Even short prayers can produce the most tremendous results

It’s a war
There are approximately 7 billion people on the planet but there are only about 2 billion people that call themselves Christians, so we are outnumbered but only by statistics because if there was only 1 Christian in the world the rest of the world would be outnumbered in the terms of power. People all over the world pray to false idols and false God’s and we know that their time and prayers go unanswered but our prayers do not go unanswered. We can pray the most basic, simplest and shortest of prayers and expect to see very powerful results:-
Elijah
In James 5:17 it says; Elijah was a man just like you and me and in 1 Kings chapter 18 Elijah was the only one of God’s prophets left and he stood against 450 of Baal and 400 prophets of Asherah prophets, so 1 man of God stood against 850 false prophets. Elijah then proposed a test to see which God was more powerful and he suggested that they both take a bull and sacrifice it and then place on wood and then call upon their God to light the fire. Whichever God would light the fire would be the one true God. Elihaj let the false prophets have the first pick of the bulls and the first go at calling for their God to light the fire. They called on their God from morning to noon, 6 long hours of calling and dancing to a God that did not exist, phew I bet they were frustrated and very tired. Then Elijah began to tease and mock them and explained that maybe their God was asleep or deep in thought or maybe travelling around, maybe he was at B and Q buying fire lighters? Now this makes me laugh because we know that our God never sleeps and in fact God is always with us at all times. The false prophets even began to cut themselves, to spill their own blood as they danced and shouted. Elijah wanted them to try everything so that they would be left with no excuse for their failure. Now this went on until evening so it would have been about 6 o’clock, so that’s about 12 hours of frantic prayer, you have to give them 10 of 10 for effort. Now it was Elijah’s turn and he instructed the people to repair the alter of the Lord that the people had previously torn down, so these were Godly people at one time and the Lord wanted them back. Then Elijah instructed the people to dig a trench and to fill 4 large jugs with water and then to pour these over the bull and the wood, he told them to do this 3 times so that they would have no excuse for his success. Then Elijah stepped forward and prayed this simple short prayer; LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. Answer me, LORD, answer me, so these people will know that you, LORD, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again. Then the fire of the Lord fell down and not only did it burn up the bull but it also burned up the wood, the stones, the soil and the water that was in the trench. We are Christians and God stands with us mighty in power and when we pray He always gives us more than we ask for. If the Lord be for us then who can stand against us?

I like this verse very much.It makes me feel bold to ask every impossible & difficult things.
I like to pray every now & then, whenever i get time. Sometimes when i feel low about certain prayer request, and i ask God how will this happen ? the circumstances are going from bad to worse. He has assured me by saying “the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this” (Isaiah 37:32).
So i just have to offer it to the Lord, rest God will take care of it.
