Jesus is Mighty God
Dear Davidfun, How do you read Isaiah 9:6. Doesn't Jesus bare all the Names of the trinity? Isn't He Emmanuel, "God with us"? Anyway Jesus is portion of the Father. In Hebrews 1:8, it is written, "But about the Son He says, "Your throne O God, will last for ever and ever....."
the roles of TRINITY
Hello, First let me start by saying this was a great article... i will pray for you that GOD continue using you for his work...
one thing i learn about satan was that i never knew he was an archangel... when i heard he was i start thinking to myself how could an archangel be that powerful when he's not even one of the highest ranked angels... than again with a blank of an eye GOD would waste him.... that should give people a clue of how powerful GOD really is...
QUESTION: My question is what is the roles of the trinity: the father, the son, and the holy spirit what are the roles of each of them....
Trinity
Michael, I am not sure that you really want to get deep into this subject as your doctrine statement already shows you have made a decision regarding the Trinity. First of all, the word "God" comes from the Hebrew word ELOHIM in Genesis 1:1. Translators use the generic term "God" which doesn't do justice to the Hebrew word. ELOHIM consists of two parts: base and suffix. The base is ELOHI which means goddess, noun, singular and the suffix is M which is a masculine plural ending. Together they comprise the word ELOHIM which indicates ONE entity with TWO essences, masculine and feminine (notice no SON is part of this word definition). Genesis 1:26-28 affirms this information when ELOHIM says that "He" created man in "His" image; male and female. Gen 1:2 is the first appearance of the female essence called RUACH ELOHIM from which translators called "Spirit of God". Ruach is a feminine noun. Gen 2:4 is the first appearance of the male essence called YHWH ELOHIM from which translators called "LORD God" with LORD being a masculine noun. RUACH ELOHIM and YHWH ELOHIM in Hebrew do not have the identifier "OF" as part of their name, thus when translators added the "OF" in Genesis 1:2 it was to try to agree with our usage of the concept. Grammatically it should have been left as SPIRIT God just as YHWH ELOHIM was listed as LORD God because these are the names of the individual essences WITHIN ELOHIM. ELOHIIM is the whole and RUACH and YHWH are the two essences that comprise the whole. RUACH is not part of YHWH as many theologians want to put Her but rather She is the female essence of ELOHIM. Also, the translation of YHWH as LORD takes away the male identity of ELOHIM and makes it a "Title". One time YHWH is a title and another time translators and theologians want to make it the name of "God". In reality it is the "Name" of the male essence of ELOHIM whereby ELOHIM is the Name of the Supreme Being that consists of two essences RUACH ELOHIM (feminine) and YHWH ELOHIM (masculine).
Jesus is the FIRSTBORN of all creation (Col 1:15) and is the BEGINNING of ELOHIM's actions. Being an offspring (son) means by definition that he has not always existed as the Father has and is therefore NOT God but rather he is the "Son of God". Nowhere has Jesus or the Bible made the claim that Jesus is/was God. It is only thru church doctrine that this has come about.
Therefore, if you or the church makes Jesus to be God you are breaking the first Commandment and have created a "false god".
By most agreements some characteristics of God would be these: #1 God EXISTS!!
No Mother
No Father
No genealogy
No beginning of days (beyond the limitation/boundary of time)
No end of life
Jesus claims that God is his Father and his God. Jesus claims to be the Son of God and Son of Man....either way he is a son and therefore comes into existence.
God said that He sent His only BEGOTTEN son into the world to save it. Jesus is our Savior, but NOT our God.
Everything was created THRU Jesus and God said that He gave it/all to His son thus making Jesus our creator, but again NOT our God.
The ACT of creation doesn't make Jesus or God our God or even a characteristic of God, rather it is an act. Just as the act of begetting of Jesus doesn't define God, it only explains how Jesus came into existence and is the first of God's acts.
My question: If you make Jesus out to be "God" and he isn't would you have "Salvation"? Wouldn't this be akin to what Jesus warned us about in the Bible about following "false Jesuses"?
God orders us to worship His son and gives him a name above all others but this worship doesn't make God's son the same as God as Trinitarians would like to put it.
Would you believe me if I told you that I am my own father and that we were the same?
