(To be used together with pamphlet "Deliverance from Demons")
Primary reason for curses:
(a) Not hearing God's voice
(b) Not doing what He says There are seven blessings and seven curses referred to in the law in Scripture.
Seven blessings: (Deuteronomy 28)
(1) Exaltation
(2) Reproductiveness
(3) Health
(4) Prosperity, success
(5) Victory
(6) That we are the head and not the tail
(7) That we will be above and not beneath
There are seven curses referred to in the same chapter:
(1) Humiliation
(2) Barrenness
(3) Sickness of every kind
(4) Poverty, failure
(5) Defeat
(6) We will be the tail and not the head
(7) We will be below and not above
Indications of Curses:
(1) Mental, emotional breakdown
(2) Repeated sickness, especially hereditary sickness -doctors can't find the cause
(3) Feminine problems -barrenness, miscarriage, menstruation problems
(4) Breakdown of marriage -family alienation
(5) Financial insufficiency, poverty. Sometimes poverty for a short period is just a test but if we are always in poverty it could be a curse.
(6) Accident prone
(7) History of unnatural deaths
A curse can be something like an evil thing moving up from the past. It is like a deep shadow.
Note:
Proverbs 26:
2. A curse is:
"Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, So a curse without cause shall not alight."
Therefore, a curse requires a cause to alight.
REASONS FOR CURSES:
(1) Having false gods (Exodus 20: 3& 4, Deuteronomy 27: 15)
(2) Disrespect for parents (Deuteronomy 27: 16)
(3) Treachery against a neighbour (Deuteronomy 27: 17)
(4) Injustice to the weak (Deuteronomy 27: 18& 19)
(5) Illicit sex (Deuteronomy 27: 20-23)
(Effect of wrong sexual relationships, particularly those outside of marriage or with members of one's family)
(6) Perjury (Deuteronomy 27: 25)
(7) Stealing (Zechariah 5: 1-4)
(8) Stinginess towards God (Malachi 3: 9)
(9) Perverting gospel (Galatians 1: 8& 9)
(10) Depending on the flesh (Jeremiah 17: 5)
(11) Anti-Semitism (Genesis 12: 3, Genesis 28: 3& 14)
SOURCE OF CURSES:
1. God Himself God blesses and curses (Exodus 20: 3&5) Breaking the first two commandments:
(a) To have no other Gods
(b) Idolatry
Our God is a jealous God
2. All occult practices Making occultism your God, eg a fortune teller. It is the power behind the fortune teller that matters. In four generations we can have upwards of 30 ancestors.
3. Men who speak on behalf of God
(a) Joshua 6: 26, ie Joshua said, "Cursed be the man before the Lord who rises up and builds the city Jericho, he shall lay its foundation with his firstborn, and with his youngest he shall set up its gates." This was fulfilled in 1 Kings 16: 34 nearly 500 years later when Hiel of Bethel built Jericho, he laid its foundation with Abriam, his first born, and with his youngest son Segub he set up its gates according to the Word of the Lord which he had spoken through Joshua the son of Nun. Thus curses are self-perpetuating.
(b) 2 Samuel 1: 21 Statement by David: "Oh mountains of Gilboa, Let there be no dew, nor let there be rain upon you, Nor fields of offerings.
For the shield of the mighty is cast away there!" These were the fields of Gilboa upon which Saul and Jonathan had died and David was cursing them. Nearly 3, 000 years later this same curse was upon this land and the Jewish people had great difficulty a few years ago in trying to get trees to grow on it.
(c) 2 Kings 5 (Naaman) verse 27, cursed his servant with leprosy forever.
4. God's servants can do this today eg Jesus cursed the fig tree and said, "You can do this also."
5. Persons with relational authority eg husband over wife, parents over children. Words spoken have supernatural powers. The blessing of the father is important.
