Lakeland Deception is Serious

Its sad to say folks, but nowadays many of the leaders in the charismatic movement can no longer be trusted. The love of money, influence, fame, power and zany spiritual experiences has, for many of them, overcome the love of truth, integrity - actually the love for the true God. Whether this expresses itself as endorsement for bizarre and unbiblical practices, support for America's imperial wars of destruction and mayhem, or enthusiasm for Roman Catholic spirituality - the truth is that we are going to have to choose between following Jesus and following these leaders.

The supernatural seduction that has been going on with Todd Bentley at Lakeland, Florida AND BEYOND has been powerful enough to deceive prominent big name third wave ministries like Peter Wagner, Rick Joyner, Che Ahn, John Arnott, Steve Hill (sadly), John Kilpatrick, Wes and Stacey Campbell and many others. However, its interesting and gratifying to note that many God-fearing children of God have seen through it.

I remain open to correction on the basis of the Word of God, but not on the basis of appeals to the so-called "apostolic authority" of people who have mutually recognised each other as apostles and prophets of God. As I have sought to point out, God warned us that in the last days people would DEPART FROM THE FAITH giving heed to seducing spirits. Folks, it is happening now. You better get to know God's Word and what the fruit of the Spirit really is if you are going to avoid the deception. Because Jesus promised that lying signs and wonders will happen in the Last Days to deceive even the elect, if that were possible. Once people depart from the truth - be it for money, fame or supernatural thrills, they open the door to deceiving spirits.

We are told in God's Word, "Beloved believe not every spirit, but test the spirits, to see if they are from God".

Is this tribal type dance of God? - I DOUBT IT!

Please pray and put God's armor on before you look at this video from Lakeland, showing the worship leader dancing as if in a demonic trance. If you are like me, you won't be able to bear watching the whole thing right through. Only watch it if God leads you. It sickens me.

This is the kind of thing that has been accepted in today's lukewarm, apostate, carnal "prophetic" movement as being a form of "spiritual warfare". The incessant hypnotic drumbeat, the glazed look in the eyes and the party atmosphere are all signs that this HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR HOLY GOD.

James 3:18 "And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace."

There is no peace in this noise. It is a restless, sensual spirit bringing agitation.

I say these things with absolutely no fear that I am blaspheming the Holy Spirit. In fact, since I have started to come against these abominations, I have sensed the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit more than before. I have seen miraculous answers to prayer in the last day, even someone was reported healed. I've had a great desire to pray with the people from our church, and we've been doing that together.

We are not against the operation of spiritual gifts, but we are told to "believe not every spirit". That is not the same as "believe in nothing if it is spiritual". But in these deceptive days, we must be willing to test the spirits.

Modern pentecostal culture has encouraged the hero-worship of "anointed men of God", who are not to be questioned in church life. Some of these men will curse those who oppose them and their deceptions, in plain contradiction to the Word of God, and they quote Scriptures out of context like "Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm".
