Welcome back Mel! It is so good to see you again. I missed your presence here, as I am sure others have as well…

          All God’s best to you,

      • Timothy Luke says:

        5) As you mentioned he created the heavens and earth, including Satan, why he has to confront his creation, when he is already in control?

Dear And, I agree with Mel. These are great questions! The last one touches on an answer even many Christians have not fully considered. I would like to answer that one first:

“he created the heavens and earth, including Satan, why he has to confront his creation, when he is already in control?”

This cuts to the core difference between God and Satan. It brings us to the very heart of both of their methods of operation. The answer gives one needed discernment as they seek to tell if it is God, or perhaps the devil, who is prompting them in any given circumstance.

The Bible tells us, “God is love.” The Bible also defines what love is. In the book of Matthew, 22:36-40, the new testament tells us of the most important teaching of Jesus…

“Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

Please notice Jesus is telling us the whole purpose of the Bible is to teach us how to love. The Bible is made up of

1 – The Law – Which is given to keep us in the law of love. When we look at the 10 commandments, they are given to define what love is and what love is not. “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” is the Creator’s instruction that tells us we are not created to have sex with anyone we desire to. Only the Creator knows how we best function in creation. Because we would not be here without Him, only He has the right to set these forth as commandments.

2 – The Writings – This part of scripture is an illustration through historical and poetical writings of what love looks like and what it does not look like. It is descriptive and instructive in how walking in love brings blessings, and how walking in hatred, pride, lust, etc, brings shame and destruction.

3 – The Prophets – Who gave their lives warning the people of their sin. “Sin is the transgression of the law” according to scripture.

Why am I telling you all this? Because to understand the answer to your question, one must have it in its proper setting, or context. God is love personified. Now it is important to look at key characteristics of love in action. 1 Corinthians 13 tells us HOW love functions. It tells us the motivations of love. And, since God is love, it will tell us the key to understanding the answer to your question, “why does God have to confront his creation if God is in control.”

“Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.”

Because God IS love. I can take the word “charity” and replace it with the word, “God”.

“God suffereth long, and is kind; God envieth not; God vaunteth not (Him)self, is not puffed up, Doth not behave (Him)self unseemly, seeketh not his own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.”

In short. God operates in the realm of relationship. He is our Father, and we relate to Him as a loving father. God has the power to “control” all things, but He has the wisdom to know that He can never control a person’s heart. God’s desire is for our hearts, first and foremost. If He has that, He can work with the imperfection of the rest and it will come in line because if we seek Him with our hearts, we will do whatever we need to on our end to meet God in His requirements to walk in perfect love.

If God trade to control us, and “make us” love Him, we would surely resent Him, wouldn’t we? Christianity, therefore, in its truest form does not force. Many things have been forced in the name of Chrisitianity, but that is like I mentioned earlier, identity theft. The devil doing his dirty work in the name of Christ, so that God gets blamed and accused for what the devil has done.

If God were to confront his creation at this time, it would be premature. God made man to have a choice. We have the freedom to choose, and the freedom to eat the fruit of our choices, so that our hearts may see that God is truly what our hearts desire and we can turn to Him and choose Him forever. To have a choice, one must have options. Lucifer had the choice to obey or rebel. He rebelled.

God is now using Satan to promote to mankind the opposite choice to love. That is fear. God operates out of love that gives us room to make mistakes, see the bad fruit of them, and turn to him, with our whole hearts. God gave man a choice in the Garden of Eden. They had “Plan A” to simply obey the Lord, or “Plan B” which a snake offered. He warned them that the consequences of Plan B would be “in dying you shall die,” or eternal death. He offered Plan A in the option to eat of the Tree of Life.

When they chose Plan B, Satan became the god of this world. We elected our ruler to a 6,000 year term that all men would be ruled by. The god of this world rules by force. He IS in control, and he uses fear, manipulation and intimidation to advance his agenda. He sows strife, accusation, envy, greed, hatred and murder between family members and nation states.

If God, who is truly all powerful, excercised His power to control – without first giving us the chance to choose – He would be contradicting who He is. God is love. He is longsuffering. He bears all things and endures all things. When you look at an all powerful God who chose to become man and then chose to die a hideous death, you get a glimpse of the humility of God, driven by His love for you And, and I.

