Lakeland Deception is Serious

Its sad to say folks, but nowadays many of the leaders in the charismatic movement can no longer be trusted. The love of money, influence, fame, power and zany spiritual experiences has, for many of them, overcome the love of truth, integrity – actually the love for the true God. Whether this expresses itself as endorsement for bizarre and unbiblical practices, support for America’s imperial wars of destruction and mayhem, or enthusiasm for Roman Catholic spirituality – the truth is that we are going to have to choose between following Jesus and following these leaders.

The supernatural seduction that has been going on with Todd Bentley at Lakeland, Florida AND BEYOND has been powerful enough to deceive prominent big name third wave ministries like Peter Wagner, Rick Joyner, Che Ahn, John Arnott, Steve Hill (sadly), John Kilpatrick, Wes and Stacey Campbell and many others. However, its interesting and gratifying to note that many God-fearing children of God have seen through it.

I remain open to correction on the basis of the Word of God, but not on the basis of appeals to the so-called “apostolic authority” of people who have mutually recognised each other as apostles and prophets of God. As I have sought to point out, God warned us that in the last days people would DEPART FROM THE FAITH giving heed to seducing spirits. Folks, it is happening now. You better get to know God’s Word and what the fruit of the Spirit really is if you are going to avoid the deception. Because Jesus promised that lying signs and wonders will happen in the Last Days to deceive even the elect, if that were possible. Once people depart from the truth – be it for money, fame or supernatural thrills, they open the door to deceiving spirits.

We are told in God’s Word, “Beloved believe not every spirit, but test the spirits, to see if they are from God”.

Is this tribal type dance of God? – I DOUBT IT!

Please pray and put God’s armor on before you look at this video from Lakeland, showing the worship leader dancing as if in a demonic trance. If you are like me, you won’t be able to bear watching the whole thing right through. Only watch it if God leads you. It sickens me.

This is the kind of thing that has been accepted in today’s lukewarm, apostate, carnal “prophetic” movement as being a form of “spiritual warfare”. The incessant hypnotic drumbeat, the glazed look in the eyes and the party atmosphere are all signs that this HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR HOLY GOD.

James 3:18 “And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.”

There is no peace in this noise. It is a restless, sensual spirit bringing agitation.

I say these things with absolutely no fear that I am blaspheming the Holy Spirit. In fact, since I have started to come against these abominations, I have sensed the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit more than before. I have seen miraculous answers to prayer in the last day, even someone was reported healed. I’ve had a great desire to pray with the people from our church, and we’ve been doing that together.

We are not against the operation of spiritual gifts, but we are told to “believe not every spirit”. That is not the same as “believe in nothing if it is spiritual”. But in these deceptive days, we must be willing to test the spirits.

Modern pentecostal culture has encouraged the hero-worship of “anointed men of God”, who are not to be questioned in church life. Some of these men will curse those who oppose them and their deceptions, in plain contradiction to the Word of God, and they quote Scriptures out of context like “Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm”.

For example, take a look at Benny Hinn placing curses on those who oppose his “anointing” and “ministry”. Thank God for true prophets of God like David Wilkerson who have placed TRUTH above popularity by warning people of things like this.

Unlike some other traditions, you cannot question things that happen in pentecostal meetings because there is no forum for it. You’ll be thrown out of the meeting by bouncers if you try. This has set up the leaders of the Third Wave movement to fall into deception. The Third Wave movement began, in my view, with wonderful restored truths which were biblical. But it has now been hijacked by money hungry elitist false prophets. Some of these false prophets began as true prophetic ministers, but they began to receive false spirits and false anointings, to deceive and be deceived.

Now thanks to the internet and in particular video clip sites like youtube, we can see what is going on, and see what people are saying, without paying for planes and hotels to go to these places. Its not just hearsay – you can hear on video what these people are saying for themselves.

Here’s Todd Bentley talking about the violent methods he claims the Lord told him to use in healing ministry:

Do you believe the Holy Spirit would tell a minister that the reason the power of God is not moving is “Because you haven’t kicked that woman in the face”. Would the Holy Spirit tell someone to “kick her in the face with your biker boot?”

I am afraid it gets a lot worse than this, folks. Did you see how the people were taking delight in this, laughing and so on? People are being deluded by this three ring circus.

Todd Bentley has tried to defend himself in regards to the female angel that the false prophet Bob Jones introduced to him. This angel “Emma” is apparently the one moving people to give so much money to Todd. Believe me, only the devil would be leading people to give money to this “revival”.

Anyway, here is how Todd defends himself on his website at freshfire . ca/?Id=1059&pid=993 (Remove spaces if you want to check it out)

“Even though they appeared as men, they are still genderless. Emma appeared to me in angelic form appearing feminine, which is not to say Emma was female or had a gender. This was the first angel I’d ever seen in feminine-like form, in this motherly nurturing type of persona that opened up a well of healings and breakthrough.”

Todd says angels are genderless, and so it isn’t really a problem if they appear as female and have female names.

But what does the Bible say?

Dan 9:21 “Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.”

Apparently the angel Gabriel is referred to as a man. They don’t reveal themselves in feminine form. I do not believe that God has cross-dressing trans-sexual angels either.

In all the biblical accounts of angels appearing, they were perceived as men. We have to throw out the Bible as a yardstick if we start accepted angels called “Emma” who while “not female”, definitely manifest in a feminine form. Give me a break.

We are in extremely dangerous times, and it is now possible that corrupted forms of apostate Christianity will reach certain people through the mass media before the biblical gospel of reconciliation with God through the cross of Christ does.

I hope its evident to you by now that you cannot take the risk of exposing your soul to anyone who has anything to do with this “Lakeland outpouring”. Run away. Get with a pastor who rejects this garbage, and seek the Lord and His Word as much as you can.