When you omit the word "of" before the last word in the sentence in John 1:1 you do just that. To avoid being confused or deceived look at the other word in the sentence that says that he was WITH God in the beginning (again, God has no beginning so the beginning that is being talked about is when Jesus came into being thus creating "TIME"). And to keep the debate to a minimum it repeats that he was WITH God in John 1:2. This is why you see that IN Jesus Christ is "Eternal Life" in 1 John and that this Eternal Life was WITH God and came to earth.
Sometimes it is hard to address this issue because you also use the term "Son of God" for Jesus Christ; which is true. And if you look at his name it means Anointed Salvation from God. But then you want to make the church's doctrine of the Trinity an affirmation of your beliefs as well. You can't have a God that has always existed give birth to His son and then call the son God also. Jesus would have the DNA of God but he would not be the God whom he came from, would he?
Also look at the positions Jesus holds, Prince of Peace, Mediator between God and Man, our brother. In the future in his second coming he will be a King and after he turns his kingdom over to his Father he will become a Judge.
God incarnate is a man-made concept.
Jesus told his disciples that everything he said and did were not of his volition but were those of his Father who taught him what to say and do. If Jesus were God how could he learn, die, be tempted, etc?
Who is behind this lie of the Trinity? Who else but the Father of Lies. He caused physical death to enter into our lives thru the deception of Eve and now he is trying to cause death to our spirits/souls by having you follow a false god. The Bible (especially the NT) makes it very clear that Jesus is the son OF God and by definition a son cannot be God whom he comes FROM.
Notice that with the Trinity you have to add words like, "You must accept it on faith" or "God's ways are higher than our ways" or "We can't fully understand...."
Believe the Bible and don't add anything to it. It is enough. It is simple.
We are in the image of God; male and female. God is not like us but we are like Him.
Thus in your belief system where is the female essence of God? She probably doesn't exist, does She? However, in your system you have made the son of God to be God...ironic, no? You have a son but with no Mother and only a Father....how so?
re: davidbfun
Dear davidbfun,
Regarding your first paragraph, the author of Genesis used simple, common words of his time, and he borrowed many words from Canaanites. I think El or Elohi does NOT have any relation to the male and female idol worship of Canaanites. The author simply borrowed the word to represent God. This is the same in ancient Chinese texts that the word "sky" can mean sky, or natural law (Confucious), or a god that rewards good and punishes bad (Mozi). Words do not have fixed meaning but depend on the usage of the author. You can understand that word only from the whole passage. Some people (Jewish mysticism) thinks the name of God has secret meaning. This is nonsense. Elohim and even YHWH do NOT have secret meaning. You get very little information about God if you only know he is "I am who I am", just like you cannot know my personality by analyzing my name "David Chik" can you ? Therefore, instead of looking at Elohim and YHWH, maybe it is much better to look at what God did throughout the history.
Regarding trinity, in Gospel of John, Jesus was described as a "logo" and the same as God. My interpretation is, God is like Windows 7 DVD, and Jesus is Windows 7 being installed in PC...

trinity
hi,i read what stevehenry had to say on the, trinity and i read what michael had to say on the trinity.michael, maybe stevehenry has a point.when he says, jesus told the apostles to go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the son,and of the holy ghost:matthew 28:19.the apostles after receiving the holy ghost, went and baptized in the name of jesus.acts 2:38.i can see the point stevehenry is trying to make.so michael if stevehenry is so wrong, and lopsided in what he had to say, about the trinity.lets hear what you have to say on the same subject.there is always two sides to every story.i will be waiting to see what you post.its not enough to say he is lopsided or you have your doubts if he ever study church history.was the trinity preached by the apostles, did the apostles practice matthew 28:19 in water baptism,or did the apostles practice water baptism,in jesus name.i will be waiting to see, what you have to say,and also stevehenry.waiting to see.captain
What words did the apostles use in Baptism?
We never see the words written, "and then they went down to the river and lo, the apostle said unto him, 'I baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ'." If it says that people were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, it doesn't mean that they said those exact words, "I baptize you in the name of the Lord Jesus". We are to do all in the name of Jesus, including baptism.