In the Garden of Eden, do you remember what he did to cover Adam’s sin? He killed an animal, shedding its blood and took the skin of it to cover man’s nakedness. When He did that, He was commiting Himself to likewise be killed, stripped naked all to cover our spiritual nakedness, which is sin. This is because God operates out of love, and the devil operates out of fear.

In this time, God is giving man time to choose, from our hearts and minds, whom we will serve. We can serve the god of this world and his religions, or we can choose to serve the God of love, who will one day soon come and say “the time is up, I am now going to rule forever and ever.” If we choose to serve this God of love, we too will lay down our lives and love our enemies even though they beat, or bomb, or kill us. In doing this, true Christians follow the example of Jesus Christ and look forward to the same reward Jesus received. (This answers another of your questions) Jesus is NOT dead. Jesus is alive. Jesus rose again from the grave. He spoke with and taught his disciples for another 40 days and then ascended.

Acts 1:11 “The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? (this is the soon coming time appointed when he will destroy Satan without a fight and put to rest forever the rebellion Lucifer began) And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”

The disciples who bore witness to this event, were killed because they would not refute these things. What man would die for a lie? If there was no hope of resurrection, these men would in his heart know they would cease to exist forever at death and would not choose to die, but rather renounce a lie and live to an old age.

It is so easy to ask the question, and so complicated to answer it my friend! I have answered two of your questions, this time and will come back and reply to the others at earliest opportunity. I hope this helps you understand the heart of the message Jesus came to teach a little better.

        • Thank you Tim,

your answer raises other questions, but I wont ask them at the moment, so that I don’t burden you further. But I would like to mention a point regarding the first question I asked, when asking a Muslim:

          Who is God?

I receive this answer from the Quran:

          Sura 112:

          1. Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;

          2. Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;

          3. He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;

          4. And there is none like unto Him.

Isn’t this a more appropriate and clearer answer to the question?

          Thank you,

          • Timothy Luke says:

There are many similar scriptures attributing these things to the Father and Son. My answer is founded upon the character of God, because when all is said and done, we must judge whether the god we serve is true to the definition ascribed to God, who is love. Even in Christianity, there are those who think they are serving Jesus Christ, but it is really a counterfeit as one can see if they look at “who God is as revealed in scripture,” as opposed to who it is they think they are serving.

“By their fruits you shall know them.” So, whoever the true God is, He is love and there is no darkness or shadow of turning with Him. James 1:17. When someone says they are serving God, but their actions are not consistent with the definition of love, we have a clue.

      • God is Holy. He cann’t accept things that are unholy. But he loves me more than anyone. So that he wants me to be accepted by him so holy. But unfortunately i am a sinner ie not perfect. So he made Christ the flawless one as a sacrifice to forgive my sins. If not so i would have been crucified. Christ resurrected to glorify the Father, to be a mediator between Father and myself, and also to give a new life to me. Christ died not because of the inability to save himself but because he was born for that very purpose to die. It is done for the whole human kind but only those who realizes that they are sinners and accept this will be benefited.
The death represents that (if i really realizes and repents) i also died with Christ on the cross to and for my sins and sinful nature. The resurrection represents that now i am given a new life through Christ’s so that i can lead a life that God wants. At the same time it is not a license for me to sin or keep on sinning. It’s not simply saying that i believe or have faith. According to Bible faith is something that is put into action. That is leading a life that God wants.
The sins are forgiven only when we really realize, repent that it is a sin and ask for forgiveness. Accepting Christ will deliver one from the power of sin. before that he was a slave to sin. Sin was my master. But now Christ is his master and so he is a christian as he has the spirit of Christ in him. Not all who are born in a christian family are called christians. This what the Bible says. Now that one is freed from the land of slavery and is travelling towards the promised land.
According to bible the gathering as a church is: To have more knowledge of God and understanding Bible more through preachers, pastors. To guide,to advice, to convict their sins among believers according to Bible so that it will help them to lead a holy life before God, to worship Lord for what he has done. Praying is nothing but conversing with God just like we converse with our earthly father or friend. you can give thanks, praise, asking for forgiveness tell ur need(ofcourse he knows that before we tell him),, problems anything to him in person.
Regarding the child thing i’ll give you an explanation which i read from another source. If a child tries to eat something from the floor, we will prevent that and tell that child not to do that. but again if the child wants to do the same, he/she will slowly look at us and if he feels that we are not watching over him, then he slowly tries to do that (violate what we told him). If he knows that we watch over him
then he will act as if he he obeys us. From where does this nature comes to a child? Definitely we don’t teach this to the child but very volunterely and unknowingly it does that. This is because of the sinful nature inbuilt in us. If a child dies, i don’t know on what basis God will judge that child. but i know how will he judge me? i feel instead of thinking what will happen to him it is better to think what will happen to me on the judgement day?
Do you seriously think can anyone be there without sinning? If so that is definitely only from his own point of view and not from God’s point of view. For God to accept us we must be righteous according to his point of view.
(though in many cases it is easy for us not to steal, murder, prostitute, it is easy to commit the following sins: being angry, gossiping, hurting someone through our words, teasing, speaking bad of some one, watching and thinking bad things(like some bedroom scenes in movies), lusting, greediness, jealous, boasting, telling lies, cheating …….etc….)

