in need of deliverance!!!

i truly need prayer. i keep on doing the same sin over again and again, the thing is I’m aware that this is the sin, the only thing I’m asking is a prayer for deliverance. I’m burning in spirit and i love the Lord so much. The kind of prayer that i need is the prayer that will cut-off the strongholds and the roots of this sin (feelings). And the other thing is i once had a “boyfriend”, we separated long ago but whenever i go to bed i always think about him yet i don’t love him anymore could you please also pray for me i truly need deliverance and cut-off the soul tie with the spiritual sword between me and him.
Please pray for me I’m tired of this i need deliverance.

What do YOU think?

  1. Fast and pray to gain control of your thought life. Read God’s word and love and worship Jesus extra during this fast. Remember Jesus is our example and he fasted and prayed much to keep focused on his mission and we must do the same thing. speak the word of God over yourself and build the faith to move that mountain! Jesus said we could!

  2. As Redbuck said to you, are not alone.

God will not remove your desires or take you from these things that tempt you. They are the works of our enemy the devil, but God strengthens us through our resisting of these temptations.
What we need to realize is that with each victory we have over temptations it is easier to overcome the next, but also, we must not yield to the temptations as it will be harder to break the next time.

1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

In our Spiritual Walk He will keep us from yielding to them and all things contrary to His Word.
Thoughts and feelings are not sin, but are warnings that you are under attack from the devil.

Our part then is to confess our sins, move away from temptation. Confess what is necessary – get your mind on God and His goodness to you. If the temptation lingers you need to start to read your Bible, pray and thank Him for saving you from those evils. Draw close to God, and He will give you the power to overcome.

There once was an e-mail that did it’s rounds about 2 wolves in the snow where a Red Indian and his grandson were sheltering, it went something like this if I recall: One wolf was good and the other bad – with a whole story behind it the little boy asked his granddad which was the stronger wolf, upon which the old man answered ‘The one you feed my boy, the one you feed.’
    Jesus loves you!

  3. His grace is sufficient for you.

Do you think that you are the only one who suffers in this way?

Paul never forgot that he presecuted the Church, but what he did do is use that memory to his advantage.

If I was the kind of person that says, well… go to this passage and then that passage I would probably send you to:
    Hebrews 9
“…how much more shall the blood of Christ (who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God) purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”

My conscience (or is it something else?) still to this day continues to accuse me of things done years ago, but I thank Father that he will continue to redeem me from the deeds of wickedness, instilling me with holiness helping me to stand firm, to be ready for the day when my salvation is completed.

I can tell you I long for the day when my work is finished, when I die and can no longer be touched by sin.

      Hi Redbuck

      When you say.
“I can tell you I long for the day when my work is finished, when I die and can no longer be touched by sin.”

What is your work that will be finished, are you not now free from sin?

      Rom 6:8
Now if we be (DEAD WITH CHRIST), we believe that we shall also live with him:

      Gal 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: (NEVERTHELESS I LIVE); yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

      Rom 6:18
Being then made (FREE FROM SIN), ye became the servants of righteousness.

      2Co 5:21
For (HE HATH MADE HIM TO BE SIN FOR US), who knew no sin; that

      Be Blessed

      • A corpse cannot be tempted, nor can it give in to sin.

Work? I am a servant of the King doing his bidding…what other work is there?

The Romans quote goes on to say “Therefore do not let sin rule in your mortal bodies so that you obey its desire; and do not off any part of yourselves to sin…”

It doesn’t rule, nor do I deliberately offer parts to sin, but I get tempted all the same.

2 Corinthians you missed a vital point this grace is something we have to do. Like in Php “…cultivate your salvation with fear and trembling…for it is God working in you.”

Therefore the struggle over sin will continue as I continue to cultivate, chipping out the weeds of sin in my flesh.

Galations is spot on, today I do live by faith, I have great faith that my God, when I am tempted, will deliver me by his grace.

        1 Corinthians:
No temptation has taken you but what is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but with the temptation also will make a way to escape, so that you may be able to bear it.

Blessed is the man who endures temptation, because having been approved he will receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to the ones loving Him.

So far Father has given me many ways to escape, but yet I am still tempted, and every time I ask to escape it. Some temptations have been reduced significantly, whilst others take the lead.

2 Peter makes it clear that we are to grow and be fruitful in knowledge of The Lord Jesus and that the person who doesn’t is blind and has forgotten that he was purged of his PAST sins.

My former sins are forgiven, my future has no sin, because I haven’t done them yet.

Romans is talking about being slaves of sin and changing to be slaves of righteousness but if you read further down it says “…offer your parts as slaves to righteousness which leads to being made holy, set apart for God.”

I am a slave to righteousness and am in the process of being made holy. 1 John shows us that again it is a process of cleansing, because if we say we have no sin we lie to ourselves, if we say we haven’t sinned we say that Jesus is the liar, but if we continue to confess he will continue to cleanse.

Jim my advice to you is learn the bible in context and remember the bible is not a collection of half and full sentences that you can use to prove a point, for in answering in disjointed verses all you have proved is that you have a concordance.

          Hi Redbuck

You have quoted this as a passage from the bible, but I cannot find which bible you seem to be using, I have gone through the 25 different translations to which I have access.

“…offer your parts as slaves to righteousness which leads to being made holy, set apart for God.”

          Be Blessed

          • Redbuck40 says:

            Romans 6:19
            Complete Jewish Bible
(I am using popular language because your human nature is so weak). For just as you used to offer your various parts as slaves to impurity and lawlessness, which led to more lawlessness; so now offer your various parts as slaves to righteousness, which leads to being made holy, set apart for God.

I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

I put this in human terms because you are week in your nature selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness.

I can see how you could have missed it, different words, same meaning.

  4. Timothy Luke says:

The Lord is faithful to deliver us from the power of sin. When we are caught in the trap of it, there are two weapons we need to use with discernment from God. These are Repentance, and Forgiveness. I can only guess that you have been repenting by saying, “I am sorry” over and over. But have you taken steps to leave this sin behind?

Trusting that you have been doing such, then forgiveness is also a weapon you may need to be using. Have you forgiven those who have violated you, betrayed you, abused you, accused you, rejected you, abandoned you? These things happen, but if we harbor unforgiveness, we are turned over to tormentors and your sin with its guilt and shame may be part of that picture.

Please, let me know what you think of this….

Blessings and deliverance to you sister.
