OLD TESTAMENT EXAMPLES

1 Samuel 24:17 “You are more righteous than I; for you have rewarded me with good, whereas I have rewarded you with evil. And you have shown this day how you have dealt well with me for when the Lord delivered me into your hand you did not kill me….and now I know indeed that you shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand.”

DOING GOOD TO OTHERS IS A ‘KINGLY’ THING TO DO, AND GOD WILL ESTABLISH HIS KINGDOM THROUGH THOSE WHO FOLLOW THIS PRINCIPLE.

Psalm 37:2 “Trust in the Lord and do good, dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

Psalm 37:27 “Depart from evil, and do good and dwell forevermore. For the Lord loves justice, and does not forsake His saints.”

Romans 12:17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.
