Although fear is a spirit, it is also a sin against the God who rightly commands us not to fear. If we have placed our trust in God through Christ, God has promised not to abandon us. Is it right to doubt God's word on this? Don't we believe that God is willing and able to help us if we trust Him and take hold of the provisions he gives us? It is a sin against God to fear evil. It is a sin to fear what evil men or devils can do, God commands us in many places "Fear not!" God promises to protect us and ultimately get us to heaven. But we need to trust in Him.

Revelation 21:8 says "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
Fear and unbelief are related. We fear evil when we don't really believe the promises of God.
Fear is a serious thing. We should confess it to the Lord as sin, and call out to him for deliverance from it! Because once the powers of evil get an area in which they can dominate us, they don't let it go without a fight. However, these powers are no match for the Lord. "Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4). Therefore we must call upon the Lord if we are still being afflicted with a spirit of fear, and the power of the Lord within us and upon us will set us free from all spirits of fear - many times people have more than one.
Common Consequences relating to Fear
Practical experience has taught that the spirit of fear is related to heart disease. If you get rid of the spirit of fear, anxiety will not weigh down your heart, and your heart will be healthier.