Some want to say that you have to use the words "Lord Jesus Christ" and the want to say "Lord" is the name of the Father, Jesus is the name of the Son and "Christ" is the name of the Holy Spirit. Christ is NOT the name of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Christ, and anyone who denies that has an antichrist spirit. There is a lot of confusion out there. The true baptism is actually a commitment unto death in doing the will of God. It is not about words.
Michael- thank you / carnival mirror
Michael-
Thank you for this site. You have expressed Scripture clearly in this and other articles (though on some parts I would use a different style and expression. My understanding is that the Word of God seeks the best expression (possible) in human language- but human language is not divine in construction.
You would know about these things- from your computer science background- try explicating object orientated concepts to a person whose sole familiarity is with traditional basic or even 'c'; or reflection to someone using a compiled language (not JIT).
It is impossible to conduct serious dialog when the other party does not possess the gift of the Holy Spirit or is not led and directed by the Holy Spirit.- but you know this.
To summarize my witness is that the 1st issue is what Paul indicated in 1Co.2... that spiritual intent cannot be understood by the natural mind. For the natural mind perceives the text of Scripture and fails to discern further- producing unbelief.
But in in these cases we have a 2nd issue- a carnival mirror effect, where the mirror represents a lying spirit. This is in opposition to the mirror described by Paul in 1Co. 13 where the Spirit provides a partial but pristine view of Heavenly matters- "Scripture" - whatever.
I believe that there is more to be said on this topic.
Cheers, Peer.
Did the apostles practice Matthew 28:19?
If they wanted to obey Jesus, they did practice it. Jesus told them to do it.
"... baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit". The Father is not the Son, nor is the Son the Holy Spirit. I have made it clear on this site why this is so, and in my recent posts also. It is common sense. You can't read the gospels with an open mind and conclude that Jesus was teaching that He is the Father and the Holy Spirit.
There is this big hang up about "the words" to be used when baptizing someone. I have made my position clear enough on this site. Please do a search. Also, there are no prizes for using the word "Trinity". You don't have to call God a "Trinity", but if the words of Scripture have anything clear to say on the subject, Jesus is not the Holy Spirit, nor is He "the Father". How could Jesus say that you can speak a Word against the Son of Man and be forgiven, but not if you speak against the Holy Spirit? That's just one example of many I could give, proving that Jesus is not the Holy Spirit. I really don't want to waste my time on this subject. I have written plenty. If someone is determined to be deceived, they will be.
captain- some questions*
Captain-
When I saw your posting- under baptism, Stevehenry was placed firmly in my mind- what is your relation to Steve ?
Do you both fellowship together? For I detect the same spirit speaking through both of you.
I would like you to be open and announce your beliefs openly:
<> Do you believe that Jesus is Co-Equal with God- that is of the same substance as God?
<> Do you believe that the Father and Son are both equal in deity and separate OR
<> Do you believe that the Father and Son are the same person?
<> Finally what is your church affiliation or denomination or sect?
---------------------------------
The RC church is not relevant, nor the motivation for the Nicene Council, nor the determination received by the Nicene council on "co-substantiality" is likewise not relevant- what is relevant is what is established in Scripture.
Thanking you,
Peer.
trinity
greetings in jesus name.there are numerous doctrines taught by ministers of the gospel today, who do not have biblical proof for those creeds that they teach.for example, the trinitarian dogma.there was never any recognition of the trinity theory by the early church until a.d. 325.the roman emperor constantine called the council of nicea to settle the question.on how many persons were in the god head.in 675 at the eleventh council of toledo, the roman catholic church imposed the trinity dogma against a few remaining opponents, and it kept this philosophy down through the ages.the trinity doctrine had the support of the mighty catholic church, there still remained men through the centuries who insisted on studying the scriptures.though some did not have a clear concept of god, many rejected the man-made concept of the trinity.the trinity doctrine was born and developed during the same time,in which the catholic church came to influence and power.the trinity theory was actually cultivated in the development of the catholic church.one prominent catholic official stated that every person who had been baptized according to the trinitarian formula was in reality a catholic, because the trinity is a catholic doctrine and catholics teach baptism as the entrance into the roman catholic church.this is how matthew 28:19 came to be used in water baptism.after the lord had given the apostles the commission to baptize all nations in the name of the father, and of the son,and of the holy ghost, they went forth and baptized into one divine being whose name was jesus.how hear this, either jesus is the name of the father, and of the son,and of the holy ghost;or the apostles did not obey what jesus told them to do.the latter could not be true because hebrews 2:3 how shall we escape,if we neglect so great salvation;which at the first began to be spoken by the lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him.my dear friends, there is no were in the holy scriptures were any one was ever baptized into, the trinity doctrine.that is in the name of the father, and of the son,and of the holy ghost.the apostles in" the book of acts of the apostles"always baptized in the name of jesus.may the lord bless you,bro.stevehenry.
