Heavenly Father, according to your promises I pray these prayers in the Name and the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ:

I just finished with my boyfriend and i felt as though he was the one. He moved to Canada in May from Ireland and I missed him so much. We finished at the end of May start of June and since May all i did every day was cry. I can't get over him at all I haven't even been talking to him and every day I think about him for the whole day. I have been praying hard but im feeling as though its too late and I also feel praying isn't working. I need more confidence in prayer. Prayer for the baptism of the Holy Spirit
Please pray that I, together with other men receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit with fire, during our men’s encounter this weekend (Sep. 11-13) in Lake Wales, Florida. Personally, I have come to a point in my Christian walk with the Lord were bible reading, prayer and church is not enough.
I am hungry for Gods glory. I need more of heaven in my life. I am believing for some of God’s power, boldness, wisdom, and glory in us; that we may receive the best of all the spiritual gifts for the glory of the Lord. That a mighty revival starts with us and that we may impact our families and all those around us.

I have been pursued by a cult/group for the last 5 yrs.They have been trying to control my mind and body processes.They close all my avenues in order to make sure everything I receive comes from them.Whenever I do anything by my own mind system they cant be able to control me and I believe its because of rejecting them(satanism)They don't seem to give up.They started with controlling life through my friends.
1.give some portions to my friends and manipulate my emotions ie make me look like crying while am ok,make me feel confused
2.Telling people that am mad so that they make me lonely or segregated but i have a big network of people i know and they actually know me for a long time. making it horrible for them.I once moved to a different city and they planned for people to attack me and take me to some place but i SCREAMED AND PEOPLE helped me out.Also police were involved after that they tried to use some spirits to hit my back at night and kill me but I am a prayerful person and they actually didn't manage.
3.use spirits to harass me at night and daytime also take food from my stomach so that when I eat i don't go to the toilet for days or feel hungry immediately.
4.They also send hooved objects to come and interfere with me at night..
5.Interfere with me at 2am before i wake up for prayers at 3am.
6.whenever i plan to travel impromptu they ensure either the vehicle is involved in an accident or get involved with police-(public means) so that I have to use their alternative without my knowledge.
7.I tried to get out of the country to Germany but they barred me from traveling while on transit via Egypt was forced to return without any explanation.The immigration couldn't allow me to leave and i had no interest in Cairo.
8.make people that help me bankrupt so that they cant help me-through making them spend all they have or cause sickness to their loved ones.
9.I could not even be able to meet people-whenever i plan a meeting even with my relatives they would ensure they get other issues to attend to also when i reach someones office they make sure 2minutes before i reach there the person moves out.
10.I don't know how to go about it but I trust that a God reigns and he is watching
11.At times they used to attack me at night and i WOULD FEEL like am dead but Christ/angel would come by and rescue me and I would feel tears after that and the grace of God overwhelmingly.
I don't value material things because even if I can get the entire world and loose my life then it doesn't make sense.God 1st then the rest will follow because he says that don't worry about what to eat tomorrow because he is the one who feeds even the birds of the air.

Like Tim, I also don't have personal experience in the area of cults but I will definitely be here to pray for you and talk with you (and I think I speak for many others here as well) if you ever need me. I know it helps tremendously to be able to share with fellow brothers and sisters when the rest of the world is against us.

Escaping a Cult

I cannot claim any expertise in how to leave such a spiritually closed cult. There are so many elements of your story I do not understand - having not been there. So I ask an element of grace if that which is offered is not what you are seeking.

sometimes i struggle with alot of fear, anxiety and worry. i get into a spiritual state of desperation... its really scary.....

Prayer For My Lonliness
i am in a foregin country persuing a PhD. I am very lonrely due to a broken relationship that was meant to end in marraige.
i do not understand God's plan in putting me trhough all this pain, anxiety and hurt. All i ask is an end to this lonliness and the strength to endure. please pray that my personal problems are resolved , because it is effecting my sleep, my diet and my health.

Please pray for my marriage. My fiance and i have been engaged for a year and we plan to wed in August this year. We live far away from each other and lately,we have been having serious quarrels over the past few months and this is threatening our plans. I once had a dream of an old lady trying to stop me from having my wedding, i believe that this is a spiritual attack, please pray that all the weapons that the enemy has forged against me may not prosper.May you please pray for me at times i act in a very rude way torward my fiance i shout at him over the phine and say mean things to him, may you please pray that i may be loving, caring and compassionate to him at all times. I know our marriage needs GOD and only HE can grant me success in this union. I will pray for your marriage at the end of this post. First let me encourage you that I too had a vile temper when I first got married. As I submitted myself to the Lord in every area of my life slowly God taught me to become a more self controlled wife. It took time but through prayer, God's Word each day and a wonderful husband who also was committed to Christ we have a strong marriage.
Here is some scripture that helped me grow out of my angry ways.
EPH 4:20 You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. 21 Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
EPH 4:25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26 "In your anger do not sin" : Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold. 28 He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.

