I have found something in the public domain so inspiring that I have posted it on this blog. As a young man from a wealthy family in the Punjab, Sadhu Sundar Singh was desperate for peace - something he could not find through his own prayers and devotions through following the teachings in his own Sikh holy book, The Granth, or in the Hindu vedas or even in the Qu'ran - though he knew much of these by heart. He hated and despised Christianity and even burned a Bible at school, considering it a religion of foreigners. He was most unhappy because the true knowledge of God eluded him. read more »

The Good Shepherd Rescued His Lost Lamb

“How many times do you have to touch rock bottom before you drown? Either pull me up or put me out.” This used to be a saying of mine as I was all too familiar with rock bottom. Calls Out to God and Pulls the Trigger - A Lady sees Hell and Returns to Tell

This is a rather remarkable story. A lady is desperate and hopeless and calls out to God before shooting herself in the chest. She miraculously survives, but only after experiencing for a short time the horrors of hell and the rescuing hand of Jesus.

Anders got a second chance

Anders got a second chance.

When Anders Myrli from Sweden/Gävle grew up, his father was on constant flight from the police. Anders went into deep depression and after awhile dropped out of upper secondary school. Then alcohol became his best friend and finally he was stuck in an addiction. During an attempt of burglary he realized that his life was a failure and therefore he decided to end it.

When Anders Myrli was in upper secondary school he went into deep depression. He dropped out of school, left his congregation and started to drink huge amounts of alcohol. read more »

Freed from Insanity

I was an atheist, brought up in a "haunted house" filled with fear. I was reared with an alcoholic mother, a very distant angry father, and an alcoholic grandfather. A blind grandmother and a neurotic great aunt aided in rounding out this dysfunctional family along with a twin sister and other siblings at least 12 years our senior.
