Abundance

Means having a lot of something. Our God is a God of abundance. He wants us to have an abundant life. Spiritual abundance is the will of God. It needs to be stated though that God rarely leads people directly into material abundance, but rather through seasons of testing and refinement in order to prepare us to handle such abundance correctly.

The Grace of God

This study seeks to present a Biblical teaching of how we can keep on receiving God's grace, life and power in our lives, so that we can be what we ought to be as Christians, both in the church and in the world. We will examine the subject of what God's grace is, and how it can be received and applied in our lives. This will help us to avoid the cycle of failure, resolutions, repeated failure, frustration and condemnation which is a common problem amongst those wishing to please God.

The Wilderness Experience

After a person truly turns to Christ and receives the assurance of God's forgiveness for their past sins, there is usually a short period of joy and blessing where everything seems so wonderful and new! During this period answers to prayer come easily, and God seems to give lots of favor. This may be compared to the joy that the Israelites had in leaving Egypt to head for the Promised Land. read more »

Who Am I In Christ

I am a child of God now. (1 John 3:2)

Christ lives in me. (Galatians 2:20)

I am in Christ, a new creation. Old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
(2 Corinthians 5:17)

My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in me, whom I have from God.
(1 Corinthians 6:19)

Christ is my life. (Colossians 3:4)

I have been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever.
(1 Peter 1:23)

I reckon myself to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Jesus Christ my Lord.
(Romans 6:11) read more »

Prayers to Speak Prophetically

PRAYERS TO SPEAK GOD'S WORD PROPHETICALLY

Father, I pray that when I speak, I speak truly as the very words of God. (1 Peter 4:11)

Father, this is your covenant with me as I turn from sin: Your Spirit, who is upon me, and Your words which you have put in my mouth, shall not depart from my mouth, nor from the mouth of my descendants ... from this time forth and forevermore. (Is. 59:21)

Father, I pray that I not speak my own words. (Is. 58:13) read more »

The power in your words

Words – the Key to a Better Life

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit" (Proverbs 18:21)

Is there really power in your words?

According to the Scriptures, the tongue has a power. Notice it says here, "the power of the tongue". Its obvious that the power referred to here is not the physical power of the tongue as a muscle, but the power of the words it produces. I've never heard of the word "tongue" used in relation to God Himself. Its a word used of human speech. So we can see that the Word of God is saying that our speech is tremendously important, powerful and significant. So much so that our words are a matter of life and death. Perhaps this is why Jesus declared, "But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment." (Matthew 12:36). "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." (Matthew 12:37). These declarations of Jesus Christ should cause us to sit up and take notice, and consider very carefully what kind of words are coming out of our mouths and why. read more »

Finding God's Will

Unless we practice the Lordship of Christ in all the areas of our lives, it is difficult to find the will of God in our lives and for our lives.

Man’s greatest honour and privilege is to do the will of God. This was what the Lord Jesus taught his disciples. He once said, that only those who did his Father’s will, would enter the Kingdom of Heaven (Matt. 7:21).

He also said that true brothers and sisters were those who do the will of God (Matt. 12:50).
