Everyone I'm having an issue with walking in the spirit. Please pray that I don't slip again, I know it can get ugly with the enemy when that happens.

Re: Walking in the Spirit

Hi Joshua

Here are the verses concerning your problem, go to the chapters where they are and read everything which involves you personally.

Rom 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

This verse says, Satan does not have "ANY Legal Rights", to condemn you any more. {:>)
You have died to the flesh, and become alive to the Spirit.

Rom 8:4
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

This verse says the law has been fulfilled concerning us, righteousness isn't something you are trying to attain any more, Jesus fulfilled the law for us, we are now the Righteousness of God in Christ.

Gal 5:16
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Endeavor to have the fruit of the Spirit abounding in your life, because against such there is no law.
That is the sum total of walking in the Spirit.

Gal 5:25
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

What Paul is saying here, is that "WE DO" live in the SPIRIT, as it was stated in Rom. 8:9.

Be Blessed
JIM

Re

Thanks for those scriptures, I'll look into them.

That answers something else I've been wondering. Who are the righteous? WE are righteous in Christ Jesus. Cool! Laughing out loud
Not to say that we are holier than thou, but those scriptures apply to us now.

Thanks Jim!

Denying Self

Joshua - putting self under control is a daily task. The old man will try to resurface at times, but we must learn to put him away in divine faith and divine love. Smile

Re denying yourself

Oh that's a good answer too, I'll keep that in mind as well.

Re: When you fall...

Thank you, I appreciate your fellowship.
Body of Christ indeed.

Hmm...
An answer I've received is just "follow me". How do I follow? "The helper"
AMEN!

When you fall...

We will be there to pick you.

When you laugh we will laugh,

When you weep we will weep.

But never forget that Father is willing and able to help you walk this life in every step.

I remember talking to Father one day asking him (we had a big flat rock, about 1 acre, on our property where I would go and spread out my life before Father) you really want ME to be righteous? “Yes”. But how will YOU do it? “I won’t unless you let go of YOU and hang on to ME”

Since then I have used the phrase with my wife, “one hand in Father’s and one hand in yours, and let us walk”.

I would encourage you to walk with Father hand in hand.
