Faith Teaching

Scriptures telling us to Be Courageous

"Be of good courage." (Numbers 13:20)

The failure of 10 of the spies to obey this commandment cost them their lives and cost the Israelites 40 long years in the wilderness.

Deut 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."

We are not permitted to fear our spiritual or natural enemies because Almighty God is the One who goes with us. read more »

Sinning versus Knowing God - Bible Study on 1 John 2:1-4

John writes so that we may not sin. And yet we have Jesus Christ going to bat for us before the Father at the times we do sin. In this teaching we look at the great blessing it is to have Jesus as our advocate. At the same time, we examine what John says is the Scriptural test for whether we really know Jesus or not. read more »

Keeping the Faith

Among the last words written by the apostle Paul are these:

6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. read more »

Three Elements of Faith - Obedience, Attitude and Expectation

In the book of Genesis chapter 22 we see in Abraham three vital aspects of the kind of faith that pleases God - obedience to God's voice, right attitude, and expectation of God's goodness in spite of what the natural mind would say.

Gen 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. read more »

A Prophetic Dream

I had started going to an early morning prayer meeting, and last night while I was dreaming, the alarm woke me up. In my half woken state, while in the bathroom, the dream I was having continued.

I cannot now remember all the details of the dream. But I know that it was set for me to have a conflict with an evil werewolf, a creature of the night. This was to happen on a particular day. The werewolf had someone working with it, and I was to be helped by one man of God. read more »

Fight the Fight of Faith - do not be Shipwrecked

"This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme." (1 Timothy 1:18-20)

Do you believe in personal prophecy? The Apostle Paul did. He told Timothy that there were prophecies previously made concerning him. These prophecies were weapons by which Timothy could "wage the good warfare". read more »

Personal Revival Manual - Catch the Glorious Fire

This book was written by Paul Quadros, a man of God who has been involved in church planting, pastoring and evangelism for many years. He has been a senior elder within the vast New Life Movement International Trust in Mumbai churches. Having known Paul closely and personally I would highly recommend his ministry and writings. He is someone who has demonstrated great love for God, for people, for the church and for lost souls and has a wealth of experience in serving others.

The power in your words

Words – the Key to a Better Life

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit" (Proverbs 18:21)

Is there really power in your words?

According to the Scriptures, the tongue has a power. Notice it says here, "the power of the tongue". Its obvious that the power referred to here is not the physical power of the tongue as a muscle, but the power of the words it produces. I've never heard of the word "tongue" used in relation to God Himself. Its a word used of human speech. So we can see that the Word of God is saying that our speech is tremendously important, powerful and significant. So much so that our words are a matter of life and death. Perhaps this is why Jesus declared, "But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment." (Matthew 12:36). "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." (Matthew 12:37). These declarations of Jesus Christ should cause us to sit up and take notice, and consider very carefully what kind of words are coming out of our mouths and why. read more »