GEN 1:26
The grammar of Scripture has always indicated a triunity of God. "Let US create man in OUR image..." The Hebrew word (Elohim) is a masculine, plural noun. The NT does this by use of the definite article "the." The God (tou theos) being the Father. (Toi huios): the Son and (Ta pnuema): the Spirit. Not just any God, but THE GOD, (JEHOVAH) Not just any son, but The Son of God, Jesus Christ. Not just any spirit, but The Spirit or Holy Spirit. If we declare that there is no personhood of Father, Son and Spirit, then I would ask what constitutes a person? A person has their own will, feelings and emotions. Scripture clearly reveals that all separate members of the triune Godhead possess such qualities. Just because the word trinity is not written in Scripture does not mean it does not exist. The word baptism does not always mean water. The word church does not mean building. Best to look at the original languages and grammar to understand Christian doctrines.

Re: Trinity
Steve, It appears that in your zeal to argue against the trinity you are expecting people to just up and forsake their understanding of God because you say so. If there is any lack of clarity in scriptures, it is because the Lord would have us allow a diversity of opinion in the unimportant, that He might prove whether or not we are walking in what IS important. Namely, LOVE.
Consider this: We know in part, we see in part, we prophesy in part. Knowing that our knowledge of all things is incomplete, let us defer to one another in those things which are not clear in scripture. If Jesus desired all to believe the Godhead was completely embodied in Himself why did He not simply say so? Why would He speak of the Father and Holy Spirit in third person and other place language? What is important is that we know how to walk with Him in unity and love. We reflect the nature of God when we speak what we know to be true and allow others to see things differently - all the while respecting them and esteeming them greater than ourselves.
Apparently you are so set upon your own personal "rights' that you refuse to show any respect for Michael as the site administrator when he points out, "Also, please learn to use capital letters, especially when referring to GOD, as the small g version has a different meaning." Anyone with an ounce of humility would honor the host of the place they are visiting. You on the other hand take your host to task, insisting on how right you are. Should your views on capitalization prove correct, your lack of humility is unGodly. You have exalted your preferences over your brother's and have berated him, breaking the law of love.
I am not publishing any further posts from you that do not reflect the direction of the site administrator to eliminate confusion by capitalizing God in all His proper names. Is it that you are in fact reflecting the heart of a lowercase god?
tim
greetings in jesus name.i guess you dont have the guts to own up to the truth.mike had to get you to do his talking for him.this is my fifth post to this site you never post.you cannot prove your roman trinity with the bible you are afraid to debate the trinity.all the best ,stevehenry
Trinity is found in both old and new testament
Greetings in Christ to all.
Hi Steve. you say that there's no proof of the trinity in the bible. Now I'll will quote an old testament prophet. This passage shows that there is 2 person of the 1 God. This two person is the Father and the Son (Jesus in new testament).
Zechariah 2:7-11 (New International Version)
7 "Come, O Zion! Escape, you who live in the Daughter of Babylon!" 8 For this is what the LORD Almighty says: "After he has honored me and has sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye- 9 I will surely raise my hand against them so that their slaves will plunder them. [a] Then you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me.
10 "Shout and be glad, O Daughter of Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you," declares the LORD. 11 "Many nations will be joined with the LORD in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you.
In this passage the Son is the one speaking and He is Yahweh. But it is also clear that Yahweh has sent Him. Yahweh sends Yahweh. One Yahweh but two person. How do I know that the Son is one speaking? Because the Son is the one being sent and not the Father. If you want me to show you the 3rd person of the trinity which is the Holy Spirit then ask me.
