I need a lot of prayer and guidance...

Please read this in the Spirit since I can't really explain everything.

My fiancee and I took a "break" from Christ for about 8 months, in the meantime engaging in a whole bunch of sin and ruining a lot of things throughout our lives. I'm done with it, cause I just can't handle being away from Christ anymore, especially since its been killing me almost from the start. However, she doesn't want to come back just yet. Needless to say, we're still stuck in sexual immorality and we can't get out. read more »

I'm at the end of myself....

I'm at a complete end...I'm not sure where to go with this. This is probably gossip, but I have no choice, I need help.

I work at a Christian camp focused primarily on inner city youth from a local city. Every summer we bring around 200 kids to enjoy a free week of camp in which we present the Gospel to them and try to establish relationships with them. This fall we're starting a discipleship program that is the reason for my being on staff. This is mainly an attempt to take the relationship even further and sort of ensure that they begin to grow in Christ. read more »

Debating...

For preparation and educational purposes, I want to bring the topics of debates to the table. The main reason for bringing this up, is because it seems to be the main reaction of people here in the US to anything Scriptural, spiritual, or in any other way controversial, and thus evangelism. Not only this, but that apologetics and dealing with objections has always been around. read more »

An animal issue that we all may struggle with at some point...

I had bought a bunny at an auction almost 6 years ago that turned out to be one of my best friends and a real comfort to me. Over those six years, she had settled in with two dogs, three different cats, and two other bunnies. She was really gentle, for the most part, and friendly. I watched them all play, eat, and lay with each other. :) Picture a big, tall lab eating hay or bunny pellets or whatever next to a bunny who is eating hay, herself, it was strange. Even stranger than this, both are dogs are trained to hunt birds and small game. read more »

Strangers, friendship, dating, and marriage

I have some things that I need some guidance on, if anyone can help me here.

As I am 19, I'm growing up in a culture where everything goes in any relationship. You can have sex if and when you want, you can split up if and when you want. Relationships are selfish and have no true love or substance to them.

Before I came to know Jesus, I was all about this kind of "relationship." I had no morals or boundaries and so I was up for generally anything. read more »

Did God make you and I as sinners? - comment board

I read the article you had up, and saw there was no section for comments, so I thought I'd set one up.

"Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me."
- Psalm 51:5

Can a child that has stolen from his mother's purse, without knowing it was wrong go to heaven if he was to die right after he did it?

How to evangelize

I was going to post a big long article about this and about my study of the Scriptures concerning it, but I think it would be best for all of us if we did a dialogue on this. Post the things that you find is wrong about certain ways to witness. Different Scriptures encouraging evangelism, and more specifically, how to evangelize.

I have dealt with many "methods" and ways to evangelize, but I have found many points wrong with it. I know that ignorance has a lot to do with it and I know that "being set in your ways" or even being misled is part of it. read more »

Jesuits, and the sort

What do you guys think of the whole Jesuit thing? Is it something that any of us should consider looking into, or believing? Is it some sort of conspiracy like the UFO/alien stuff? I've been reading a very long page, as well as talking to a friend about them and now that I'm half-way through the page I'm wondering if this is true or not. It is a well written page. Discipleship/Evangelism - My ministry.

I am, by the grace and will of God, starting a program with my church that gives people a better (or at least another) opportunity to take home the sermon and/or other topics. It also trains people to read their Bibles and study for themselves what it is that it says.

What I am hoping and praying for is that this could spread throughout Biblical churches and get people not only hearing the Word, but doing the Word. This is something that I believe we all need to consider. read more »

Grace, Faith, and Works

First thing I want to say is that I do not agree with faith-plus. That is a horrible heretical doctrine that takes salvation away from God and makes it something we can do. We cannot save ourselves, praise to the Lamb who has shed His blood for us!

Now, the first thing I’d like you to know is the importance of works and that there are two different kinds of works. Works are important in that they show where your heart is. They are evidence of your faith and they’re important for everything you can possibly do for Christ. Works also show who/what your master is. read more »
