Not all churches are dead rotting corpses

Adam, you raise so many points and each of them could lead to some in-depth discussions. I will try to make a start. Please bear with me as I have a lot on my plate right now, with starting a new business and some family members needing a lot of care. I may not be able to address all the important questions you raise in depth.

Although many visible churches are dead, there are also thousands of churches that are alive. There are even some that are absolutely full of the life of Jesus. Churches where the miracles of Jesus are happening on a daily basis, with about the same order of power as what is recorded in the gospels. Do a google search on "T.B. Joshua" for plenty of video and other evidence. This man of God also demonstrates a lot of compassion for the poor, the widows, the orphans, the sick and suffering. He gives them money. At times he has not even had his own bank account. The church I go to is full of love and the presence of God. They helped my family once in a very loving practical way when we were recently in great suffering. To a greater or lesser extent, we have a communion with the Holy Spirit that makes our lives fulfilled.

I meet sincere Christians everywhere if I look for them, people who have been changed by God's love and can point to proof of God's power in their lives.

So its not true generally that churches are dead rotting corpses. Sadly, some have fallen away from the true faith and made compromises with godless, worldly influences and they cannot offer God's life any more. But not all are like this.
