False Teachers and Teachings

"Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints." (Jude 3)

Like Jude, the brother of the Lord, I prefer to emphasize the positive truths of the Word of God, but the fact is that we are also told to CONTEND earnestly for the FAITH (Jude 3) WARN people and REBUKE ERROR (2 Timothy 3:16). Paul said to the CHURCH LEADERS in Ephesus, part of the early church:

"Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to WARN everyone day and night WITH TEARS". (Acts 20:31)

In all my life as a Christian, for the last 23 years (and I am almost 42 at the time of writing), I have NEVER seen any preacher warn people with tears. There is a difference between what is truly apostolic and the kind of self-promoting rubbish that is being palmed off as being "apostolic" today.

People today are so keen on being thought well of by others that they will only speak positive things that will help them to "win friends and influence people". Thus we hear so much praise of wicked men, false prophets, deceivers and charlatans today by evangelists, pastors and teachers who know that this is the best way to attract people.

So who has the unbalanced ministry? Is it the apostle Paul, who warned church leaders night and day for three years with TEARS (Acts 20:31), or is it those who never rebuke error, who believe that Christians really don't need any warnings, and are indifferent to the teachings and practices which are ravaging the church today?

Who today can say with the apostle Paul, "I have coveted no one's silver or gold or apparel. Yes, you know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me." (Acts 20:33,34)? Praise God for those who can.
Paul truly gave us a model to follow, as he goes on to say in Acts 20:35, and in places like 1 Corinthians 11:1, but false prophets and false teachers RARELY would find such a model appealing. Instead,

"by covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words" (2 Peter 2:3)

"they have run greedily into the error of Balaam for profit" (2 Peter 2:11)

You can find some of these people on television networks like TBN. They are part of the deception in the last days.

I am not saying that everyone on TBN is a false prophet or false teacher, but I am saying that they will definitely put a false prophet or teacher on the air if the money is right. Draw your own conclusions.

Its necessary at times to warn people and expose evil. The Bible says:

"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them." (Ephesians 5:11)

I have made up my mind, even though I am heavily involved as the founder of a small Christians TV network, that I will refuse fellowship with people who are compromising in this area, even though it might mean less influence, less money, and less favour from men for the ministry I am involved in.

It is important for us NOT to make an idol out of religious success. The only reward that counts is the one that Jesus will give us on the Last Day. It is better to suffer loss here than to suffer loss there or face the eternal loss of one's soul. Therefore, I urge you to:

"Test all things, hold fast to what is good, abstain from every form of evil". (1 Thessalonians 5:21,22)

Do the Mormon Scriptures endorse Polygamy?

I quote from the official website of the so-called "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" the following verses on the subject of the taking of many wives, found in Doctrines and Covenants 132:61,62 read more »

Speaking in tongues is not a guarantee against deception

We should not feel safe about someone's teaching just because they are pentecostal or charismatic. We need to realize that false teachers and prophets certainly exist in the charismatic church, and we need to tremble at the Word of God rather than before the personas who tell us how special and anointed they and their buddies are. read more »

Joel Osteen on Larry King - won't say if Unbelievers Go to Hell

It is sad when the "pastor" of America's largest church is so incredibly wishy-washy on the issue of WHETHER MANKIND HAS AN ETERNAL PROBLEM. read more »

Christian TV channels should NOT support false prophets and teachers

As someone who is involved in setting up Christian TV channels, I feel it is important to state that FINANCIAL REALITIES DO NOT TRUMP GOD'S COMMANDS NOT TO BE PARTNERS WITH FALSE PROPHETS/TEACHERS.

In other words, just because a certain preacher can raise a lot of money from people on TV and can pay handsomely for TV time, does not mean that it is God's will that his or her message be heard on TV.

The influence of Television is Massive. True Christians SHOULD be aiming to get hold of this medium. read more »

Mormon Religion

The Mormon religion was founded by Joseph Smith around 1830 in the United States of America. It is a fast growing religious movement which claims more than 12 million adherents worldwide as of 2006 (1). Mormonism teaches that historical Christianity is totally apostate, and God raised up Joseph Smith as a prophet to restore it. In addition to using the Bible (which they believe is totally inadequate by itself to tell us what we need to know), mormons believe that the "revelations" "discovered" by Joseph Smith which came to be written down as the "Book of Mormon" are Scripture. read more »

The Bible says that False Teachers are going to have a big following! 2 Peter 2:2

2Pe 2:1  But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

2Pe 2:2  And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.

What is our end goal: our happiness or to serve God unconditionally?

How do you react when God seems to deny you what you ask in prayer, at least for the time being, and you do not understand why? What if you prayed for a long time and it still did not get answered yet? Does that make you change the way you think or feel about God? Does it makes you feel dissapointed or maybe offended with God? Does it affect the quality of your relationship and intimacy with God? Believe me, it did affect mine in the past, and it took me 4 years and a LOT of pain of mind and soul to get to understand what I am writing to you about below.  read more »

Joseph Prince - Antinomian Megastar and Teacher of Lawless Grace

Entering the local Koorong Christian bookstore yesterday, I immediately noticed a book with an attractive looking young Asian man on the cover. The picture was of Joseph Prince, the title of the book, "Destined to Reign", and the subtitle went as follows: "The secret to effortless success, wholeness and victorious living." read more »

Billy Graham's Apostasy - More Evidence

In an article from Worldnetdaily by Tom Flannery we read the following:

In a profile of Graham in the current issue of Newsweek, managing editor Jon Meacham asks the 87-year-old evangelist whether those who belong to religions that reject Christ as savior (Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, etc.) and secularists will be saved.

"Those are decisions only the Lord will make," Graham replied. "It would be foolish for me to speculate on who will be there [in heaven] and who won't. ...
