Service - Section II

1. Love is the touchstone by which the reality of truth is perceived, and by it shall all men know that ye are My disciples (John xiii.35). I also make use of the sword of justice, so that at first sight some are inclined to think that, like Solomon, I intend to finish My work without mercy (1 Kings iii.16-28), but My object, like his, is to apply the touchstone of love which will bring out the truth, and show that you are the children of that God of Love who gave His life to save yours. read more »

Sin and Salvation - Section II

The Disciple,—Master, in these days some learned men and their followers regard Thy atonement and the redemption by blood as meaningless and futile, and say that Christ was only a great teacher and example for our spiritual life, and that salvation and eternal happiness depend on our own efforts and good deeds.

The Master,—1. Never forget that spiritual and religious ideas are connected less with the head than with the heart, which is the temple of God, and when the heart is filled with the presence of God the head also is enlightened. read more »

Marilena Fackerell - transformed by the Love of God

Marilena - Transformed By God's Love
TRANSFORMED BY EXPERIENCING GOD'S AMAZING LOVE

- Marilena Fackerell

I was born in Bucharest, Romania. I had a normal childhood, until I was 7 and a half years old, when my mother got sick with cancer. I have been told that she did an abortion and that's how she got sick. It was illegal to have an abortion under the communist regime, which I think it was good. read more »

Confessions on Faith

I have the faith of God. Mk 11.22

I am a believer in Jesus Christ. Whoever believes in Jesus Christ shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Out of my belly shall flow rivers of living water. The works that Christ did I shall do also, and greater works shall I do, because Christ has gone to the Father. (John 3:16; John 7:37; John 14:12)

I do not doubt in my heart, but believe that those things I say will come to pass, and I will have whatever I say. Mk 11.23

Whatever things I ask when I pray, I believe that I receive them, and I will have them. read more »

Confessions on Joy and Rejoicing

Jesus told me to abide in Him so that His joy may be in me and that my joy may be full. Jn 15.11

My sorrow will be turned into joy. Jn 16.20

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Ps 30.5

My heart will rejoice, and my joy no one will take from me. Jn 16.22

I ask and I shall receive, that my joy may be full. Jn 16.24

For Yah, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation. Therefore with joy I will draw water from the wells of salvation. The joy of the Lord is my strength. Therefore God is my joy and my strength. read more »

Weapons of Our Warfare

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought
into captivity to the obedience of Christ". (2 Corinthians 10:4,5)

The apostle Paul here states that we are engaged in a warfare, and that we have weapons with which we must fight. As Paul states in Ephesians 6:12, our fight is not with flesh and blood, with people, but with the host of demons that work to defile, destroy, harrass, tempt and enslave mankind. read more »

My Deliverance Experience - Brandi Winemiller

Before Deliverance

For most of my life I have been very confused and did not know who I was, what I was and where I belonged. I was so hopeless to the point of suicide at times even after becoming a Christian. I always thought every one disliked me, was out to get me or didn't care about me. read more »

The Lord's Supper

WE BELIEVE the Lord's Supper, consisting of the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4); a memorial of His sufferings and death (1 Cor 11:26); and a prophecy of His second coming (1 Cor 11:26), and is enjoined upon all believers "until He comes". Luke 22:15-20; Matt 26:26-28; Acts 20:7.

Introduction

As we saw in our last lesson, an ordinance is the outward sign of an inward work. We believe Jesus only established two ordinances for us to observe. read more »
