Quoted for emphasis! The entire article was excellent, but this sentence jumped at me. So many Christians that I went to church with caused me to stumble because of this. Because I was already questioning God, reaching out for help, and falling behind in church services, and yet when I went the people there were unfriendly and cold to me. I hadn't abandoned God at the time, and I still wanted to go to church because I felt it was right, though my mom and at times my sister didn't want to go.
I went when I could, and when I did I felt burned. They weren't very supportive after my father's demise. I mean, they just fell off. I stopped wanting to go to that church because of this, and whenever I would go they would call me out, not like 'welcome back', more like 'non-church going heathen returns!'. Meanwhile, the same church friends stopped talking to me. They were getting drunk, high, pregnant, going out late, but shunned ME because I wasn't attending church. :/
It is important to learn that Jesus isn't like that at all. I started resenting God. I have since developed a relationship with Jesus, but I am still looking for a church home. And I need transportation! Some one pray for me.

Oh not again - Rome as Jezebel sitting on 7 hills. How many major cities sit on 7 hills? Don't bother me, there are plenty. As for Jezebel -v- asceticism - there are more Catholics leading self-denying lives than protestants, especially the American evangelists who expect their congregations to support them in style.

When christians stop slanging each other they'll see that the real evil spirit weakening the Church is competition and condemnation . This is the real worldliness. Our kingdom is not of this world. Our greatest treasure is the knowledge that Jesus IS. Think about it.

hi, i was wondering how do you no you have the spirit of jezebel. iam kinda new in christ and i already have dreams about things before it happens and also about things that happen to people in the past. most of my dreams have been confirmed. at frist i use to be scared of them but now i just go to GOD about them. im not saying i have a gift but i jus want to understand the differnece. and i want to no why would GOD trust me with something like this being so new in him. ps i never did witch craft before but i did use to watch charmed.

My name is Franklyn, I have a question. If according to Daniel 7 and Revelation 13, the Great Whore, mother or harlots is the papal system. Where does this leave the people that take Sunday as their day of worship; pentecostals in this case. I am one and after studying the word of God, I realise that most of us in the Charismaitic system don't know anything about the prophecy of Daniel 7 and Revelation 13. We know about 666, Mark of the beast but we do not know where they come from.

If Sunday was instituted by the papal system as a day of worship (Day when saints gather together to fellowship and worship God in one place), does this make all people who worship on Sunday Harlots, since the Mother of harlotry is the papal system.

I don't know if i phrased his question correctly but my point is can someone please help me by explaining Daniel 7 and Revelation 13 from a charismatic point of view.

The Seventh-Day Adventists say the Seal of God is the Seventh Day Sabbath which is Saturday, then whose seal is Sunday?

The battle seems to be for worship, God has his day and way of worship and the devil also seems to have his. What belongs to who in this case according to the above Books and chapters in the word of God?

I was wondering if anyone could share what insight they have about the spirit of harlotry at work in the family unit instead of within the church body. I have conversed minimally with other believers on this subject but would like more counsel on the subject. Thanks.

I'd just like to tell a short story about old Jezebel. The name comes from the original "Ides'of'Baal" which interpreted means 'Daughter of Baal', or 'Princess of Baal" or Priestess of Baal" and the context determines the actual meaning, of the three possibilities.

Now to cut it shortly, I went to a local church where I lived in Brisbane Australia, about 4 years ago now. There was this woman there, running the welfare section, and she was into all sorts of rorts and stealing. She was also a rumour monger, a thief (she was finally caught out stealing money from the offering plate, when she should have been counting it, and preparing it for banking - unfaithful servant!)

This woman used other people to do her dirty work, and then if found out, she would always have clean hands. I don't know how many times people ran up those stairs to the top office, to complain about her and her ungodly actions, but to no avail - didn't want to know. Well, you know folks, that church was in deep financial trouble year before last, and ended up handing the reigns of the church and the property to another group that now runs that facility.

to their shame, the previous leadership who refused to do anything with this evil woman, who failed to make her accountable, in the end couldn't account for their financial oversight of that ministry either and now they are no more.

Jezebel in general likes to control and manipulate people, places and events, in order to get her own way. If you think I'm against women, please don't misunderstand. This spirit can affect men too, and where I come from, they call it a "religeous spirit" if it's inside a man, but a Jezebel spirit if it affects a woman.

I caught this woman out in a couple of scams, and then she started the most viscious rumours and lies about me, but thank God, she was given 10 months notice about her job, and I don't know anyone who's been told ten months ahead of time that they're fired! Do you???

Anyway, she's more or less gone from the local church scene here, and concentrates on her day job and her other creative recreational pursuits, but she has no part in the local church, and has gained nothing at all by her lying and stealing, except a bad reputation.

Folks, I'd just like to add some more on what I wrote for you last night.

In the life of Joseph, we can see this same Jezebel spirit at work. Mrs Potifer tried to get the young man to commit sin with her, while her husband was away. When Joseph refused flatly to have anything to do with her adulterous scheme, she used false witness against him, and had him thrown into prison. This is one of the chief hallmarks of old Jezebel at work in the church.

She will entice you into the same evil deeds that she likes to do. As per Revelation 2:18 through 20, she will seek to make you one of her inner circle, to partake of her evil deeds, and if you, dear saints of God, refuse her enticements, she will then turn on you and use false witness against you too.

Remember Naboth's vineyard in the book of Kings? How Jezebel wanted that piece of land so badly that she would use false witnesses and misuse the King's seal in order to murder Naboth, through a sham trial? Naboth's vineyard has fruit, growing on the vine, and old Jezebel wants to use that 'fruit' to make herself look good in front of the crowd, and she will murder your reputation in order to get it from you.

And what does Jezebel want to replace the vineyard with - according to the Bible,- a vegetable patch! She wants people who have no brains, and who are vulnerable enough to be useful to her, to be on show as her followers, while those who have a gifting and a calling from God, are often imprisoned in a jailhouse of lies and deceptions, all purpetrated on them by her and her inner circle.

Fortunately, God is in the business of supplying 'get out of jail free' cards, so if you've suffered in this manner, your trials won't be forever. Also, it's good to remember that while God does not approve of Jezebel's wicked schemes, sometimes He allows these things to come our way for the development of our character (just like in the life of Joseph) so that one day, when God calls us into a higher calling, we won't be tempted to fall in the same way that Jezebel and her henchmen have done.

We will truly ascend the 'throne' (calling, mission, ministry) that God has called us to, and we will be ruling and reigning in life, which is far more important than sitting on a golden throne back in ancient Egypt. "For such a time as this, you have been called into the Kingdom"... Book of Esther.
