Here is a video showing some of the bizarre things that can happen when "strange fire" is allowed to predominate in a service.
As I read the Scriptures, the fruit of the Spirit of SELF-CONTROL, not being out of control. See Galatians 5:22,23. Its a shame when the presence of something spiritual is more valued than the actual fruit of the Holy Spirit such as self-control.
It is to be hoped that Christians still believe the Scriptures are a more reliable guide to truth and discernment than the pronouncements of those at the top of ecclesiastical hierarchies.
We are living in very dangerous times. Personally, I would be very wary of spirituality and "anointed people" whose message relates little to the cross of Christ, or to repentance from dead works. I don't trust any "anointing" that comes on people regardless of their heart condition before God, especially if it doesn't lead to repentance.

WE HAVE TO BE SECURE ONLY IN HIS NAME....
This video was very sad to me due to the fact that these people are not strong in the Lord. No matter where you a or what church you visit, if your heart believes in him, there is no way demons will posses you. These times are dangerous, we have to be complete in the LORD JESUS. Both Our feet have to be completly in, not just one. We have to make a chocie, either serve the Beautiful Lord or Nasty satan.
The gift of Holy Spirit
The fruit of Holy Spirit is Holy indeed. It gives self control, self realisation, repentance, strengthens your emotional weaknesses. Infact it gives a sense of completeness, a sense of peaceful spiritual and physical bliss, oneness in God, you feel you were lost and now you are found. Whatever that does not take you to the light of God is unholy, just like this video. Today the world is spiritually lost. But deep within us there is a desire to know and feel the power of what is supernatural and what is Holy. In our desire to quench this thirst of our soul, we sometimes unfortunately get strapped in the claws of evil. Since Satan knows our weakness he tries to cover our mind with supernatural, yet unholy thing. He binds us with the strings of guilt, making us feel that we are unworthy to receive forgiveness from God, he punishes us and tries to make more distance between; we and our Master Creator.
False Churches
That was scary. it sounded as if the people were in hell. Then the guy on the microphone kept saying fire. Like the fire you would find in hell. i obviously know those people were not engulfed by the holy spirit. Either nthey were just acting plain stupid and fooling thereselves or maybe they were slowly being pocessed by demons. Maybe the demons were taking there control away. That is crazy.
Re: Fruit of the Spirit?
Okay, I'd like to know where you found a Charismatic service that got everyone screaming and crying and shaking and thrashing about and doing weird things. I have been to the Assembly of God before and never witnessed anything like that.
The man speaking may have been misguided and I'm surprised that he let something like that continue. I didn't see any praise or worship there. I don't know if it could do permanent emotional damage, but it would probably affect their spiritual walk and their relationship with Christ.
I think I would call the cops if I was in the middle of an hysterical event like this....it's not worship, it's running amuk.
Where to find weirdness
It seems to go in and out of fashion in certain churches. There are many churches where thankfully it is not tolerated or encouraged. Assemblies of God churches are normally a bit more resistant to these kinds of errors than non-denominational charismatic churches - but that is NOT a rule. Anything can happen now in this age where church people are chasing spiritual thrills, but not seeking God's will as expressed in the Bible.
That is horrible. It gave me
That is horrible. It gave me shivers just watching it.
It is very unfortunate that the revival so longed for by many charismatics has ended in a conterfeit Holy Spirit visitation like that displayed in the clip.
The recent blog posts are a word in season.
God bless,
Pete
