People or God?
Does God make it somewhat difficult to hear and see him when he talks or shows himself to us?
Is it difficult because we are not trained to understand his ways of communicating?
Or is it Both?

Since mankind chose to know
Since mankind chose to know both good and evil, God has not tried to interfere with our preference. He requires that we seek him "diligently" and when He knows that we are that serious about what He has to say, then He will say it. If He just popped up randomly, we would not value Him, nor His wisdom and it would become commonplace and of no use to us - at least that is my opinion.
It is difficult because we have a carnal mind that is at war with God. A reading of Romans chapter 7 will help you understand this more clearly. Thanks for asking!