(a) Genesis 31 -Jacob and Rachel: Rachel had stolen her father's gods. Jacob did not know this and he said to her father, Laban: "`With whomever you find your gods, do not let him live. In the presence of our brethren, identify what I have of yours and take it with you. ' For Jacob did not know that Rachel had stolen them." (Genesis 31: 32) ie, he was in effect saying that she should die, although, of course, he did not know she had stolen them and that she would feign sickness to avoid being discovered. She later died in childbirth.
(b) Examples where husband curses his wife or parents curse their children, eg a husband says to his wife, "You cannot cook", or the following statements are made in respect of other people including children:
"You are no good"
"You are useless"
"You are a failure"
"You will never be any good"
"You are hopeless"
"You will never achieve anything"
"You are ugly"
"You are a bad person"
"You are always a liar"
"It's in the family and you are sure to get it" etc etc.
6. Self-imposed curses which become like inner vows. Examples:
"I'll never be any good"
"I'll never forgive myself"
"God doesn't love me"
"I'll never speak to ..... again"
"I hate myself"
"No-one loves me"
"I want to die, I'm better off dead"
Examples from Scripture:
(a) Genesis 27: 13 Rebekah said:
"Let your curse be on me"
and in verse 46 she said:
"I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth;
... what good will my life be to me?"
She brought a curse on herself.
(b) Matthew 27: 24& 25, the Jews said, "Let His blood be on us and our descendants".
(c) Peter denied the Lord three times
7. Curses brought on by unscriptural covenants:
Exodus 23: 32: "You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods." We are to make no covenant with those who are not committed as Christians. Freemasonry is an example of that with self-imposed curses, eg the 32nd degree
2 Corinthians 6: 14-17: "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people." Therefore "Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you."
8. Curses put on by the servants of Satan eg witch doctors, medicine men, tohungas etc. Example: Numbers 22: 4& 6. Note this was a request by Moab to Balam to pronounce curses on Israel. It was a matter of their gods versus the true God. When people fought one another in the old days, they regarded it as a fight between their gods and the other gods, eg David and Goliath.
1 Samuel 17: 43: " So the Philistine said to David, "Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?" And the Philistine cursed David by his gods."
Other reasons for curses:
1. Objects in homes (Deuteronomy 7: 26) We are to have no abominable thing our home. This can cause children to be disturbed.
2. Soul ties These are soul ties which are contrary to God's purposes. Eg, in adultery, fornication (especially past sexual relationships). Ungodly soul ties can bring spiritual sickness. 1 Corinthians 6: 18: "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
Examples of wrongful sex are as follows:
Pre-marital sex Perverted sex
Trial marriages Homosexuality
Lesbianism Pornography and fantasy
Bestiality Transvestism
Sexual abuse
Consequences:
(a) Establishment of soul ties and bondings in the flesh other than with God's intended partner.
(b) Guilt and condemnation.
(c) Demonisation
(d) Emotional disturbance
What is sexual abuse?
Uninvited caressing
Uninvited handling of the sexual areas
Anal handling
Masturbation in front of a person
Forced oral sex
Forced mutual masturbation
Forced intercourse and rape
Bestiality
Ritualistic sex
Incest
All of these cause fear, confusion, deception.
Long term problems:
(a) Confusion of one's identity, sexuality, physical position and emotional situation.
(b) Causes regression and repression of memories. Causes fantasy.
(c) Breaking of trust.
(d) Causes rebellion including (i) self rejection (ii) fear of rejection and (iii) anger.
(e) Causes guilt and fear.
(f) Causes inability to respond to love.
(g) Causes desire to die.
(h) Causes physical illness.
(i) Causes damage to the spirit.
Also domination by one person over another, eg where a father dominates or sexually abuses his daughter.
HOW TO BE RELEASED FROM THE CURSE:
1. We must recognise that there is a curse.
2. We must repent from all sin.
3. We must renounce in the name of Jesus Christ.
4. We must resist, eg James 4: 7: "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."
5. Use the Word of God. The Word of God is powerful and such Scriptures as the following can be used:
Psalm 118: 17:
"I shall not die, but live,
And declare the works of the LORD."
