Another Side of Grace: FAITH

"Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith".

Romans 12: 6.

I want you to notice the way grace and faith are used in this scripture. He said gift differs according to the grace that is given to us and that we should minister the gifts according to the proportion of our faith. If we follow the flow of thought from the fact that gifts differ by the grace that is given, then we could conclude by saying "let us prophesy according to the grace that is given."

But instead the Holy Spirit suddenly changes from grace to faith. In other Words, grace given is equivalent to the proportion of faith. The grace of God upon a man is determined by the proportion of faith in his life. You cannot walk in faith more than the proportion (or measure) of grace upon your life and vice versa.

"And Stephen, full of faith and power did great wonders and miracles among the people".

Acts 6: 8.
"NowStephen, a man full of God's grace and power, did great wonders and miraculous signs among the people". Acts 6:8 (NIV).
Stephen we were told was full of faith, the same WORD `full of faith' was the same WORD `full of God's grace' as we can see in different renditions of the same scripture.

Fullness of faith connotes fullness of grace. Stephen was able to walk in the fullness of faith because he was full of the grace of God. You are a man of faith to the level to which you are a man of grace.
If grace is not in place, faith is out of place. For by grace are ye saved through faith.

"Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ".

Romans 5: 1.

"That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life".

Titus 3:7.

"Being justified freely by His grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus".
