There seems to be a trend within some sections of the charismatic community to enter through a portal to some kind of heavenly realm....

This is an extra biblical practice. As far as I know the only way for us to enter into that heavenly place is through Jesus and by His Spirit.

There is no back door to Gods throne room.. No short cut...Jesus is the way..By His cross, His blood, shed for us, we may "approach the Throne of Grace with confidence" (Heb 4:16)

If anyone may be tempted to project their spirit through some portal or other, beware, It may go the wrong way..

This is an interesting debate. I can’t help but add my two penneth worth.

I was taught that there would be a secret rapture whereby Gods people would be suddenly removed from the earth leaving the remainder to face the tribulation.
I never felt comfortable with this teaching, but accepted it because those who (supposedly) knew better told me it was true.
It is clear to me now that Jesus will return in glory and every eye will see him. He will NOT come in secret.

We must not think that Jesus is empowered by our submission to Him. Rather, it is us who are empowered by Him to do the will of the Father.
Through our surrender, Jesus is able to transform us into those who are able to be used for His work.
