The enemy of our soul has an open door in many Christian's lives. This door has a big welcome sign on it telling Satan come on in. This door is the door of unforgiveness in the Christian's life. Unforgiveness comes from many places...a parent or parents too busy with their own life to care and cherish their child...a teacher who speaks words that are to correct a child but are full of poison...a spouse who just cannot be faithful to their mate...a romance with a bright future that is extinguished...a abusive parent or spouse who wreaks havoc on the family...a drunkard or drug addict who uses people...an older person molests a child...a Christian who hurts another Christian with their words and actions... Unforgiveness comes in all shapes and sizes. Everyone is faced with issues that can bring about unforgiveness.
Christians are called to have an attitude of forgiveness.
For if you forgive men their trespasses your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. ( Matthew 6:14,15).
Then Peter came to Him (Jesus) and said, "Lord how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him?" Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you up to seven times but up to seventy times seven." (Matthew 18:21,22).
And whenever you stand praying, if you have something against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive your trespasses. (Mark 11:25).
Forgive and you shall be forgiven. (Luke 6:37).
Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in a day and seven times in a day returns to you saying, "I repent," forgive him.(Luke 17:3,4).
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, fogiving one another just as God in Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32).
Forgiveness is a reflection of the very character of God. Forgiveness is God's Spirit working wi

The Fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge!!!
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
~Proverbs 1:7
The question is often asked of us, "Why Fear God? Isn’t He a loving God?" That is a good question! The answer depends on your relationship with Jesus.
A Dreadful Day
There is a fearful end awaiting men and women who have not received God’s free gift of salvation. Every man, woman and child will stand before God on the great day of judgment and give an account for their life. The fact of the matter is, all have sinned and come short of the standard God requires. For those who have not received salvation through Jesus, this will be a day filled with terror on a level they have never known.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
~Hebrews 10:31 KJV
In contrast, those who have received Jesus as their savior are "saved" from this day of judgment because they have already been judged in Christ. Again, all have sinned, but in the case of those who are "saved", the blood of Jesus is offered as acceptable payment for their sin.
Daddy Sir
But what about those who are "saved"? The fear of the Lord still applies! In this context, the fear of the Lord is not a terrifying thing, simply an ever present reminder that while we are forgiven through the blood of Jesus, we are still accountable before God for our actions. In other words, the blood of Jesus is not a license to do as we please. Would you live your life differently if you had to give the Father a complete accounting for your work at the end of each day?

right on !
Hi there , i just wanted to say that you are right on target : forgiveness will literally stop the flow of God's love and power in and through you . I know that first hand : a few months after being saved , i refused to obey the forgiveness commandment because i thought i had to wait for the people who hurt me to ask me to forgive them first . It did not take long for this attitude to short-circuit my fellowship with the Lord and to have a negative influence in my dealings with humans . Finally , after a few more months , i decided to ask the Lord to help me forgive . To this day , i consider this decision to be the most fulfilling in my entire Christian walk : the amount of joy , peace and comfort from the Lord that flooded my soul afterwards can never be put into words ! Anyway , thank you sister for this vital article ; God bless and protect you always !
