A Divine Revelation of Hell - Mary K. Baxter

I first read this book in the Romanian language in 1995 or thereabouts. It really impacted me then. Of course, it is not compulsory to believe in the visions and revelations of others (unless they are in the Bible), but if God speaks to you through this, then praise His Holy Name.

I imagine hell is far worse than our minds are willing to imagine. We are on this earth for a very limited season. For some people, life is cut off unexpectedly.

It is safer and better in every way to repent (turn from sin to God) than to have a theology which says you don't need to repent. Satan always likes to have versions of the Christian religion in which you don't need to fear God, turn from sin, or really trust God with your life. If the revelation of Mary Baxter is true, then such Christianity will be worthless in protecting you from the terrors of hell after you leave this earth in a few short years or decades.

The major sin that westerners need to repent of is PRAYERLESSNESS. We think we can live life properly without being in strong fellowship with God. WRONG. Without prayer, we will soon go astray. How can you love God without regularly talking with God? God is not a mute idol that cannot speak.

Anyway, without going on too much more myself, I include these links to audio versions of Mary K. Baxters book.

Comments

To sum this up

I can come to no other conclusion that Baxter is a false prophet:

1. Jesus does not take people down to hell to JUDGE those that are there

Baxter's story is filled with so many instances of this. And in each case she is asking "Jesus" the question about why they were there. I don't know how else to put this; IT'S NONE OF HER BUSINESS and it's none of our business either. This is severely trespassing upon final judgment.

2. Jesus does not decree "PEACE BE STILL" to the damned

No way, No how...

Philippians 4:7 (Amplified)
And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

There's no peace in hell. So either Jesus is a liar or Baxter is a liar. The Amplified says that God's peace is a "tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ."

3. The Word of God is not being preached in hell

Baxter tells of a man...
We walked directly past some of the evil beings, which didn't seem to see us, and stopped at another pit of fire and brimstone. In this next pit was a large-framed man. I heard him preaching the gospel...I watched the man spread his hands as if he were holding a book and begin to read Scriptures from the make-believe book. Again, I remembered what Jesus had said: "You have all your senses in hell, and they are a lot stronger here." The man read Scripture after Scripture, and I thought it was good. Jesus said to the man with great love in His voice, "Peace, be still." Immediately, the man stopped talking and turned slowly to look at Jesus.

No way, no how. The Word of God is life and health to all those that find it. Ephesians 5:26 speaks of the washing of water with the Word. There's no life (or water in any sense of the meaning of water) in hell therefore there is no Word of God in hell. For Baxter to say about the man preaching; "I thought it was good" is extremely gross.

4. Baxter's story significantly contradicts Wiese's story

- Wiese' claims there is no communication between souls in hell, none whatsoever. Baxter (see point #3) and in at least one other instance leads one to no other conclusion that souls communicate with each other in hell.

- Wiese' claims there is no blood in hell because life is in the blood and there's no life in hell. Baxter tells of a story of a former preacher in a coffin who said...
"Lord, Lord, let me out. Have mercy." I looked down and saw a bloody mess. Before my eyes was a soul. Inside the soul was a human heart, and blood spurted from it. The thrusting of the spears were literally piercing his heart.

Someone is lying. Either Baxter is lying, Wiese is lying or both are lying.

5. A Divine Revelation of Hell?

People here are saying that since hell is true and since the Holy Spirit is sent to guide us into all truth, that Baxter's "revelation" of hell must also be true. I don't know how one can come to that conclusion, if anything we are to think on things from above, not below...

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

6. Baxter claims special revelation and knowledge that no-one else can claim

In more than one place, Baxter sees herself likewise as John who wrote the book of Revelations..."I want you to write a book and tell of the visions and of all the things I reveal to you. You and I will walk through hell together. Make a record of these things which were and are and are to come. My words are true, faithful and trustworthy. I Am That I Am, and there is none beside Me."

Is this special "revelation" her entire ministry?

