I have found something in the public domain so inspiring that I have posted it on this blog. As a young man from a wealthy family in the Punjab, Sadhu Sundar Singh was desperate for peace - something he could not find through his own prayers and devotions through following the teachings in his own Sikh holy book, The Granth, or in the Hindu vedas or even in the Qu'ran - though he knew much of these by heart. He hated and despised Christianity and even burned a Bible at school, considering it a religion of foreigners. He was most unhappy because the true knowledge of God eluded him. read more »

Introduction

In previous lessons we have seen the importance of repentance from dead works and of faith. These two elements are the keys to receiving God’s salvation. We have also seen the importance of casting out demons as a key to wholeness in Christ. Introduction

The time has come in our series of lessons to consider carefully the main purpose which God has for leaving us here on earth after we are saved. If you think about it carefully, you will realise that we can know God better in heaven than here on earth. The praise and worship is better in heaven, the presence of God is stronger, the blessings are greater. So why has God left us on earth?