We must realise that where there is a negative there should also be a positive. We recall that Peter denied the Lord three times but three times Jesus asked him, "Do you love
me?" Peter had to revoke his earlier statement three times.
Where curses have arisen from the servants of Satan, we must recognise Luke 10: 19: "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the

what can happen if someone
what can happen if someone uses a spell to break a spell, /i am not trying to sound contradicting although that is what i'm being, I am just angry because I know of a spell placed on my family and I, and am very angry and frustrated. Any feedback
If someone uses a spell...
Proverb 26:2 "As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come."
Did you sin against this person to cause them pain or hurt, intentionally or unintentionally? If so, repent to them and apologize for your words or actions. If you have not sinned, no repentance is needed.
In casting a spell, they have sinned against you, so forgiveness is needed on your part, whether or not they repent. Remember Jesus who forgave the unrepentant on the cross, and do likewise.
The power of forgiveness and repentance clears the air of sin, which would be the cause of the curse coming. If you wish to know what happens if you use a spell to break a spell ask a magician. God does not operate that way and strictly forbids it.
Your anger will only feed the sin. Eph. 4:26, "be angry and sin not. Let not the sun go down on your anger." Your anger is probably driven by fear. Fear of what that spell could do to you and your family. Fear not. Fear is an open door to evil as well. Fear God and serve Him. Ask Him to protect you according to His Word, "His angels camp round about His people." Remain in obedience to the One True God and He will deliver you from your enemies. The battle is the Lord's. If you take it upon yourself, you have sinned grievously.
I hope this is helpful. It may provoke further comment and insight from others.

Re: Spell for spell
17Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Romans 12:17,19,21
Take these words to heart and let them live through you.
Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
- Luke 6:28
You and your family need deliverance. Instead of finding a Scripture or two about curses and deliverance. I want to recommend that you search diligently and earnestly throughout the Bible and find all that you can. I also recommend that your family be a part of this. You must first have faith in Jesus, for without Him can you be freed from this curse nor can you be freed from the the curse of sin.
"Pray without ceasing", "seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore." Seek Him, for "He knowest the hearts of all men" and "He knoweth all things." Live in such a way that declares what you find. If you find that you already have this freedom, than live in such a way that declares that to all. If you find that you must do something and ask for it, than you must do something, or ask for it. Obey the Scriptures with all that you are and have.
I hope that everyone on here may agree to pray for you with me and also to leave you with your search of the Scriptures. I know that in searching you will find much more than you can possibly imagine and it will change you.
Ex-girlfriend (White witch)
Hi, thank you for the above information. I might have a similar situation regarding an ex-girlfriend of mine who claimed to be a "good, meaning not evil" white witch. Nevertheless I didn't know anything about it or of the occult at that time (two years ago) but when our relationship ended very soon (obviously as I always proclaimed my Christian faith) and the relationship ending very sour, she threatened me in placing spells and curses against or upon me. A few months ago I joined a new church where deliverances are practised at each service, and the first time I walked into the church a lady came up to me and said she saw "in the spirit" a cursed chess board that I own and that she needs to pray for me immediately as someone is chanting against me through the chess board. So before the service commenced we started praying and while praying the lady started picking up all kinds of things about this character placing spells and curses towards me, she described this ex-girlfriend of mine in detail, even describing an anarchy formed tattoo on her friends body, this while she has never met her or me before that morning. Apparently she recognised a soul-tie and broke it for me in prayer, even though our relationship wasn't sexual but apparently a tie can even be formed through kissing and general non-sexual intimacy... So after so long after this relationship ceased I was under some terrible curses being transferred to me by the means of the soul tie and the chess board (I got the chessboard from her as a gift) and it made sense that after this relationship things did go unexplainably wrong in my life. I burnt the chessboard, and destroyed all objects that I got from her afterwards. The problem is that at church the pastor and intercessors are busy almost all the time, and don’t find the opportunity for complete prayer assistance from them, and I still don’t feel right about everything. Are there any additional biblical guided prayers that will completely give closing on this matter that I may pray privately until things get back to what it was in my life?
I know it was a foolish thing to be unevenly yoked but at that time not being to educated about the matter I was hopeful that she would repent of the witching as she told me she didn't want to do it anymore.

1 John 1: 7:
"But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin."
Do you know what this scripture is about? It is a letter written to the church where they have people participating that are gnostics. They arent saved, So the writer is telling them about sin because Gnostics did not believe in sin. So they not being saved could not have true fellowship with the other people in the fellowship who had recieved Christ.
Thats the whole issue with 1 Jn 1 He tells thm how to be saved in verse 9
The readers of 1 John WERE SAVED
Tropical_Guy, Your premise is false, and your application is DOWNRIGHT DANGEROUS.
John says in the letter himself who he is writing to. He talks about three classes of Christians - little children, young men, and fathers (see 1 John 2:12-14).
1Jn 2:12 I write to you, little children, Because your sins are forgiven you for His name's sake.
1Jn 2:13 I write to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, Because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, Because you have known the Father.
1Jn 2:14 I have written to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, And you have overcome the wicked one.
And writing to these people John said:
1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
1Jn 2:2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
The fact is, Christians DO at times sin, and for the sake of their relationship with God, they need to confess their sins and forsake them (see 1 John 1:7-9). John's letter was to help the new believers to NOT SIN. If there was no chance they would or could, his letter would not have been necessary.
Do you make the claim that you never sin?
The last person I knew who taught the doctrine you are spouting is now firmly in the camp of Satan, living as he has for many years in adultery and drunkenness, having hurt and abused his Christian wife whom he divorced many years ago. While he was still professing to follow Christ I heard him teach exactly what you are saying here. Its scary.
sad on your part.
is everyone in your fellowship saved? Probably not is as the rule of thumb in most fellowships.
Dangerous why? If confession of sin by a believer were in actuality being taugh, then there would be many places in the New Covenant which would proclaim it. There is one in 1 Jn 1 9 and it, if you are intellectually honest would be seen t is telling the people there that could not fellowship, how they could. Your presumptions are that the bible is speaking only to the saved.
Were all the people that Jesus talking to saved? Get real a little bit.
Is John 3:16 speaking to the saved? Of course not.
I am sorry about your friend. But experiences in life are a very poor and inacceptable way to interpet scriptures.
I used to do what you do until I found out there is more than one covenant. One of them is dead. You have to mix a dead covenant with a Live covenant to make your "vision" work. The word speaks against mixing old wine skins with New Wine. That is what you are doing.
You will find scriptures that in order to form a ddoctrine, you need 2 or more. You are not finding these scriptures in the realm of the New Covenant. So you do not have a real doctrine that is true.
If you have kids, you love them right? If something was of the utmost importance in your relationshi[p with them, you would not just tell them once. You would make it clear, Just like telling them you love them.
God is even the greater father. He makes things very clear. Until Jesus Christ dies on that cross, Christianity does not even begin. It is only for the Jewish people and dealing with Jewish law.
The word is very clear on that. On the other side of the Cross you no longer see needs for annimal sacrifice. You do not see any curses broken over believers. You will not find one instance of that or a Christian having a demon. NOT ONE. There is a reason why. He took care of it.
Your concepts are just as mine were. Jesus plus something else. Yet the word says it is complete in Jesus. Your concept basically is saying what Jesus did was not enough. It is and was.
If God was a counter of sins on believers, every thought that is bad would disqualify you. There is no little sin, big sin thing. It says that a person is separated by God because of sin. One sin is all it took to begin with and now, if you buy into that, would again. S your salvation is a yo-yo. What kind of relationship is that?
Now I know I am forgiven. Paul said he could do all things. Not just some, but that not all things are profitable. We arent clled to be rule keepers. We are called to have a love relationship with God.
I am righteous not because of being a good man. Rather because of what Christ did. I suggest you read in Luke 5 the Prodigal son. He asks forgiveness. Does the father ever say he is forgiven? Does he ever say, ok its ok now but dont do that again because you know better?
No, he never even says he is forgiven. he says get a ring, get a robe and kill the fatted calf.
He was forgiven before he ever left. That is how God looks at us too. Your friend may be messed up. But I assure you God is loving him where he is. It is God's goodness and Kindness that brings us to repentance. So yes, your friend can do all things. What he is doing is in no way possible. But, you are just as capable of doing what he is right now. Your law will not save you. Paul said to choose between the law and grace.
The word says the law causes people to sin.Good luck with that. I am waiting for you to show me one place where born again Christians have a demon cast out of them or a enerational curse broken over them. You wont find it. I guess God forgot?
Sin and curses
Tropical Guy, here is my understanding of this topic.
When we become born again, we do not automatically become perfected ie. Jesus like.
It takes discipline and huge amounts of Gods grace for us to be transformed into His likeness.
It is a lifetime walk.
We are under a curse whethre it be the curse of sin or otherwise, ie generational, according to the amount of ground we give to satan.
I carrried on smoking dope for a while after I became a Christian.
Does that mean that I wasnt truely born again?
This is an old debate and I believe that whether or not you call it predestination or, once saved always saved, God knows His children and His children know Him.
It is about our relationship with our creator.
I believe that your approach to this debate is misled.
You would do well to seek the Lord regarding the truth about these matters.
God bless
Pete
When it Happens To You
There are things in the spiritual realm that we just do not understand...My understanding was promoted when things happened to me that if someone else would have told me these events happened to them it would have been hard to fathom....God let the door be opened to just a crack to these things and it was not something that I wanted to stay in my life....When these occurances happened it was due to me disobeying God and it was part of my chastizement.....Yes, I was born again and a Christian for over 20 years but when God tells you not to do something and even asks what will you give for your soul and you still pursue it then it is rebellion and only for the grace of God with Him stepping into the situation, I would be married to a false prophet and ensnared into a situation that I could not get out of ...
this reminds me of
an sdopted child that doesnt recognize their own surroundings. Every scripture has a place in the bible. It has a purpose and reason, but not every scripture is still apllicable. If it were you better go and get your annimal sacrifice.
That is what I find sad and interesting. People pick things out of an old defunct covenant and presume they apply today. The only obvious one they choose to not believe is the sacrifies because they know Jesus was sacrificed for us.
After that sacrifice on the cross you will not find any person that is born again having a curse over them in the scriptures. There is a reason for that. When you come into life at salvation in the new Covenant, all curses are broken. You are under blessing and not under any curse. None can come upon you. It is the same way with demons. The Holy Spirit is living in you. The demons trembled at Jesus name, and you think one can live where the Holy Spirit has taken up residence?
This curse stuff is totally unqualified. It has no scriptural basis in the New Covenant.
Sickness is part of the curse in Deuteronomy 28 ...
and many Christians are still living under that curse, although Christ has purchased their deliverance.
I presume you don't teach that Christians can't get sick. To maintain your position, you'd probably have to say that sickness is actually a blessing.
The effect of your teaching will be to get Christians who ARE UNDER THE CURSE because of disobedience to live in DENIAL and frustration.
Just as Christian Scientists deny that they are sick, so you would have Christians to deny that they have spiritual problems. It reminds me of the customer service at so many Indian call centres, where they say: "Sir, there is no problem". Meanwhile, you are sitting there and your computer still won't work.
break curses on my life and the family
Thanks for the article on curses. I would appreciate more input in this regard.
