Evolution

The Nature of God

The Issue of Worship

In the previous lesson we saw that the Bible is God’s word to us and speaks with the authority of God to us regarding many things. One of the most important revelations we can receive from the Bible is the character of God. The Bible tells us what God is like - his attributes, his ways in dealing with mankind, his heart. Our traditions, preconceptions, experiences and reasonings do not always tell us the truth about God. The Bible does however.  read more »

Big Issues

In this section we will be looking at some of the major issues that any sensible person should pay careful attention to because of the high stakes.

WHAT are the answers to the big issues of life? Can anyone really tell us? Atheism, humanism, postmodernism, Islam, Christianity, Eastern New Age religions, the Catholic Church and others all compete for our hearts and minds. read more »

Basic Witnessing

INTRODUCTION

These days, its not hard to find plenty of things to do. Even as Christians, we may find ourselves under constant pressure to do so many things. Bills to pay, business to do and family commitments all take time. The worries of life may be crowding into our minds.

Meanwhile, the emphasis of the church is normally upon attending more meetings. Church services, prayer meetings, conventions, choir practice, youth nights, board meetings - the list goes on and on. read more »

Evidence that the Universe and the things we see in nature were Created

There are really only two possibilities.

1. The physical Universe always existed, and the things we see around us are just products of time, chance, matter and energy. People, aliens (if they exist) and all apparently conscious entities are just physical matter and physical energy which have occurred randomly and as a by product of the "laws of physics". These "laws" just "are" - there is no way to explain why they are the way they are. read more »

Unbelief in Unbelievers

Unbelief is a spirit which causes people to reject what God says is true. The more we can get unbelief concerning God's promises out of our own hearts, the more we will be effective in destroying it in those who do not yet believe. Unbelief binds the hand of God. It is one of the worst enemies to deal with. read more »

We Believe in Creation, not Evolution

We believe that the heavens and earth and all original life forms, including man, were made by the specific immediate creative acts of God as described in the account of origins presented in Genesis, and that all biological changes which have occurred since creation are limited to variation within each species.

1. God created the Heavens and the Earth - Gen 1:1.

John1:3 “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”

Create = To make without use of pre-existing material the whole visible and invisible universe.

Astronomy and Science

Do Science and Belief in God really conflict?

We may admit that some Christians do bad science. This may be especially true of those who argue for a young earth (e.g. one less than 50000 years old). But belief in God and even the Bible itself does not require one to believe in such theories. Even the word for day "yom" in the Biblical accounts in Genesis 1 and 2 certainly need not stand for 24 hours. See Reasons to Believe and other writings by Dr. read more »

Darwinism Debunked - Evolution Exposed

Naturalistic evolution is the idea that systems, especially biological systems, get more complex by themselves, without the need for some mind or spirit to guide their development. Darwinism proposes that minor changes which give certain biological organisms a survival advantage compound over time to produce major variations and changes, and that ultimately this can explain the origin of species, including man. read more »
