The Wilderness Experience

After a person truly turns to Christ and receives the assurance of God's forgiveness for their past sins, there is usually a short period of joy and blessing where everything seems so wonderful and new! Eternal Security - Dare we believe it?

Back in 1997 I spoke with a pastor and the subject of the eternal security of the believer came up. This pastor is a lovely, gracious man and is doing many things to reach people in the community with the gospel. He obviously loves the Lord and loves people. When I questioned him regarding the contents of one of the theological books he was reading, it came out that he believed in the doctrine that a truly born again believer is eternally secure, no matter what he may do from that time on. read more »

Don't let Satan lead you but be led by Spirit of God
(Romans 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.)

You must be sensitive to the power of the Holy Spirit. Learn to listen to the wooing and the correction of the Holy Spirit. You will learn to recognize His soft voice so He can speak to you daily directing you on the pathway of righteousness. We must listen to Holy Spirit or we will fall prey to the misleading voice of satan. read more »

Persevere

Phil 4:12-13 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
Do not worry about what you will eat or drink, about your clothes, or about you life. Some will die by famine, some will die by the sword, and still some will die by natural disaster. It has been written beforehand. The important thing is to persevere. read more »
