You are afflicted with a spirit of rejection which you got because of the treatment from your own father. This has affected you emotionally.

First step is to fast and pray and seek God for a revelation of HIS LOVE to you. When you RECEIVE and welcome the love of God in your own heart (which is sometimes easier said than done because the grip that evil can have on our hearts) then you will be able to love and receive your own family with warmth.

In the presence of God you need to verbalize words of forgiveness to your own father and choose to forgive him. Ask God also to help him to change, but your forgiveness of him comes before him changing.

I think pride comes in as a way to deal with the pain of being rejected by those who ought to love you. Prayer and fasting and meditation on God's word, as well as listening to soft worship music can prepare you to take the steps of forgiving and being forgiven and learning to relate in a warm way to your own family.
