Do you want the God that exists or one that pleases you?
There is no difference between the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament. The question you should ask is not, "Do I like what God's law says", but "is it really God who is saying theses things?". God is loving and wishes men well but only on His terms. Reject God and his laws and you are already under condemnation. That is what the Bible teaches in the New Testament also. See John 3, Romans 1.
If it isn't God who is speaking, but just fallible men, you can just throw out the Bible. You can make up any god who pleases you.
Actually there is a kind of god that is all for homosexuality. He is also in favour of you doing whatever it is you want to do. His name is Satan. The Satanic Bible says, "Do as thou wilt is the whole of the law". The Bible says he is the "god of this age". The only problem is, this god is the one who is promoting every kind of selfish and destructive thing and whose agenda is to extract power by torturing you.
Yes, you can be as proud, greedy and hurtful as you please in satanism. Of course, others can be to you also.
Christians are to be kind to homosexuals, not violent or anything like that. We should treat people with kindness and respect regardless of their sexual orientation, and those who don't are not pleasing God. However, come the Day of Judgment, God will judge every one according to His standards. Those who reject Christ and his sacrifice for sin will fail the test.
Thomas Aquinas was a Roman Catholic who said on his deathbed as he had a revelation of eternity that all his theology was as straw - it was all going to be burned up. So please don't quote him as an authority.
Evil is not just the absence of good. It is the perversion of nature, in which ones own desires are followed above the law of God.
The New Testament does not teach that we are all God's children. We are all God's creation, but only those who repent and believe the gospel have the right to become God's children. All the rest are "children of wrath" (Ephesians 2:2). You will find that the Old and New Testament are really consistent.
Jesus said to the Pharisees that they were of their father, the devil.
It is not just homosexual perversion that offends God, but even a lustful look does. All of us therefore are in need of God's mercy. The question is whether we will yield to God's authority or continue to rebel and consider ourselves wiser and better than God. Your choice, your consequences.