Praying for my sister Faith and her desire to become a godly wife. May you help her to submit to you so that you may help her change whatever is the root cause of this behaviour. Marks on the forehead and selling one's soul
I have precious little spiritual knowledge on the subject of marks..but today, I picked up the local paper, and on the front page was a local story and photo. It was a photo of a woman at the local Presbyterian church being MARKED on the forehead with ashes with the sign of the cross by the minister. She had a big ol' smile on her face as if this being MARKED was the greatest thing since proverbial sliced bread.
Now, I don't know much about the rituals of the Babylonian church, but ostensibly this was for what they call "Ash Wednesday." Apparently they get marked with ashes...for all I know they eat and bathe in ashes...that's about how much I know about it. I guess this makes one more holy?????
But one thing I do know. If I attended ANY church, the thought of someone marking my forehead, pastor or NO pastor, would be the point where I would draw the line and walk out. You're just not DOING THAT to my temple. It just ain't happenin', folks.
Is my thinking right here, when I discern that this forehead marking, actually SEALS a soul as part of this Babylonian church system?? Or am I in error? Man, are they selling their souls to the devil, thinking it's wonderful just because the mark is in the form of a cross??? Somebody help me out here!
I would think at very LEAST, it would CONDITION one to accept a mark when the devil comes around with his 666.
Scary stuff, man.

Brother. What a mess we get ourselves into without the Lord. For years I had to deal with the masturbation problem. The Lord delivered me twice. It is shameful to confess these things, but this is where the healing begins. "confess your faults one to another that you may be healed."
Let me lead you in a prayer. I need you to speak it with your own tongue. I believe Rom 10:10-11 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Your heart believes pornography and masturbation are evil. Your heart believes Jesus can save you from it. This is why you posted here seeking prayer for release.
Now it is time for your tongue to be engaged. By God's Word the world was framed and all that is in it. This is not to be confused with saying we have creative power with our words. That is HERESY. God spoke and it was created. We can only speak into existance those things that God Himself has ordained previously. God has ordained that you be free, but we need to engage our mouths to proclaim that truth.
Pray with your mouth, quietly if you must, "Our Father in heaven, blessed is your name. You are holy and righteous and faithful and pure. You are all things good that I now seek to become. This is a huge problem as was pointed out. I think the fact that 'billions' have it should not blunt our consciences any in our desire or need to overcome it. Jubintraxx, Confession is an excellent first step.

PS - Women are increasingly getting into this. Often it takes the form of soap operas and 'love' novels. The Lord calls them to repentance as well so they can be free. Its a wonderful feeling to be free of ungodly passions.

I apologize for my exaggeration. I have no idea if there are millions or billions of men who struggle with porn and/or masturbation. I was just trying to let the fella know how big this is and there are many .... and I do mean many.
Look...this brought down Swaggart. According to my friend, who is a PhD Psychologist and Professor at Liberty University he says pornography has literally saturated the ministry field. Combine this with Lester Sumerall's comment to John Bevere that masturbation is the most common complaint he hears from other ministers (particularly young ones) and we see it is hitting our best and most strongest men.
Now..here's what gets me. Men who ask God to deliver them from sexual desires. Ain't gonna happen. Why? Because God put that in you. That's like asking God to deliver you from thirst and hunger. What we need to do is ask God to helps us control our sexual desires.
Me? I pray a lot in tongues a lot. This helps with the flesh as well as living a fasted lifestyle. The Bible mentions something about overeating triggering sexual appetite. I gotta go look that one up again.

