How Do I Know if I am growing in God?

How do I know that I am growing in God?
- Notes on a sermon by Rev. Paul Thangiah
- Jan 21, 2007

How do I know that I am growing in God?

Is it Bible reading, prayer, fasting? No.

One thing: it takes time to learn to tune into the voice of God.

Ask yourself:

Are you more aware of God and sensitive to God than you were at any time before?

2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ

Bible encourages us to grow in God.

1. Are you more thirsty for God?
2. Are you more and more loving?

On Christian Contemporary Music and Christian Rock

"The disciple is not above His Lord. If we want the joy of Christ, we must do what Christ did. For Him, satisfaction was not the result of finding some Christian pleasure to compete with the world's pleasure. It was not a question of being entertained by church performances instead of secular performances. Christ does not compete by promising a religious equivalent of what the world offers, pleasure for pleasure. It is completely different. El ayuno - clave para el poder

Se ha dicho con razón que la oración no es la preparación para la batalla - La oración es la batalla. Y de todas las cosas que podemos hacer para aumentar el poder y la orientación de la oración, el ayuno es sin duda el más potente.

Divine Healing - John Iuliano

In accordance with the teachings of the Scriptures, we trust our heavenly Father to protect and heal our bodies from sickness and disease. WE BELIEVE that divine healing for the body, as with all redemptive blessings of God, has been provided for us by the atoning death and victorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ; it is the privilege of all believers and it is appropriated by faith in our heavenly Father's unfailing promises Exod 15:26; Isa 53:4; Matt 8:16,17; 1 Pet 2:24; Psa 103:3; James 5:14,15; Mark 16:17,18.

Anointed People do not have a free pass to SIN

An interesting article has just come out from Lee Grady called "Say Goodbye to the Untouchable Preachers". This article is basically an appeal for "charismatic" Christians, or those believing in the present day operation of the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit, to WAKE UP concerning certain high profile ministers who apart from whatever legitimate gifts they have also been doing the wrong thing. read more »

Confessions for Personal Health and Healing

He Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses. Jesus took my infirmities, and bore my sicknesses. (Matthew 8:17)

By the blows that cut into Him I was healed. (1 Peter 2:24)

Surely He has borne my griefs and sickness, and carried my sorrows and pains. He was wounded for my transgressions, He was bruised for my iniquities, the chastisement for my well-being and peace was upon Him, and by the blows that cut into Him, I am healed! (Isaiah 53:4,5).  read more »
