Spiritual Warfare Praying

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against
spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12)

Real Christians are involved in a spiritual conflict. This is a fight in which guns and tanks are of no use. Paul said, "we do not wrestle against flesh and blood". The conflict is not with people, or nations, but with Satan and his demons. We need to recognise that many times when people oppose us, the reason behind it is spiritual. read more »

Viral Prayer Network

Back in July 2009, the LORD God has put it on my heart to invite people on www.christian-faith.com to participate in a “viral prayer network”. The vision was to get small groups of 3-4 people to PRAY together online for themselves and their ministries and various prayer causes. Everyone will be encouraged to participate in TWO such groups three times a week each for a minimum of 15 minutes each. The second group will be a group that person will eventually start themselves. read more »

TRANSFORMED BY EXPERIENCING GOD'S AMAZING LOVE

I was born in Bucharest, Romania. I had a normal childhood, until I was 7 and a half years old, when my mother got sick with cancer. I have been told that she did an abortion and that's how she got sick. It was illegal to have an abortion under the communist regime, which I think it was good. read more »

How Do I Know if I am growing in God?

How do I know that I am growing in God?
- Notes on a sermon by Rev. Paul Thangiah
- Jan 21, 2007

How do I know that I am growing in God?

Is it Bible reading, prayer, fasting? No.

One thing: it takes time to learn to tune into the voice of God.

Ask yourself:

Are you more aware of God and sensitive to God than you were at any time before?

2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ

Bible encourages us to grow in God.

1. Are you more thirsty for God?
2. Are you more and more loving?

Spirit of Infirmity comes out

On Friday, the Lord delivered me from a demonic spirit (I believe it was a spirit of infirmity) during a prayer meeting. The day before the prayer meeting, I told him I was tired of being oppressed by the devil and that I wanted to be well. Then on Friday after dinner, before the prayer meeting, He gave me a dream/vision of one of the ladies at our prayer meeting praying deliverance for me. So I called her and asked her if they could pray for me after praise and worship. It had started manifesting when she was prophesying, but then kind of got "stuck" I cant think of a better word than that. read more »

Basic Witnessing

INTRODUCTION

These days, its not hard to find plenty of things to do. Even as Christians, we may find ourselves under constant pressure to do so many things. Bills to pay, business to do and family commitments all take time. The worries of life may be crowding into our minds.

Meanwhile, the emphasis of the church is normally upon attending more meetings. Church services, prayer meetings, conventions, choir practice, youth nights, board meetings - the list goes on and on. read more »