Hear o ye generation of vipers

I would liken people's comment on mary baxter to the days of noah. Many did not believe noah except his family when he told them about the flood. So it is with Baxter, many do not believe, but I have a word for ye generation of unbelievers that ye repent or spend eternity in HELL. Hell is real so is Heaven therefore return to your God and avoid analysis that would lead to paralysis...

Where's the scripture for that?

There is no requirement anywhere in scripture to believe the words of someone who says "Thus saith the Lord." One is to test and prove all things. Even more-so because Baxter includes special revelation of a subject matter whose mere definition means unseen (Hades actually means the unseen.) I retain the God-given right to say "no" I don't believe these words are the words of God; this has nothing to do with one's salvation.

And what if the prophetess was actually true and one doesn't believe she speaks the words of God? The answer is nothing because there is no demand in scripture to believe a messenger who comes and says "Thus saith the Lord" and especially one who speaks of revelations that are not in scripture. The Bible has already been written and it is a closed book; translation I don't have to believe anyone or everyone's personal revelation.

subject to bondage

Hebrews 2:13-15
And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through the fear of death were all their lifetime SUBJECT TO BONDAGE.

This scripture makes it very clear to me that being SUBJECT TO BONDAGE comes through the fear of death. In other words, I cannot overcome bondage as long as I am in fear of it--the root of which is the fear of DEATH. If I fearful of committing the sin then I am ultimately fearful of death. If you are fearful of committing sin you will stay in bondage to it and continue doing it.

But the good news is that, and I'm learning, is that Romans 8:2, Romans 6:18, 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 and numerous other scriptures say that I am FREE from the power of sin--the sting of DEATH. So I declare the Word of God on me that sin shall not have dominion over me Romain 6:14 and God backs up His Word that comes out of MY mouth and MY heart and sees to it that that My words (which are His Words) don't fall to the ground (1 Samuel 3:19.) If I say what God says about me then I can't be lying!

Going back to Hebrews 2:13-15...if you are fearful of death you will be subject to bondage. This hits such a nerve with me because I can see the fear that Mary's testimony may bring to people. Why would one be fearful of death if it were not for hell? So then the fear of hell will NOT GET YOU OUT OF BONDAGE. Sure the fear of hell may cause you to temporarily stop (like the fear of dying from a drug overdose may temporarily stop you from doing drugs) but it won't cause us to walk in the freedom from sin we have.

If Jesus is going down there

If Jesus is going down there with Mary and conversing with people in hell then what purpose is the Great White Throne Judgment?

Mary Baxter & Vision Of Hell

Here is the problem that I have with her book...Throughout the book Jesus promises that He will never leave or forsake Mary while she is in hell but then Jesus does desert Mary in hell..Jesus leaves Mary there to experience the torments of hell...Quote page 179 " Oh, Lord, save me," I cried. Over and over I called out to God to help me. I could not see Him or feel Him. I was in hell just like the rest of the ones I had seen. I fell to the floor in pain and cried. I felt I was forever lost. Unquote...For hours she was left by herself in hell...

Jesus promised not to leave Mary but He does and that makes Jesus a liar....Would Jesus lie...No, He cannot lie nor will He sin...

I read with great caution her books...They are based on dreams and visions and can be deceitful...

I agree. I haven't read her

I agree. I haven't read her book but have read her website and seen her videos. For me it's that Jesus said "Peace be still" to the lost. And then the judgment; what good is it for Jesus to go down there and tell the lost that if only they would have believed on Him they would have been saved?

In the end it's some woman's story about something and that's pretty much it. That's not to say there is no hell or to diminish or lighten the severity of it. However, just because someone preaches against sin doesn't mean that what they preach is according to the Word. She mentioned in one of her videos about those who preach that once-saved-always-saved and alluded that they would be in hell too!

If you are born-again from death to life then somehow you lost your salvation you'd have to be born-again from life to death. According to Hebrews 6:4-8 this is possible but it is NOT reversible--that is there is no more repentance and I believe it's because they don't want it. She preaches repentance but according to Hebrews these people (the ones who once had but lost their salvation) cannot be brought back to repentance. If that's true then that means if you desire repentance you never lost your salvation in the first place! Besides, how many people are out there that have "tasted the heavenly gift and...have felt how good the Word of God is and the mighty power of the age and world to come?" Yet a number of the lost souls she supposedly met in hell were previously Christians! How can this be?

