Not forgiving can send you to hell

"And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.
"So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses." Matthew 18:34,35

Who is Jesus talking to? Answer: His disciples. Who are the torturers? They are demons. What is required by God? That in view of the great amount we have been forgiven by God, we must forgive all that hurt us and do injustice to us, especially our Christian brothers. What if we disobey and refuse to forgive? If we disobey, God will cancel our forgiveness with Him, hand us over to demons, where we will stay until we repent. But if we die in a state of bitterness, these demons will torment us forever until we are thrown into the Lake of Fire.

Please, remember. Forgiveness is not an optional extra for spiritual Christians. It is a vital element of our own spiritual survival. If you can't forgive others to please God, at least forgive others for your own sake. God won't bend the rules for you, and He won't bend them for me. Do not let anyone deceive you with empty words. The teachings of Jesus are the standards by which we will be judged.

This is such a central point of christianity!

I have learned from personal experience that if I am offended, and I hold a grudge and then become bitter that all kinds of evil imaginations in regard to this person who hurt me can take over for years. I was consumed with thoughts of envy and retaliation that started to eat at me and soon I realized my soul was in danger of Hell if I didn't repent and ask God to help heal my thoughts about this person. I believe that the longer we entertain evil thoughts the longer it sometimes takes to break these patterns of thought. I am happy to say that I have forgiven this person and what originally happened was so blown up in my mind that I feel I was almost insane from the lies that satan told me. It was very scary. I am thankful that the holy spirit convicted me on this or I do believe I would have gone to Hell in that state! Thank you for your website it is very good! I will share it with everyone I know!

Great entry

I could not agree more. I do not believe that today's churches are talking enough about forgiveness. If we do not forgive, we will not be forgiven. If you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, but are still harboring unforgiveness, you will be required to pay in full the dept you owe. Forgive anyone who has done you wrong, TODAY. tomorrow may be to late