Thank you.
Stevehenry- RC church a decoy
Hi Steve,
I am sorry to see you responding in this way. Timothy asked you several times to register with the site & capitalize- what is put to me is that the reason is technical?
You write, "greetings in Jesus' Name & then write " I guess you don't have the guts to own up to the truth. Mike had to get you to do his talking for him."
The spirit behind this, is not the Holy Spirit. All your interactions have been on doctrines. You use every posting as an opportunity to slip in postings on doctrines.
Roman Catholic is a decoy
-----------------------------------------
However, Henry, the spirit which is behind your conversation has used the RC church as a decoy behind which you can propose and force conversation on doctrines which are heretical.
Your issue with Baptism in the Name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit was simply a guise to deny the Trinity- this is deception.
It would seem that your beliefs are similar from the Jehovah Witnesses- so I would like to ask you:
<> do you believe that Jesus is God in Nature?
<> do you believe that Jesus co-existed with God, the Father in eternity?
<> do you believe that the Father and Son are two different persons?
<> Do you believe that the Holy Spirit is a Person as the Father is a Person?
Thank you-
Peer.
Thank you for making your
Thank you for making your spirit known to all. You have falsely accused me as well as the site administrator. I am responsible for posting unpublished material and I do it in accordance with how the Lord would lead me. I believe he would have me honor those who are serving Him through this forum, and I believe He would have me honor Him by standing by the stated desire of the administrator to upper case the names of God to avoid confusion. You have ignored my suggestion to register with the site so your posts would post immediately without moderation. What more can I say? For your information, if you cared to read my posts you would see I do not support the doctrine of the trinity as Biblically confirmable, nor essential to salvation. Are we not on the same side with that?
PS - I am posting your last post openly and replying because I cannot do this privately since you have not registered.
re: unitarian doctrine ?
Good grief your statement the Church didn't recognise a Trinity until A.D. 325 totally ignores what Jesus Taught the Apostels and what the Apostles taught in what we now know as the New Testament.
I always say there is only one TRUE body of Christ, which the Bible calls the Church. Every other Institution that calls itself Church is man made Denomination. I personally do not recognise neither newly formed Christian Churches nor any established or traditional Denominations. Therefore I always TEST Church doctrine against God's Word.
Steve Henry, I don't know what in the world you are getting at in your post and I not up to responsind to it. However for others that might read it and get confused I'd like to sahre the following:-
Throughout the Bible we learn there is Father and Son and Holy Spirit that are all God and part of the same God. Not THREE Gods. Jesus is in the Father and the Father is in Christ, the Holy spirit is in Christ and in the Father as well. All are revered in the Bible as God.
We see the Spirit with God in the very begining.
God SPOKE and created the Universe and everything in it (including mankind). Jesus is called the WORD and at the beginning of the gospel of John we see here that Jesus is said to be there in the beginning.
From the very outset there was God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit, creating the Universe, the Earth and every living being.
Here is another observation. Who was seen coming down on Jesus like a dove when He was baptised in the Jordan? The Holy Spirit. We baptise in the Name of Jesus but the Holy Spirit is involved in Batpism as well. The Holy Spirit indwells us when we have been Saved. There are 2 baptisms, water and fire. The Holy Spirit is Fire. You cannot be baptised by Jesus alone but before God, in the name of the son and by the Fire or the Holy spirit. Pentecost.
So for those who are reading these posts. Know we have a God who is 3 yet only ONE. This is different from every other religion in the world. Only the Jewish/Christian God is 3 in One.
Oneness pentecostalism
Hi Steve,
Its not the first time I have encountered Oneness Pentecostal doctrines and I suppose it will not be the last.
I believe there is actually a religious spirit that binds people from seeing that God is three in one. That is to say, I could show very clearly that Jesus did not refer to the Father as being Himself, or the Holy Spirit as being the same as Himself and you still would not believe it. Listen, Jesus said, "The Father is greater than I." He said, "The Father in me does the works". Concerning the Holy Spirit, Jesus said that he was "Another Counsellor".
Jesus did not pray to Himself on the cross, and neither did God cease to exist. God was still upholding the Universe even when Jesus died.