Mary Baxters's testimony of

Mary Baxters's testimony of hell also contradicts Bill Wiese's testimony of hell. Bill claims that although you can hear the cries and screams of other people, you never get to communicate with other people. You are all alone forever and you know it. However, Mary claims that she was left alone in hell and...

--A woman's voice from the next cell said to me, "You are lost in this place of torment. There is no way out of here."

Yet both Mary and Bill have preached together.

what I believe

Jesus said "Peace be still" on numerous occasions to souls in hell? This is so absurd on so many levels. Jesus is the Word of God made flesh, the power of God resides in the power of His spoken Word. If Jesus said "Peace be still" to someone there would be peace and they would be still. Likewise if a son or a daughter of God says "Peace be still" and believes in his/her heart that those things which he/she says will come to pass it will. I don't think there is any mention anywhere in scripture where someone in hell experienced peace because Jesus went down there. What possible reason can there be for Jesus to bring Mary to lost souls to discuss why they were there? I'll phrase, what is it to Mary to know these things? What possible revelation can come out of it that is not already in the Word of God? On the contrary, in John 21:18-22 Peter said to Jesus "Lord, what about this man?" and Jesus said to Peter "...what is that to you? You follow me!"

I believe Jesus is the firstborn of God and we too are sons and daughters of God if we accept His sacrifice and believe on Him--we are born again from death to life. We become new creations old things passed away and all things become new. I don't believe that one stops being a son or a daughter by living in disobedience to their parents. I believe there are those that have known and tasted everything and then choose to reject the Gospel Hebrews 6:4-8. I don't believe these can be made to come to repentance again--they don't even have a desire to come to repentance again. But these people have KNOWN and grown up into the FULLNESS in Christ and experienced the mighty powers of this age and the world to come--I don't believe there are very many people that have experienced this. So it seems it is possible to be born again from death to life and then be born again from life to death...but how can one possibly flip back and forth between death and life being born again over and over again? That seems absurd to me and contradicts Hebrews 6:4-8. The scripture makes no reference to being born again (as in from death to life) twice. I don't believe these people commit sins of the flesh, these are sins of the spirit which I think are willful rejection and blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

I believe that the only sin that will send one to hell is rejecting the sacrifice Jesus made. There is nothing we can do to earn or keep our salvation. It is by grace by faith. Our spirit is born again and the seed of sin is no longer in us. We may sin but it is not in us to keep on sinning even though we may be controlled by and yield to our flesh and unrenewed mind. The scripture says that if you live according to the flesh you will die--but after being born again this is not talking about going to hell--this is talking about reaping what we sow here and now. The kingdom of God is here on this earth right now and we won't partake of the kingdom of God if we sin. We don't seek to attain righteousness, we realize that righteousness has been imputed to us, and then we go in the Word of God to find out what righteous people do!

Let God be True and Everyone a liar

Her stories are filled with beliefs that completely contradict the bible and usurps the Word of God. She says that there was a man who once "KNEW" the Lord and the Lord even tells the man that He KNEW him. The bible clearly teaches that those who are condemned never KNEW the Lord, not KNEW Him once, then departed.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. (John 10:27-29)

Jesus's sheep know Him and can NEVER be removed out of His hand. Furthermore, in Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus tells those who call Him Lord..."I NEVER KNEW you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I know that I will be criticised for exposing her and being accused of accusing her. It doesn't matter how nice a person is because that doesn't amount to a hill of beans when it is exposed by the Word of the Lord.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart

ive read both her books from

ive read both her books from years before and i would say, it had a great impact on me and my friends because by reading her book, we woke up to reality& immediately went out to share to others the gospel of jesus christ. every person who testifies that he or she's seen heaven or hell is always subject to scrutiny..many will say i have a gift of this and that, i know more and i think its no true but many will also say that they believe based on this and that fact..point is, just read the book with opened eyes, ask god to guide you and not lean on your own understanding, and see how it affects your faith, has it grown stronger? has it awaken you? did it make you want to reach out to people and snatch them away from the fire?..prayer changes things..go and spread the word god said..

