I read an email circular stating that he was a muslim. He was educated in Indonesia, which is a muslim nation. But apparently he is also a member of some rather liberal Christian denomination in America. At least he spoke at one of their conventions and they claimed him as one of their own. So it was claimed on CNN or some such site.

He says he sees faith as a way to get the people of the world together.

I don't think he really believes religion is anything except to a means to political ends.

He is definitely against invading all these muslims nations. I think he is right on that count. We don't win spiritual battles through bombs and tanks. Read 2 Corinthians 10:3.