      • Though God created everyone, he didn’t create us like a programmed robot just to do what he tells us. Instead he gave us free will. He gave us knowledge to know what is good and what is bad. he also taught us what is good and what is bad. because of our free will ,now it is our choice to choose the good and the bad. it is our resposibility.

      • dear and, if i am not wrong according to quran , allah lifted christ and so he didn’t die on cross,n also he will come back again. why should allah lift him up ?to save him?if so why he allowed prophet mohammed to whom he gave his word to die that to by eating some poisonous food? If he is not God and is like an ordinary human why should he be born miraculously through a virgin?
“‘So (it will be), your Lord said: ‘That is easy for Me: And to appoint him as a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us (from God)’, and it is a matter (already) decreed (by God).’ ” (Quran 19:16-21)” . in this pls explain this verse especially what is sign to mankind and mercy from god through christ?

‘And peace was on me the day I was born, and peace will be on me the day I shall die, and the day I shall be raised up to life again.’ That was Jesus, son of Mary. This is a statement of the truth concerning which they entertain doubt.”—Qur’an, Surah 19:30-35. what does this mean?(this verse i took from the site to ur belief system pls define sin. and also tell about the heaven that is who will be in heaven and how will be he happy in heaven?

        • Thank you sann,

For answers to your questions and more I recommend these articles:

From Timothy Luke: I have deleted links as per forum rules, “Links: You may post one Link per week, first month, two per week after that. The moderators reserve the right to remove any link to sites which we do not wish to promote.”

I can understand your desire to promote Islam. I recommend you take the time to share your personal thoughts on it with Sann. I do not wish to promote links to sites that speak against what we are seeking to promote. I am sure you can understand that as well, and I thank you for your understanding in this. We are happy to be a resource for your inquiries into Jesus Christ and you are welcome to share your personal faith as you explore ours.

            Peace to you,

          • And, instead of giving links for all questions, i think it would be better if you personally post your views for the questions that have been asked?

Greetings And. This is a forum devoted to the discussion of the “Christian” faith. Your submission of a YouTube video link was not in keeping with the stated purpose of this site, and so I have removed it. May I suggest this link in its place?

A Muslim forum may be a better place to post your submission. Jesus Christ loves you and died for you. I hope you will take a moment to view this video, even as you desired us to take a moment to review yours. Peace to you.

    Thank you,

    • Thank you Timothy Luke.

I have joined this forum in order to have a better understanding of your religion and I hope you could enlighten me on the following points:

      1) Who is God?

      2) What is the difference between a christian and any other person?

Be patient with me and forgive my ignorance.

      Thank you again,

And, I am thankful for your understanding of my need to keep the focus of the board on Christianity. You ask core questions that cut to the heart of the issue. I will seek to answer these things in the next hour or two. I see you are online at present, but I have a couple people I am scheduled to pray with before I can thoughtfully reply to your questions. Have a blessed day.