What you said reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld where they tried to compete to see who could go the longest without doing it.
I pray and fast and spend enormous amounts of time on the mountain of God reading the word...but you gotta come down from the mountain sometime. None of us here are the Lord Jesus.
I can go two, maybe three weeks when I'm intensely involved with God. But there has to be a cleansing of the ducts SOMETIME. if it does not occur nocturnally, as they say it should, then what you gonna do??? Man, I start to turn blue in certain areas, figuratively speaking.
My take is that there IS a time and a season for everything under the sun. And that is scriptural. (Ecclesiastes 11.) The Bible also says all things in moderation. I feel that it's when something CONTROLS your life, (Hey it can even be coffee and doughnuts!), usurps your time with God, that it becomes sin. Also, if it causes physical harm to one's temple, of course, that is also sin.
But as you said, God does NOT normally remove the desire. Millions have pleaded for Him to do so, only to be sadly disappointed. Then we would be turned into eunuchs! And I for one have every intention of maintaining my God given gift of virility as long as I'm alive, with His Divine help.
But God does not remove the desire, and then men get on the guilt treadmill. They try and grit their teeth, and they fall on their face repeatedly, and they get back up and fall again, and the guilt and anguish self perpetuates. It's a vicious cycle. Guilt is not always the Holy Spirit. Many times, it's the devil and his stinkin' accusations. Mormons take frequent cold showers to keep themselves "pure.", poor blokes.
Another thing..I understand that if there is NOT a regular cleansing, it can contribute to prostrate cancer. Now that is certainly not God's will for us, either.
Paul the apostle frustrates me when he says "If a man can not contain himself, let him marry. Better to marry than to burn. "
Yeah, right Paul, it's really that simple. Makes it sound like going to the store to buy a soda pop. Just pull a girl off the street and say, I need to get married, C'mon honey, let's go. Maybe it was easy in your day, Paul, but these days you have to find a woman who is willing to do that, and that is much easier said than done.
Overcoming Lust
Doug, we are in a case of an argument coming against an experience. I have experienced deliverance from masturbation. The desire is not there for it. Praise the Lord! Am I the only one? I don't think so, but not many people jump up in church to proclaim that!!
What are the components that go into the sin cycle? I believe excusing ourselves as simply being a 'red-blooded guy' and thinking that we are hardwired for lust with no remedy will keep us from seeking true deliverance from lust.
You are the goal-keeper, sin is the soccer ball, and our lives are the goal posts. Sometimes we do not know we have been sinning for years until someone says, "did you know such and such is a sin?" Then we look at our lives and see the many sins that have gotten past us in that area. We seek God's help and He gives us discernment.
Now, we try to be vigilant, but we find ourselves continuing in that sin. We say something, or do something or dwell on something, and later that day, or right after it happens, we see we have sinned. We repent immediately so as not to give place to the devil, and pick ourselves up by the grace of God.
Next time, or over time, we may have a quicker reflex. We see the sin as it is passing the goal post, but still with no time to block it. We repent and seek further discernment.
We see the sin coming from further and further out as the Lord gives discernment as to what it looks like in its infancy. We learn to stop the basic thoughts that give place to the sin. There are thoughts built into lust that need to be identified as lies, before we can be free. Some of these lies are:
1) LIE: God made me a man and men just have this emmense drive. He knows how it is. TRUTH: God made me a man and made man to be a protector of creation, including women, our sisters. We CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens us. If Jesus says, "do not look upon a woman to lust after her," He has told us it is possible to not have lust flairing up whenever we see a pretty woman.
2) LIE: Lust is a physical problem. TRUTH: Lust is a spiritual problem. Cleanse the heart and align it with God's view of women and we won't be salivating like Pavlov's dogs at the sight of a pretty woman.
3) LIE: I will have to live with this suppressed desire all my life. TRUTH: God can remove the evil that is expressing its desire to commit adultery with a woman. It is not suppressed any longer because it is truly removed!
Why doesn't God remove the desire from men who continue to ask Him to? Well, there could be a number of reasons, not the least of which is if we are not taking our thoughts captive to the knowledge of Christ and casting down every vain imagination, if God removed the desire, and we kept our programmed thoughts and behaviors, we would open the door to being bound right away. We have to excercise ourselves and do our part and not blame God for our sin.
There are practical steps, too:
Will a beautiful woman catch my eye? For a moment, but I have learned to 'bounce' my focus either to her eyes and maintain close eye contact if we are speaking, or to at least keep my eyes focused only from the neck up. I do not let my eyes linger, or let my heart hunger as though she was mine to desire. I have no right to desire a woman other than my own beautiful wife.
Don't let your hands or anything even begin to get you worked up. If you stop if from starting, you have won. Thing is, it starts in the mind and if you don't stop the fantasy and replace it with reality, you will not have much will power to stop further progression.
Fantasy: It would be so good to be in bed with so and so. Reality: Many times people feel unclean before, during and especially after. The relationship goes from light and friendly to deep and secretive. Then you lose that person even as a friend.
Fantasy: We could do this and no one will ever know. Reality: There are two people who will know. Then you never know if the other person will one day spill the beans in a moment of guilt or as they repent and pursue healing and forgiveness. Fear is now a constant partner.
Fantasy: Its free. If we take the precautions there is nothing to worry about. Reality: Many babies and many diseases have begun with all the precautions.... The wages of sin is death.

Thank God and thank you for posting this, very good and clear and simple but powerful sharing, I feel like it is the killer to the sting of the sin, the sting - the "pull". I can say at least from my own experience and some friends' that masturbation and sexual lust in general is the problem that not just men are struggling with, though may be for women it may not seem applying to all women (unlike it may apply to all men as many of male brothers insisted that as a fact)
As women we are to watch out not causing men to stumble. But at the same time I would say men should be careful and protecting not causing women to stumble, too. Though for women I think it is more of the words and behaviours of a man that may cause their stumbling, not much on how the man looks physically.

