Christmas
The day December 25th was not the day on which Christ was born. It is around the date of the winter solstice and had significance in the pagan calendar. The Roman Catholic church took that date and turned it into a day to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. They found a lot of other ways to celebrate particular days which were not based on biblical history.
Its a convenient opportunity to evangelise people and get people to church (so is every day if your eyes are open) but there is no reason apart from human convention to celebrate the day as the birthday of Jesus.
sorry