Mary K. Baxter - Visions of Hell and Visions of Heaven

I have listened to tapes that are available with Mary K. Baxter sharing her visions of hell, and I have read some of the book on her visions of heaven. I actually know a good Christian friend who is a social worker and Christian therapist in ministry in her church and a teacher in a university who also was shown hell in her teenager. The LORD opened up the earth and showed her a friend who was tormented in hell crying out to her not to come to this place of torment. It changed her life. God the Holy Spirit WILL show to mankind whatever is the TRUTH and hell certainly IS a truth. God the Holy Spirit WILL show to mankind whatever is needful to bring us to repentance, and as the Word says, some WILL be saved with fear, Jude 1:20-23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
In regard to the work of God the Holy Spirit, the LORD Jesus Christ is the Word of God, the LORD tells us what the ministry of God the Holy Spirit is in - Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. Joh 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: Joh 15:27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning. Joh 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. Joh 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Joh 16:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
Joh 16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Joh 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. Joh 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. Joh 16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. Joh 16:15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
The Word of God discusses hell in the KJV Bible in - Deu 32:22; 2Sa 22:6; Job 11:8; Job 26:6; Psa 9:17; Psa 16:10; Psa 18:5; Psa 55:15; Psa 86:13; Psa 116:3; Psa 139:8; Pro 5:5; Pro 7:27; Pro 9:18; Pro 15:11; Pro 15:24; Pro 23:14; Pro 27:20; Isa 5:14; Isa 14:9; Isa 14:15; Isa 28:15; Isa 28:18; Isa 57:9; Eze 31:16; Eze 31:17; Eze 32:21; Eze 32:27; Amo 9:2; Jon 2:2; Hab 2:5; Mat 5:22; Mat 5:29; Mat 5:30; Mat 10:28; Mat 11:23; Mat 16:18; Mat 18:9; Mat 23:15; Mat 23:33; Mar 9:43; Mar 9:45; Mar 9:47; Luk 10:15; Luk 12:5; Luk 16:23; Act 2:27; Act 2:31; Jas 3:6; 2Pe 2:4; Rev 1:18; Rev 6:8; Rev 20:13; Rev 20:14.
In these times the word of God the Holy Spirit is to continue to bring souls into the Kingdom of God and He will show us visions of hell and of heaven to further reveal the truth of the reality of both.
For Christ Jesus says in Joh 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
May all who hear the Word of God hear with hearing ears and a softened heart and come to repentance. Amen.

Visions of Hell by Mary Baxter

First I'm assuming the Hell that she is speaking of is the place of Eternal Torment or Lake of Fire and not the temporary place of death referred to as Sheol/Hades.

I've always thought that Hell being the Lake of Fire is currently empty? Just an observation.

REV 20:7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth--Gog and Magog--to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. 9 They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

REV 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

The Beast and the False Prophet are the first to be thrown into the Lake here after Tribulation. Then at the end of the Millenium we see the final judgement where those whose names are not written in the Book of Life being thrown in with them along with Death & Hades.

So what is this person seeing? I know people who are going to the Lake of Fire are burning or in torment as they wait for judgement. This is recorded in the New Teatament in the parable of the death of the begger & the Rich man.

LK 16:22 "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, `Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

The other thing that comes to mind is that Jesus talks about the sign of Jonah.

MT 12:39 He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now one greater than Jonah is here. 42 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon's wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.

Going back to the Rich man and Lazarus. Listen to what is said to the Rich Man's when he requested that a message be sent back to his brothers so they don't end up where he is.

LK 16:27 "He answered, `Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'

LK 16:29 "Abraham replied, `They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'

LK 16:30 " `No, father Abraham,' he said, `but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

LK 16:31 "He said to him, `If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "

I understand full well that the Bible does teach us that those who are not saved will face Eternal Torment in the Lake of Fire. However the main emphasis of the Apostles teaching was about Christ and His crucifixion.

Not sure what this woman thinks having visions of Hell is for. I can't find any Scripture encouraging us to scare people into repentance. Years of "hell fire and brimstone" sermons in the past haven't really worked.

The other thing is that I'm very wary of anyone that says they had any kind of vision today. For a variety of reasons I won't bother going into. However, we can find all we need to know for salvation already in the Bible. It is complete and required no further prophecies or visions. Not saying that people are not genuinely getting visions or prophecies today. However in the area of SALVATION, we are not missing any knowledge it is all there in our Bibles, nothing extra required.

How is this salvation made known but through the GOSPEL?

RO 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."

What is the GOSPEL about but Jesus Christ!

RO 1:1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God-- 2 the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures 3 regarding his Son, who as to his human nature was a descendant of David, 4 and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. 5 Through him and for his name's sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith. 6 And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.

So I see no need for anyone to be preaching about Hell when the POWER of Salvation lies in the GOSPEL message.

Some people who know the gospel don't share it

"So I see no need for anyone to be preaching about Hell when the POWER of Salvation lies in the GOSPEL message."

My reply is in regard to that last sentence of your comment on Mary K. Baxter's book, The Divine Revelation of Hell.
If it hadn't been for me searching the internet out of curiosity as to what the fuss of Hell was all about, I never would have known the depth of the torment that goes on there. I believe this woman is telling the truth. I also believe that not every christian shares the message that they know full well will save someone from that terrible place. When I read Mary K. Baxter's testimony online I admit I was scared breathless. I knew I was going there because I didn't know Jesus. No one ever told me about his gift. When I prayed that prayer of salvation, alone, in my living room, in front of my computer, sobbing, asking God to please not send me there: I felt so free. And when I found out this news about Jesus, I wanted to tell everyone I knew! I don't have many friends and I don't socialize alot but I do talk to my next-door neighbor alot. She was the first person I shared the Message with. But she said she already knew, she was already a christian. "Why didn't you tell me?", I asked her. She said she was afraid I wouldn't want to come over and visit her anymore. I understood, but I thanked God for Mary K. Baxter, because if my neighbor, whom I talk with almost every day, was too afraid to tell me this wonderful news, I was sure that no one else would have the courage. I would have never known the POWER of Salvation if it hadn't been for someone preaching about hell. The word of the Lord written in the Bible may be complete, but God's power is not limited to it.

"Hell Vision"

I agree with Melody cat! we need to be wary of this "hell vision" stories that seem to be popping up all over the place.a quick note to Michael,Peer, and TIM, please be careful of accusing people of being spiritually proud, when they ask questions and raise comments. Honestly, it comes across, as if "you guys are right and everyone else is wrong", "who is more learned when it comes to bible issues", etc. and that in itself borders on spiritual pride.Otherwise, great site!

I will keep your point in

I will keep your point in mind. I have taken correction here before. When one comes to teach, they must also come to listen and learn. There are people who occasionally post here who ARE spiritually proud. I will call them on it if I believe they are leaving the impression they are right and anyone who disagrees is on the wrong side of God's favor.

Feel free to review my posts and if you have a specific reply of mine that you feel is off base you may email me privately and I will discuss my action privately and receive your response. I will also repent openly to that specific post if I see my comment as uncalled for.

This site is one of Michael's ministry outreach and so he has the responsibility to call it as he sees it. He is well aware that he will answer to the Lord for what goes on here.

You are right in saying we need to watch our tone. I always try to do that and I don't mind trying a little harder. I am glad you are here and enjoying the site!

Blessings and Peace,
Timothy

Mary Baxter Revelations of ????

Saw this book in a book shop ... having the gift of discernment I reacted very strongly to this book.. I do not believe that the book was inspired by the Holy Spirit. I would caution any one tempted to read it to be very cautious. If you MUST read it .. then read with great discernment. I am always astounded at these so called revelations of hell. .. don't people read the Bible? Why would Jesus show people a revelation of Hell? The Holy Spirit reveals GOD! Nothing else. Any other relevation that is not a revelation of GOD is suspect.

Question about the validation text.... it's making me very uncomfortable reading the phrase to search the word ... what is it? where does it originate? Do you know what you have on there?

The Holy Spirit will guide you into ALL truth

You say: "The Holy Spirit reveals GOD! Nothing else."

The Bible, on the other hand says,

John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

I could go on and on. You write, "Don't people read the Bible?"

I am sure you read it, but the "pride of your heart has deceived you" (Obadiah 1:3), and you read it through a theological grid which denies some of the most straightforward assertions made in the Bible. Stop boasting about your "gift of discernment" which anyone can claim that they have, and get to know the Holy Spirit who is quite capable of talking on any subject that HE wishes to.

"In Him [Jesus] are hid ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge".

And please refrain from linking to your site on this forum. I'm sorry, but you have started in such a way that I won't allow this site to endorse what you are saying.

Revelations

I have read Mary K. Baxter's book and I was so able to identify with some of what she said which was scary and still is right now scary, but since I am a believer washed in the blood of Jesus Christ and I have experienced so much in my life that I give God big credit for changing my life. It is amazing that people can believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny and not Jesus and God and refuse to acknowledge Hell.

All Christians have certain abilities and some have great gifts and my gift by the Spirit of God is I am a Discerner. I feel things and see things outside of this world, I can see in the spiritual realm concerning some events and a person's personal life. For so long since I was a child I could do this and know things before they happened and I was petrified. The Enemy came and took advantafge of what God has given me and I have fought with demons for too long. In short they scared me to near death and then I ran to God and Jesus saved me and I learned to bind up the evil spirits and I pleaded the blood of Jesus over my life, my family and my home. Now I do not wake up screaming and I am not wide awake running from a thing that has no power over me. Demons and Hell are real and so is Heaven and I have experience both and still do battle and I will fight on the front lines as a soldier in the Army of God until I go to Heaven.

By the blood of Jesus and the promises of God I bind up every wick thing in high and low places and in Heaven it is bound as Jesus has said. I fear no man, but I find comfort in my Father in Heaven who gives me power and a fantastic gift.
I can look in your eyes and see straight through you. A person can tell me a lie and I know it is a lie the moment they speak it. By the power of God I am blessed to know some things and see into the spirit world.

I have one regret and that is I had a co-worker friend and I was going through some issues in my life and not as focused on God as I should have been and my friend was not as open with me as she could have been and I never saw her much, but I wish I had spoke to her at least one time about God and how much she needed Jesus. I spoke with her 2 weeks before she was murdered by a person she trusted. To this day it hurts to lose her because it was a holiday and we were going to get together since it had been like 3 months since I last saw her. I remember speaking with her 2 weeks before she was killed. I also remember telling her to stay out of bad situations. I never told her about Jesus and I should have told her. I do not know if anyone else told her, but I know I regret not telling her and I felt she was lost and I cried and I fell to the ground and I cried more because I know she died without Jesus and she has been suffering something awful and she was a good person and it is not about being good it is about being cleansed of our sins.

I have to live with that for the rest of my life. I mean I could have told her and that does not mean she would have accepted Christ, but at least I would have told her. It is so painful for me because I can feel she is suffering and in pain in Hell and I see people that I do not want to see in different situations and they are not in this life and the reality of that and all the non-believers make me vomit. Mary K Baxter brought me back to myself and how I do not want to be lost suffering beyond belief forever.

I had my own unforgettanle encounter with Hell and thank God it was not as intense as Mary's experience, but it was painful and to this very day I still feel the pain and fear of that day when I fell into this fiery pit and I was wide awake at home in my bedroom and then I was not and it was so painful and God knows that I will always remember to not forget how fierce that fire was and I have never to this day seen a flame light that. I do not know why that happened to me, but I am glad I was not dead. OK, I am crying way too much right now and I am so freakin emotional. God has called me by my name and I have a purpose to fulfill. I am a new Author, but I have not written about my experiences because I was not led in that direction, but I was led to win souls to the Kingdom of God with courage and never backing down knowing my reward in Heaven is Awesome. I am a motivational writer and I pray that God uses this talent He has blessed me to have to win many people to taking the highway to Heaven. We all have a free will to choose who we will serve and if you are not washed in the blood of Jesus and cleansed from all sin then you are not serving God. We are all God's creation, we are not all God's children. I wish you all the Best.

Spiritual gift

I had the same gift like yours and I know that this gift brings a great commission. I too had fought spiritually with demons while I was young. I would see were the evil spirits were present around people and places. I have a keen sense of touch and I can sense spiritual things very easily though it be good or evil. I felt like a great power inside me which attracted the Spirit world. I thank God for He choose me to be in His presence. God had been gracious, I have not experienced Hell but I can tell you how beautiful it is to be in the presence of God.

Read your post and found it ususual but need feedback

Hi Anurekha, Read your post and was a little bit confused. You say you actually saw evil spirits but what about Godly spirits? You touched on it but you didn't actually mentioned it. Reason I'm asking is because I too had a spiritual experience-4 of them to be precised. Three physical and one audio. My name was called out twice, while in prison, by myself, in a cell, a long time ago. I never forgot those spiritual visits, nobody ever does. I'm a born again Christian today but I went about the hard way through alcoholism and wild women. I have had at least 4 near death experiences which I came within an inch of losing my life, yet I was spared. I attribute that to Jesus and his angels. When you saw evil spirits what did they look like? I know the bible mentions them as ugly festering beings, but what say you? What about the good spirits, did you see any of them-angels maybe? I just want to get some feedback on this subject and will probably not ask again, because I believe if any christian inquires too much of the dark side the evil spirits will come knocking. I know I was given the privilege of feeling and hearing the presence of God and his angels, so I better do something about it. I have brought two people to Christ, so I've done something. Thanks for reading this and please answer.

Why is it strange that Jesus

Why is it strange that Jesus would visit her?

Not Thrilled

I am not thrilled with Baxter's books. I won't say that she is a false prophet, because I do not truly know. However, it seems very odd that Jesus would come to her in dreams for 40 nights. Then there are some things in her books that are not scriptural at all.

Of course, when she says that you can lose salvation for not believing, that IS true. The people preaching "once saved always saved" are the ones that are false.

I met this lady and author

I met this lady and author personaly in 2005. Reading from a book , and actually seeing what she is about, are truly two different things. Please do not be discouraged, or pass any judgement on Mary. I fed her at my home dinner , and talked with her with amazement. ONe thing I know, is, when a bug flew in our front door which was attracted by a lamp, she got up quick, and demanded that the bug be killed. She said, they are evil, and to just get rid of it! I asked why...and she said, that they are certain reminders of the terrifiying experiences she faced while visiting Hell. It was really something to meet Mary, her demeanor and personality, truly say....*"I have experienced something no one ever should of experienced!" This book is encouraging...anytime, I think or am tempted to backslide, I think about what is only the tip of what Hell is really like, and how ready we should always be at any given moment. God says, we are not promised another day! Death can be at your front door tommorow. Are you ready to meet your maker? If not, its time to get right with God, and accept Him as your Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ!! God Bless all who read this!

Read this...

Got the book out of the library about 1 1/2 years ago, wasn't sure what to make of it at first. (This being since the bible says we should test all prophecy, and I was quite new to this at the time!) A lot of the descriptions found in the book, however, seem to be similar to those found in the Bible 'where their worm shall not die, and the fire is not quenched' -in graphic detail! I think this may well be true, and certainly is a challenging book for those- like me- are unsure of what those who are lost will end up (I pray I may not backslide entirely and end up thus!) and our need to win people to Christ (like I don't always...) One thing I am unsure of- how much of what the Lord showed Mary Baxter just to give a sense of things (like hell being at the centre of the Earth- physically or spiritually or both?)- albeit in a very vivid, real and terrifying way?

Note, to avoid complete discouragement, read 'A Divine Revelation of Heaven', by the same author.

Mary Baxter Revelations of Hell

You may want to locate the missing tape #12 and delete #15 which is not a part of Mary Baxter's testimony....
