I don’t know where else to go for help, pls anyone help… my 24yr old son has been diagnosed about 2yrs ago with a form of schizophrenia, they not 100persent sure of the diagnosis… He was defntly psychotic… i think… but it was all to do with demons not wanting to leave him alone…. he never wanted to talk about it to me.. he also believe it is spiritual and that the meds is not helping, to me he looks and functions better on the meds, but he is still strugling with demons… today he talked to me about it and told me they are still tormenting him.. touching his private parts, its not constantly but happens randomly, sometimes waking him up at night….. he said: mum, i’ve bought myself a rope, sometimes i think its the only way out…. pls help me. what do you think? is it just schizpophrenia or is there a chance that it may be demonic in nature and that he can be helped? Pls help…

First I want to say that I am sorry that you are going through this and I want to let you know that there is hope. I was delivered from the utter darkness of 7 years of major manic depression. I would be happy to talk with you about it off line because there is a lot to it but the one action that changed it all was I honestly took Jesus as my Savior. I have been symptom free for about 10 years and I don’t take any meds. You did not mention if your son has been saved but if he hasn’t then that is a must. Also I would talk with someone in the faith that is bible believing, mature, and that you both trust. If your son has taken Jesus as savior then Tim’s idea is great I would only add that it’s important to seek local spiritual guidance as soon as possible because it is very difficult to help with this in this format. One last thing I would mention, I am not sure if your son is using any chemicals recreationally (I did) but that will make things much worse spiritually. This includes alcohol. Again I am very happy to offer my assistance off line if that is something you are interested in. I will continue to pray for you both.

God Bless in the mighty name of Jesus Christ,

    • 1 Timothy 2:5-6 King James Version (KJV)

      5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

      Hebrews 12:2King James Version (KJV)

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

  2. Timothy Luke says:

A man who attended a seminar went to visit a lady with severe depression and paranoid schizophrenia.   She was on all types of medicine with nose bleeds and panic attacks.  He asked her this question, “Would you really like to be free?”  She answered, “Yes!” That began a new way of ministry and they started working through Biblical Foundations of Freedom and Wellspring Ministries.  She is now set free.

This is a testimony from Wellspring Ministries in Alaska.

This minstry is an offshoot of a ministry I once worked for. The understanding of schizophrenia they work off of is found in Frank and Ida Mae Hammond's book, "Pigs in the Parlor." You can look them up and speak to someone to double check what I am about to share…

Schizophrenia is a complex mental illness rooted in fear, stemming from rejection. There are numerous issues to work through and bitterness is a chief one in addition to the first two.

Here is my take on it… The disease is often diagnosed by the chemical imbalance in the brain. This imbalance is not the disease, or its cause… it is a physical symptom with spiritual roots. Deal with the rejection, fear of rejection, fear, bitterness at self others and God, and the hypothalmus will begin to properly regulate the chemicals to the brain.

There IS hope. Your son CAN be free! But, as the testimony shows, he will have to reach out for it and fight for it.

"Father, deliver this son from the snare of the devil. I pray you will grant him repentance to the acknowledging of the truth that he may escape and be free from the demonic bondage of this condition. Give hope to his heart, I pray in Jesus' name. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I speak life over this man. We declare, "he shall not die, but live and proclaim the works of the Lord! We break the power of suicidal ideation and a spirit of death from him in Jesus' name, and speak restoration, hope and deliverance in the name of Jehovah Nissi, the Lord Our Banner. Amen."

He will need to take his thoughts captive. He will need to be in the Word to do so. He will need to forgive those who have deeply hurt him… my guess is his father has deeply rejected him or he was abandoned. He appears to be under the curse of being turned over to tormentors, as per Matthew 18:23-35. Love him and seek out help from Wellspring by clicking the link I posted, in addition to what Michael has written you.

Blessings and peace to you sister! Tim

    • Tim, we need you on this site. I hope you will be able to keep writing because God has equipped you well and there are a lot of people who visit this site who need help and encouragement.

I've lost your phone number, if you could send it to me by PM or email that would be great.

  3. Hi, you'll need to reaffirm your love for your son often. Let him know suicide is NOT a way out – it is a way INTO ETERNAL TORMENT.

God's full salvation is the way out of torment. If you can find a loving church that understands deliverance ministry, that is best. Until that time, your son needs a good diet of the Word of God and praise music, and plenty of love.

Please look up Andrew Goodwin on the internet, who posted a testimony on this site and also on youtube. He was healed of schitzophrenia.
