I want a well structured argument for why i should believe that God exists, not a "because the Bible says so" kind of answer.

What people really perish for
It is a mistake to focus on the leaves rather than on the root and life of the underlying tree.
It is not as if your nice friends are going to hell BECAUSE they are practicing homosexuals. That is just one way that people sin against God and break His laws. Even if they were straight, they would still be condemned if they rejected a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. So will you, and so would I if I forsake Him.
Different people make various idols of pleasure, of sex, of money,of themselves or other things. In doing so, they violate the first commandment which says, "You shall have no other god before me". Jesus said the greatest commandment is to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength". To violate this is also to reject the authority of God.
To reject the authority of God puts you outside the Kingdom of God. There is another who will claim you as his own - the devil.
Too bad
There are plenty of links on my site dealing with the issue of God's existence and the evidence for it. Sadly you have chosen to major on the homosexual issue and take offense with it.
Your "cover" is not needed for you to be taken seriously. It doesn't matter to me if you are 16 or 13 or 102, you are posting quite intelligently and asking good questions so you would be welcome on this site as far as I am concerned.
Do drop in again another time, when you'd like to.

I can't help but take offence with it, i have a number of gay friends who are some of the nicest people i have ever met and have helped me through some of the hardest times of my life. i cannot accept that God would let such people perish for expressing their love to their partners in a physical manner like any other human beings ):

most people take offence and tell me to respect my elders a lot