Hien, You bring up a point I have not considered and have not heard before. Can you elaborate on "the words and behaviours of a man that may cause their stumbling"? As a brother, it is important that men know if there are subtle, as well as overt ways, we are causing our sisters to stumble.
Pure Life Ministries is a ministry I would highly recommend for people to get free from the grip of pornography, lust, masturbation. We had a speaker at our church this Saturday morning and he had a very 'no nonsense' approach to the need to overcome this. We need to shout it from the housetops that sexual purity is DEMANDED by God and we have no room to deceive ourselves otherwise.
These people have come out of the addictions themselves and can lead others on the path of wholeness, if you are serious. God is serious, how about us?

My response to your question may not necessarily a common rule, you guys can surely have a different point and I am open to listen, but to me it seems that the comments (even the good-willing ones) of men about a woman's physical beauty and the way their admiring eyes look at her face or figure (that she knows the admiration is for her physical beauty) are likely to trigger up the stumbling thoughts in her mind when she is not guarding. So I really appreciate Paul the apostle when he highlight ed the inner beauty of women. This has nothing to say that we don't appreciate the physical beauty, but we just put it in the right position in our value system. Surely it is different from the world's system, isn't it?
Regarding the sexual purity, I think we can go to a more "root" level other than something demanded by God (sounds like a duty, though actually it can be rightly so): It is the utmost beautiful and pleasant condition for us to stay in, which enable our wonderful relationship with God and with others, and the fullest development of our being according to our God's GOOD, PERFECT AND PLEASANT will. So it is some thing very desirable and pleasant to us, not boring or reluctant.
The same with the sexual desire, it is created for the good purpose in our life, by a loving and wise God. It is just the falleness and the evil that make the originally good things distorted and rotten, and the lies from the devil that deceive us. For example, I found myself keep looking for a perfect beautiful love, but before I did not know God so I kept looking for it from men and got dissapointed and concluded that there is no such love, and I gave up and sinned. But that longing in me is good and helpful for me, naturally would bring me to joy and delightfulness and purity, when it operates in my relationship with God. Similarly, the sexual desire created in God's intention is healthy and will make one's marriage relationship perfectly wonderful, but in the fallen condition, we may not find the right person to marry at our "due" time or find it hard to love the imperfect spouse all the time and have to work hard to subdue the rebellious sexual desire at best, or get all the wrong understanding and experience of sex at worse. So here while we are depending on God's grace to help us co-work with Him to restore the purity and beauty and health in us, the best way I think is to focus on God's personal love to us and the wonderful intimacy with Him in our daily life, then the wrong desires will be more naturally subdue or even totally forgotten under our utmost desire to know God's glory and the fullest joys in His presence.
One thing more, I believe from God's words, that the body of a woman is created for the foremost purpose to glorify God, not just for her relationship with her spouse. A good example is a woman dancing in her worship to God, or a physical beauty of a woman causing men to turn to God in their admiring to His work and nothing else further :-)
I really wish I could do ballet dance for Him one day - I have been aware for years even before the time I got to know God that I have a need to love, not just being loved, and physical expression is an important love language of mine; recently I realize ballet dance is a "right" language for me in worshiping God and I really need to "speak" up clearly, deeply and freely to Him that way. It seemed too late at first for me to think of learning ballet at my age of 35 now, but later on I was reminded nothing is impossible to God. I am praying about this. Hallelujah!!! :)

You need discipline and this is what's needed to stop masturbation. Man oh man...can you imagine what men in their 70's and 80's think of when they see all the easily obtainable sex videos right in the privacy of a computer. It's a new day bro. Back in the 80's there were maybe 10-15 really pretty female porn stars. Now there are what? Thousands and they are all beautiful women. Trust me. An onslaught of perversion has and is being thrown against you and it's hard not too look. All men look at women. I said all men. This is not the issue. The issue is what do you do when you look?
Me? Sometimes I say "Lord...you make beautiful women"...and walk....other times I take more drastic measures if I see porn or images in my mind from the past. I say to myself. These beautiful 20-30 year old women will be old someday. You won't lust for her then. She'll be a rotting corpse in hell if she doesn't change. She will not be allowed to use her beauty and body any way she chooses without God's wrath. Trust me. This issue goes almost all the way back to the garden. In my humble opinion, masturbation and pornography is the #1 issue today among men. I don't think so...I know so.
My mom, a PhD Psychologist told me she only has one question for God. I said "ma....just one"? "You only have one question"? She said "yes"....."I wanna know why He put such strong desire in sex. She claims the lack of control in our sexual appetites has and is doing enormous damage amongst ourselves. She outta know. She was raped at age 10 by my grandma's boyfriend.
