spirit of rejection
As a very young girl (less than 3 years old) my older sisters and I were tossed aside by our parents and adopted by 4 different families. I also had the spirit of rejection on me that caused much havoc in my life. I also thought people were rejecting me due to a very noticible disability but in reality it was my attitude toward them. I would either reject people who got to close to me or do something that would cause them to reject me. After I was saved and was baptized in the Holy Spirit the verses concerning receiving the Spirit of Adoption just leaped out at me. The Bible has a lot to say about God adopting. At times I still have to remind myself when someone rejects me just Who adopted me and what that means. I can cry out Abba Father (Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:6) and I also use Psalms 27:10..When my mother and father forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me. King David knew alot about rejection and many of his Psalms deal with this subject. And of course our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, knew more about rejection than King David. Remember people can and will reject you but God has promised to never leave you or forsake you Hebrews 13:5...Another translation says God will never forget about you or disappoint you.
