Ephesians 4:11-14
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

The above verses clearly indicates power division among the church members according to gift given to the Holy Ghost. Why did Jesus choose to make some apostles pastor..etc as stated by verses above? Answer is simple! to Equip saints for the work of ministry including evangelizing to the lost! In todays churches,Pastors are in charge of almost everything! few of them operate with highly suppressed teaching and evangelistic ministry,with no prophetic nor apostolic ministry!
From what I know,from the word of God,the church is founded on teaching of Apostles and Prophets,with Jesus,the chief apostle and Prophet as per
Heb 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; and Mar 6:4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. and Joh 4:44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.

So 12 Apostles received revelation to complete great work of this Apostle,from Jesus Himself first Paul,Peter...ending with Apocalypse of Jesus through his Angel to John. So Present Apostles and Prophets have nothing to add nor to take but their work is to make sure the church STANDS in the foundations of scripture! Sola Scriptura!! Evangelists are to be supported by the church to Preach the Gospel which obvious when preached under the power of Holy Ghost, is accompanied by MIRACLES,SIGNS,and WONDERS!Bishops/Pastors are to oversee the Church as Shepherds in conjunction to apostles(when are available for they are travelers to plant and founding them on Christ the chief corner stone!) and Teachers are to teach people How to CONTINUE in the Doctrines of Apostles, so that the church will grow to maturity here referred to as "perfect man" and "the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ"

Until the church allows Holy Spirit to operate freely NO church can prevail and manifest Triumphant victory of Jesus against prince of power of darkness and his vast army of demons! Until we allow Holy Spirit to lead the Church, we can't reach "unity of the faith" for every Denomination(church?) will have its own doctrine and cannot walk together!!
Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed? for sure not. So we need to take step to do something for the work of God. Start and Equip the Ministry that will return the Church to its foundations. I will be doing my Part as per God's grace.

I pray that all here at CF site will go and teach others. You don't need to change the traditions of your church (Though you can do if your Pastors are willing to yield to the will of Holy Ghost),but Pray to God and start Ministry which will equip saints and churches to stand on God's true foundations!!
