What a mess that guy is in, spiritually.

If it is true that he spent twenty years in church then the fact that he does not know the one true God is an indication that there is something sadly amiss. Maybe it was a waste of time, for him.

The pagan beliefs he holds to are best summed up by examining the concept of the divine council. The heavenly assembley, created by God to rule over and administer to the day to day lives of mankind.

A warning against pagan idolatry is found in Deut 4:19

"And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven."
