I was greatly saddened by this news of Brother Haggard. And I too, wondered why more people were not able to discern the spirit/spirits that have disturbed him for so many years. In the past I have seen him preaching on TV and there was something about him that I found unnerving, so I would change the channel. I felt the same unease as I saw him in the TV interview on Thurs. A good friend of mine just wrote to me about this and also felt the same uneasiness. Her Pastor has known Brother Haggard for 20 years and didn't have a clue...
I pray that he and his family will draw closer to the L-rd at this time of extreme soul-searching. I pray that his children will not become bitter and angry, but will be able to keep their eyes on Jesus. I pray for the salvation of Mr. Jones, and I will say that after seeing him on some of the interviews, he seemed to be more genuinely contrite about this whole mess than Brother Haggard.
