O Jerusalem!

O Jerusalem! do you remember
The day when God has chosen you
To be the Crown of Promise Land
Kings reigned, empires established
The Temple of “I am” was built
Not once but twice it stood in Glory
You were dressed in purple linen
You were weighed with the gold of ophir
Milk and honey flowed in your land

O Jerusalem!, you were called the legacy of peace
Wholeness of Harmony was in your land
Your sisters envied your beauty
You were blessed from high
Bountifully you grew in pride
But your enemies besieged you,
Attacked, captured and recaptured you
Devastation and destruction overcome you
O How did the fruitful vine became barren?

O Jerusalem! You are the Holiest of land
For you are called the Heaven on Earth
Your land is where Messiah was glorified
From where the ray of Eternal Light shone
Every story begins from you
So it will end in your land
Your children look out for you
Though where ever they are in the world
But why are you always in conflicts
Why do you never cease to rest?

O Jerusalem! How desolate, had been your land?
How thirsty had been your soil?
But fear not, for your cries had been heard
Your Master will surely come
He will once again build
Your walls of Salvation
And you gates of Praise
His Majesty will sit in the throne
He will make your land worthy for His grace
Rejoice O Jerusalem,
For once again you will be crowned.
