There is holy laughter

I want to go on record that I believe that there are times when a person will laugh because of the work of the Holy Spirit, and it usually signifies some kind of spiritual breakthrough. There is a certain laugh my wife sometimes has in prayer which I recognise. When it comes, my wife is always stronger spiritually and more at peace afterwards.

I do believe that like all God's gifts, this laughter can be counterfeited both psychologically and demonically. Therefore, what is important is seeking the Lord and His truth above the seeking of manifestations. We should seek the Lord, who is Spirit, but not all things spiritual are of God, even when they happen in the church or in the life of a Christian.
