PLEASE PRAY!!!!!! (from Beloved)

Hi Everyone
I just received some bad news. My sister-in-law,Lisa was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.Due to unrelated neck pain,a spot was detected on her thyroid,further probing produced two more spots.A biopsy was performed and revealed they were malignant.
Ironically,she is a nurse in the oncology (cancer) unit in the hospital where she works.I don't know if working there and knowing all the realities of cancer will prove to be a good thing or not.
She has one son,who is 20.She has raised him alone since she was 18,and the father took off.I really admire her for that.She is a very compassionate person as well. Although she has attended church off and on, I really can't say whether or not she has truly been born again.
I pray this will draw her closer to the Healer.
Please lift her up in your prayers.I'm praying that the cancer will no longer even be there when she goes in for surgery!!!!
Thank-you in advance guys,I will be sure to update any praise reports,or further needs!

I've been praying for her

I've been praying for her healing and salvation. I hope she will feel God's Love and get saved and healed.

A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”

32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

God loves her and you, He doesn't want anyone to perish but came to destroy the works of the devil ( John 3:8 ), such as sickness.

38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

God loves you all and know He will get you through this.

Thank-you Andrew and others for praying! *UPDATE*

Thank-you so much! How awesome to know that there are believers potentially from around the world praying! It has been a real comfort to my mother-in-law. To update: Lisa had surgery,half of her thyroid was removed,and the other half biopsied. There was some sort of abnormality on the biopsy,But the doctors do not know what it is.They sent it out to John Hopkins(?) for further testing.The results came back,and praise the Lord ,they are benign!!(No cancer)
Again,Thank you all for praying,and I give praise to our Father!

Praise the LORD! Did she

Praise the LORD! Did she accept Jesus in her heart too?

Psalm 103

1 Praise the LORD, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the LORD, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

6 The LORD works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.

7 He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:
8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.
15 The life of mortals is like grass,
they flourish like a flower of the field;
16 the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
17 But from everlasting to everlasting
the LORD’s love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children’s children—
18 with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.

19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom rules over all.

20 Praise the LORD, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding,
who obey his word.
21 Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts,
you his servants who do his will.
22 Praise the LORD, all his works
everywhere in his dominion.

Praise the LORD, my soul.

One of my favorite Psalms

Thanks Andrew,
I mentioned to another member that I will gently probe into her standing with Jesus at the appropriate time.She does attend Church,but as to her having a genuine "born again experience",I do not really know. I will report that her brother,my brother-in-law,who I mentally labeled "least likely to get saved" Has in fact, recently accepted Jesus into his heart!!!! He reported to his mom that after he had done this, upon looking at his reflection in a bathroom mirror,that his face had "seemed to change".That his whole countenance seemed different!!!
Awesome! Another answered prayer! God is working on this family!
PRAISE THE LORD,MY SOUL,ALL MY INMOST BEING,PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!!!!!

Praise the LORD! Jesus

Praise the LORD!

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) God really changed him and made him a new creation Smile I'm happy for you and your family. Praise the LORD!

Beloved - I will lift her up

Beloved - I will lift her up in prayer tonight. While healing would be wonderful, her most pressing need is salvation. Are people witnessing to her?

Thank you, bornagainbytheblood

I really appreciate your prayers,for Lisa's healing and salvation.To answer your question about witnessing,yes, but I feel I should do more.It's hard when you see someone mostly at holidays and other family get-togethers. We only live like,25 minutes away from each other,but,life gets busy.There is always the talk of getting together more,then we don't. I am going to purpose to see her,and gently probe about where she stands with Jesus.So many people think they are believers,when,in reality they don't even really understand the gospel.I'm sure you understand how that is.
Again Thanks and God Bless You!
