"For all the promises of God in Him are "Yes," and in Him "Amen," to the glory of God through us. " (2 Corinthians 1:20)
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ" (Ephesians 1:3)
"He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up on behalf of us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" (Romans 8:32)
I want to emphasise what these verses also say, that the promises of God are for those "in Him", that is, "in Jesus Christ". You need to first of all settle the issue of your adoption into God's family, and be sure that you are a child of God. If you are sure of this, then remain in Jesus, and all the promises and blessings are for you to receive. They have been given to you.
Here are things we can ask for:
Wisdom:
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it shall be given to him." (James 1:5).
The Bible teaches that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, so when God gives wisdom, He also gives the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil. So God will give you a hatred for evil, and an ability to know and do the right thing, the best thing, if you ask Him.
Salvation from Sin
"Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those coming to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them." (Hebrews 7:25)
The power of sin can be utterly broken over our lives, because "we were buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life" (Romans 6:4). If these verse mean anything, they mean that God can save us from the POWER of sin. "For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace
