3echolon, thank you for sharing your little testimony! Praise the Lord for providing that for you!! He knows our needs. :) Your testimony actually reminded me of something He did for me that I completely forgot about and never shared with anyone because I was embarrassed...embarrassed because God (I know it had to have been Him) did this thing right in front of me and I completely missed it, until AFTER the incident happened. But I will go ahead and share it now since God can never get too much glory! :)

I had to take a Civil Service exam up at the school I graduated from in December of '08, because I applied for a office associate job there (a few months ago). Well, my dad went online the night before to see if he could find some information about what I should bring or anything important like that. The website apparently said that people taking the exam had to park in a lot there on campus that people had to get a ticket from a ticket booth there before parking in the lot, and then pay when leaving. People taking the exam though would be excused from paying. Well, I had just been up at the campus a few weeks before that and that lot had been closed because there was some construction going on, so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to park there. I didn't have a student parking pass since I wasn't a student there anymore and I didn't know if I would be able to parking in the regular metered lots because I didn't know how long my test would be and the meters only go up to 2 hours. So I tried to ask my sis if she would take me that morning because she didn't have classes until that afternoon but we all realized that wouldn't really work because we had no idea how long the test would be and we might have been too late getting back home, and then she would've been late driving back up there. So then I asked my dad to drop me off there or something but he said he wasn't going to wait around for me to take my test. So, I decided to give up worrying and just hoped for the lot to be open and the Lord would allow me to get in free.

So off I go the next morning and the lot was opened back up. Then I saw the reason why it was closed in the first place...the ticket booths were now replaced with machines. So I was like, okay, this better work for me. So I pull up to the machine and saw that people could pay by student ids (maybe credit cards too but i can't remember and I'm not sure if i had mine that day) and cash. So I pull out my five dollar bill because I figured it wouldn't be any longer than a 5 hour exam (and that lot costs a $1 an hour) and started to put it in the slot...but it wouldn't go in. Tried it again...wouldn't go in. A car pulls up behind me and I was like, "oh great, I dont' wanna hold anyone up". So I kept trying to put the dollar in there and it still didn't go in. And when I say it wouldn't go in, I mean that it literally wouldn't go in. Sometimes you stick the bill in and the machine just spits it back out. But this thing wouldn't even allow my bill to go in. Thankfully there was another little lane next to this one where cars could go through as well, so the car behind me reversed and pulled into that one to pay while I was still stuck there trying to figure out why my money wasn't working. Well, there was a point in the middle of all this that my eyes just happened to look at the ticket tray where the ticket pops out and I notice a ticket laying there. The only thought in my head at that point was "someone must have left their ticket there" and I didn't want to take it because I would've felt guilty. Well, finally, giving up, frustrated, I pulled through the parking lot, turned around and went back out the exit. Ended up parking in the metered lot, hoping they would let me come out there during my test and put some more money in (which they did, Praise the Lord). I even told the receptionist that they no longer had booths at that other lot, it was machines now, and it wouldn't take my money. I told this to my dad as well when I got home.

So later than night, while sitting on my bed, reading my Bible, it hit me like a ton of bricks...that ticket was from the Lord!! It had to have been. The only other possible explanation was that someone forgot it but it would be odd to forgot your ticket right after paying. And that machine (or God?) wasn't even letting me put the bill in the machine!! And a ticket is mysteriously sitting there. Maybe this was all a coincidence but I did ask Him to take care of me that morning, and we know He's a God who provides, so...

Does anyone else think this could've been from the Lord?

I have an update on the hot chocolate testimony. I stayed at my dad's this week while my sister has been at my mom's. My sis came back to dad's today and my mom sent her off with a box of hot chocolate, lol! So God has me covered at my mom's AND my dad's! And none of my family even knew about my prayer or testimony. God is awesome. :)