God is all about RELATIONSHIP, LOVE and love requires the interaction of personalities. God existed eternally as LOVE, not for infinite ages as a solitary Oneness that had no one to talk to. These are some reasons why you are SEVERELY MISTAKEN concerning the nature of God.
In addition to this, your church history is very lopsided. I doubt if you have ever read any of the writings of the early Christians after the apostles. If you have, what did you discover that they believed?
Its not enough to say that Roman Catholics believe X, therefore X is wrong.
And just repeating things over and over again does not make them true.
Also, please learn to use capital letters, especially when referring to GOD, as the small g version has a different meaning.
Trinity is made man. No where
Trinity is made man. No where in the bible is the word, or concept shown, shared, or discussed. People have jumped to their own conclusions. People have made their own interpetations.
If the trinity were true, it should be clearly and consistently presented in the Bible. Why? Because, as the apostles affirmed, the Bible is GOD's revelation of himself to mankind. And since we need to know GOD to worship him acceptably, the Bible should be clear in telling us just who he is.
To quote the -New Catholic Encyclopedia:
"The word Trinity is not found in the Bible... It did not find a place formally in the theology of the church till the 4th century. And a Catholic authority says that the Trinity "is not... directly and immediately the word of God."
The Bible teaching that GOD is one is called monotheism. This is the purest form does not allow for a Trinity: The Old Testamnet is strictly monotheistic. GOD is a single personal being. The idea that a trinity is to be found there... is utterly without foundation.
Monotheism didn't change after Jesus came to the earth. There is no break between OT, and NT. The monotheistic tradition is continued. Jesus was a Jew, trained by Jewish parents in the OT scriptures. His teaching was Jewish to the core, a new gospel indeed, but not a new theology... And he accepted as his own belief the great test of Jewish monotheism. Paul did not indicated any chage in the nature of GOD either, even after Jesus came. He wrote: "GOD is only one." - Galatians 3:20 also see Corinthians I 8:4-6
Another bold point is Satan tempted Jesus. He tried to tempt him away from GOD. He wanted Jesus to show worship to him and would make him the king of all the lands.... This shows even the enemy knew that Jesus was seperate. If Jesus was GOD then why would the devil try and make him turn on himself.
Don't be fooled. This is one of those man made arguements that both sides have plenty of their own interpetations of what scripture means.
GOD is not a GOD of confusion. Establish a relationship with GOD and this essense, his spirit (Holy Spirit) will touch you.
GOD is real, Jesus is real, and the Holy Spirit is real.
The Holy Spirit is never even given a human form. It is the essense of GOD. It is the living force behind his will.
I'm a Christian (aka little christ). I don't believe in religion, and I don't believe in all the mobo jumbo man has made with the knowledge they do hold.
If you want some facts and scripture based teachings, then read yourself and come up with your own conclusions. I let know one tell me what to believe.
And if you never heard of the word trinity or of 3-1 if you read the bible from front to back you wouldn't in any way shape or form think of this logic.
Never did Jesus call himself GOD, he always called himself the son of GOD, son of man, etc, etc. Even he prayed to his father in prayers not to himself.
Just believe in Jesus's teachings and believe and you'll have the spirit speak within you.
Amen

Trinity is made man. No where
Submitted by DerrickW (not verified) on Sat, 07/18/2009 - 20:43.
The following is from the second paragraph of your POST
("If the trinity were true, it should be clearly and consistently presented in the Bible. Why? Because, as the apostles affirmed, the Bible is GOD's ")
Then I found this on the Net, the similarity to your statement is amazing.
Are you a - - - Jehovah's Witness ? ? ?
("IF THE Trinity were true, it should be clearly and consistently presented in the Bible. Why? Because, as the apostles affirmed, the Bible is God's ...")
Is the Trinity Clearly a Bible Teaching? - Jehovah's Witnesses ...
www.jehovantodistajat.fi/e/ti/article_03.htm - Cached - Similar
Then you say this in about your eleventh paragraph:
("If you want some facts and scripture based teachings, then read yourself and come up with your own conclusions. I let know one tell me what to believe.")
It is abundantly clear from your above statements, you have clearly let some one tell you what to believe!
From your paragraph twelve:
("Never did Jesus call himself GOD, he always called himself the son of GOD, son of man, etc, etc.")
