Praying the Word

Pray without ceasing. (1 Thes. 5:17)

My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ears to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. (Pr. 4:20-22)

Lord, by your grace I will pray the Word as much as I can, so that while never ceasing to pray, I will keep my eyes on your Word for all the situations that confront me and all you want to say to me.

Prayers to Abide in Christ

Lord Jesus, you told us to abide in You, and You in us. Otherwise we cannot bear fruit. Apart from you we can do nothing. We thank You that you will abide in us, as we obey your command to love one another.  We thank You that through You we will bear much fruit. (John 15:4,5)

Lord, we pray for all those not abiding in You. We pray that they will repent, and not be thrown away as worthless branches. We pray that those in the church will never dry up. We pray they will never be cast into the fire and burned (John 15:6). read more »
