Are Natural Disasters a Judgment by God?

I don't know. But someone said natural disasters such as hurricanes and tsunamis cannot be a judgment of God because those who lost houses may not have been the worst sinners, and because even believers may have been effected.

Well righteous Lot had to flee from his home and city when God judged Sodom, Gomorrah and the surrounding towns.

Righteous Noah was separated from house and land for 150 days, when God judged his generation.

The circumstances of even the Prophets were effected when God judged Israel and allowed the nation to be carried away into captivity in Babylon.

Charles Wesley's Reflections on George Whitefield

(George Whitefield, long-time associate of the Wesley brothers, died on September 30, 1770, in Newburyport, Massachusetts, while on another of his preaching tours in the American colonies. John Wesley honored his fallen colleague with A Sermon on the Death of the Rev. Mr. George Whitefield, published in late November of that year. Charles Wesley added a brief funeral hymn to that sermon—see “Hymn on the Death of Whitefield” (1770).
Charles followed this brief hymn with a much longer elegy, which he completed and published in February 1771.)

Balanced Response

I remember a godly, prayerful old woman who was in our church in the early 80s who has now gone on to be with the Lord who sometimes laughed to herself pleasantly and unobtrusively, after being prayed for.

I also remember being alone praying in my room, when I was a teenager, in the early 80s. I had come home from school burdened to pray for some unsaved fellow-students. After interceding for a while, I got a note of victory in my spirit, and began to laugh.

Another Look at Daniel's Prophecy: "Knowledge Shall Be Increased"

Does the Book of Daniel really prophesy an end-time increase in international travel and scientific discovery?

Daniel was told, "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased".

"...many shall run to and fro..."

But could it mean many shall run with, act on, PROPHETIC REVELATION - rather than international air travel?

"...knowledge shall be increased"

Could it mean the KNOWLEDGE OF GOD shall be increased - rather than scientific discovery?

If America Bombs Iran

It seems a lot of people are predicting America will strike Iran → Iran will strike Israel → Israel will nuke Iran → sparking global nuclear war with muslims, Russia & China against America and Israel, bringing human civilization to an end. But someone sent me an interesting study about, "Can America Survive an All-out Nuclear Attack?" The answer is yes. And here's the reason:

Question About Divorce and Remarriage

Jesus gave this controversial commentary on Moses' WRITING OF DIVORCEMENT:

"But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery."

A Question About the 'Double Fulfillment' Hermeneutic

The following post is a question, not a statement. So you can't say you disagree with me - because I'm not asserting anything. I'm simply asking a question - sincerely.

A lot of end-times teachers and preachers are predicting that a temple shall be built in Jerusalem very soon; they tell us Russia and Iran will then surround the city and destroy the temple, and then the end shall come.

Testimony of a Student Witnessing at School

As soon as I got saved, I started witnessing to my friends at school - but at first it was just one-on-one. Then a few months later while I was getting baptized with the Holy Spirit, I saw a 'vision' of a multitude of students at my school gathered in the playground listening to the Gospel. From that moment on I started to observe a greater power in my witness. One day three of my classmates accepted Christ as Saviour, then I laid hands on them to receive the Holy Spirit and they spoke with tongues and one of them prophesied under a tree beside the school athletics oval.

The Words of Jesus

There are some really good reasons why every one of us ought to desire to become absolute EXPERTS at the WORDS OF JESUS:

Firstly, because the WORD which Jesus spoke shall one day JUDGE us eternally.

Secondly, because only the WORDS of Jesus have the potential to give us ETERNAL LIFE, if we keep them.

And thirdly, because the Great Commission tells us to go and make disciples in every nation, teaching them to observe all things which Jesus COMMANDED.

Why Laugh in the Spirit?

When you hear someone laughing in the spirit, there is more that is happening than meets the eye. Angels are involved. Victories are being won. It could be called a form of prayer.

Laughter in the Spirit is a faith-response by our spirit to God's victory through Christ over the devil.

Laughter in the Spirit is a participation by the believer in the victory of Him of Whom it is written, "He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh".
