It is not Desirable (for Some) to Leave the Word of God and Serve Tables

Something struck me as I was reading the Scriptures today. In Acts 6:2-4 it says:

Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, "It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables.
Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business;
but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word."  read more »

Are you not Evangelizing because you are "not called"?

We often have judgements against us that halt our prayers for ourselves therefore we need God’s mercy. Without mercy our prayers are hindered. We often mistake opposition as coming from spiritual warfare but many times it is coming from God himself and we are reaping what we have sown. This opposition is the judgement of God. Maturity

As we mature we learn to accept change. We become more flexible and find creative solutions to old problems. At least that has been my experience. I want to be able to say that I accepted new challenges and whether I won or lost, I enjoyed or at least learnt from the process.  read more »