SOLEY FOR YOUR, and STEVE HENERY'S' EDIFICATION :
From The Bible
John 14:9,11
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
Just on the off chance you can't understand what Jesus was saying to Philip,
He said, vs. 9 He was GOD, vs.10 The Holy Spirit dwells, in Him doing the works,
and last but not least, vs.11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me
Or to put it more simply - - - 3 in 1 = TRINITY :>)

Can you help me out? What
Can you help me out?
What is the difference between the nature and charator of god?
If there is difference between the two, can you give me some of the best know of the two?
Thanks,

The nature of "God"
God is unique. The Bible describes Him in Greek as monogenesis, i.e., "one of a kind", "having a unique nature."
ETERNALNESS He always has existed and always will exist. He had no beginning and will never cease to exist.
OMNISCIENCE He knows all things.
OMNIPOTENCE He is all powerful.
OMNIPRESENCE He is everywhere at the same time.
SELF-EXISTENT God is the only thing that had no beginning, that was not created by something else.
HOLINESS Holy means pure, undefiled.
TRIUNE NATURE The one God is a single "trinity" consisting of three distinct "persons":
Don't get hung up on the "how can one be three?" issue!
But, according to me, or according to the Spiritual Philosophy, those above statements are Spiritual Analogies!
An analogy is "reasoning or explaining from parallel cases."
Put another way, an analogy is a comparison between two different things(Spiritual and Physical) in order to highlight some point of similarity.
As a result, I would say that,
there is only ONE 'God' with ONE nature and without any character at all!

you said, the mark of a false cult,is that they deny the trinity.the trinity is the heart and soul of the roman catholic church.the creed of saint athanasius commonly so called.#3 of this creed says, now the catholic faith is this, that we worship one god in trinity, and the trinity in unity.#42this is the catholis faith, which except a man do faithfully and stedfastly believe,he cannot be saved.the doctrine of the trinity,is a mystery,on one can understand.this doctrine of the trinity was never preached in the early church.the acts of the apostles, the only history of the early church, did not teach a trinity.they is no other name given among men were by we must be saved, other then the lord jesus christ.the catholic church or any church cannot save your soul, the trinity cannot save you, only the lord jesus christ, can forgive sins and save you.colossians 2:8 beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after christ.feel free to comment on what i just said.by the way the early church in the book of acts of the apostles, was no cult.thanks steve
SteveHenry- some questions?
Hi SteveHenry,
i would like to ask a few questions to clarify various statements you have made. This is not to trip you up or to enter into a debate, simply to determine what you truly believe.
If you do respond, please answer each separately- consider carefully my quesitons:
<> Trinity- a Roman Catholic Doctrine.
---------------------------------------------------
Do you understand by this that God is a single Person, Jesus, that the Persons, The Father and Holy Spirit do not exist as separate persons?
<> The Authoritative Name in which we are Baptized
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Here I understand that you believe that a person must be baptized in the Name (or into) the Name of Jesus alone- that to be baptized into the Name of the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is illegitimate or ineffective (or anathema!).
Do me the favor of thinking through your answers prayerfully. Remember Steve- that Satan is active in deceiving many organizations and persons- the Roman Catholic Church is not the first grouping to be deceived, nor the last.
If we are true to Jesus and that you seek to be (this goes for myself and all), we need to always open ourselves to the possibility that a notion that we hold dearly, might not be what Scripture teaches.
The only way we can know is to listen very carefully to what others present and consider carefully those Scriptures posited as support. Michael makes a sound point, the Roman Catholic church has many doctrines and practices that don't accord with Scripture. Yet they have others which are true.
They assert that Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God; this is indeed true.
They assert that Jesus was crucified as a sacrifice for the sins of the world; this indeed is true.
Yet there are many practices they hold which are untrue.
Requirement to confess sins to the office of priest- this is false.
Requirement of infant baptism (christening)- this is false,
And so on and so forth.
*************************************
In answering these things- leave out the Roman Catholic Church- it is not relevant to my background - I am interested in assisting you or you assisting me; to come to an3 understanding where you can share and celebrate a wholesome Gospel with others.
If you wish to write to me directly let me know.
Peer.
